I have the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ with 512 gb storage and 12 gb ram. I understand why there is no need for a micro sd. I use like 98gb out of 512. The camera is good, focusing on real time looks, not adding saturation. That gives me more options for adding effects to my photos like saturation, vibrance, contrast etc. The battery is really good with fast charging, i can have it for a day not charging and i still have some battery for the next day (of course without intense use for games or watching a ton of movies in a day). I like the curved screen, it looks awesome especially when i zoom on something and i move around the photo/document it looks cool how it seems like it falls. The android 13 is not a problem for me since I still had android 8, heck not even the full android 8 until a year ago. The phone runs smooth, no problem with it, there might be some problems like screen glitching when playing fortnite but that can be solved from the dev options to activate the OpenGl. In other words, the phone is really good. In my opinion the samsung just feels too light and like it could snap at anytime. For those obsessed by os regular updates hype I'm currently experiencing serious battery drain issue on my Samsung A54 since its last security update (July 2024): battery charged at 100% before sleeping drops to 73/75 % during my sleep. I turned off mobile data, Wi-Fi and put it on "sleep mode" until I wake up as I thought that it could be due to power hungry applications running background when the phone is on stand-by but it is still the same trend. OS and security updates are important but they can bring sometimes more problems than improvements but camera wise it has improved with os support. I just hope that next os security update will fix battery drain issue because it can no longer hold the full charge on stand-by unless I turn it off completely. The next phone meant to replace my A54 will be either the future Redmi Note Pro 14 or 15.

After that i had the s3 and then s4 that's when i started having problems with their batteries. My s4 battery swelled just after year, so i replaced that with the S5, even that battery dropped just after a year. In 2017 I got A9 and also bought J7 Max for my mom. Oh!! I also bought VIVO V3 MAX for my wife. And that was the 1st "Chinese" phone in my family. She had to choose that coz it came with bundled VR goggles🤣🤣🤣🤣. Both the A9 and the J7 Max also had battery problems after a year or so. Got the battery replaced, lasted for a few more months then failed again. Got the S9 in 2019 sim tray issues first and then same battery issues again only after a year. And in the middle of 2020 when i was looking for a new galaxy phone I realised something. Why is my wife's chinese phone charged so much faster than all my expensive galaxy phones and how did she never have any issues with her phones for the last 3 years while i was busy changing my phones or running to the service centres. That's when i first gave a "Chinese" phone a try, the Realme X50 Pro!!! Agree. My redmi note 10 experiences random restarts. Like when I'm scrolling in tiktok or casual gaming, it just restarts on its own. There's no overheating happening. Maybe Xiaomi's hardware are better but the quality goes to samsung. Not to mention my redmi phone only got 2 major updates. My samsung A22 5g is still almost 70 to 80 percent it's performance compared to when I bought it new. While my redmi drops to 30 to 80 percent the performance.
i hate to buy chinese products because of unfairness in the market and technology theft along the years . :( but i guess i will go with the redmi on my next purchase
2 annoying things about the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is that Spotify will suddenly close(yeah battery restrictions is off) and sometimes when watching a video in Instagram and you press Home, the audio still plays.
In my opinion, Samsung A55 is better. The Redmi has ads blaotwares, and even though it is good in papers, you will feel performance drop after a year. Also the Samsung has some blaotwares, but it can be removed easily.
Theese are bias comments obviously. The ads and bloatware can be disabled and removed. Making blanket statements of performance drop in a year on a device you haven't used is wild
The main reason the A series is popular is because of the SD Card slot. Everything else is pretty meh. The Redmi doesn't have that, so it's an easy choose.

This is the review I wanted to see. Had a samsung a long time ago, was crappy. Afterwards switched to redmi note 8 and afterwards to poco x3 i use to this day so quite looking forward to the end of the video.
Nice balanced review. Having tried both devices in hand today, I prefer the lighter weight and snappier feel of the Redmi. Scrolling around in the menu feels smoother and faster. Samsung's UI feels a tad more sluggish. Also, the Samsung A55 feels unnecessarily heavy? It is bulkier and heavier than my Samsung Note 10+ that is in a casing! That said, I might still go for Samsung after all because of the better support and longer software / security updates. It also seems the colour balance of the camera is better on the Samsung.
Tecno is the ultimate garbage of all chinese phones.. please dont be ridiculous... Redmi has a far superior package than TECNO.. If I had a gun pointed to my head to choose only one chinese smartphone in the world and use for the rest of my life, I would choose REDMI. It is tolerable
Thank you. In my opinion both of them are good but A55 is better. For some customers, the main disadvantage of A55 is its heavy weight. Samsung Galaxy A series are becoming heavier and heavier each year. As far as I know, Samsung A55 is heavier than A54 and A54 is heavier than its previous ones.
I bought the redmi note 13 pro plus instead of my galaxy a54 and made a huge mistake, the a54 is so much better in many things, far more better cameras, better battery life, nicer and brighter screen, ONE UI so much easier and polished than redmie's new hyperos, a54 exynos more fluid and faster than that dimensity crap, the a54 only lacks a better and faster charger other than that its a very good phone, now im gonna sell the note 13 pro plus and keep my a54, samsung is just samsung, dont make a mistake like i did
The only reason I'm ditching the Chinese phone is because of their bloatware and generic apps that are full of ads, even pop up ads. You can't use Mi apps without agreeing to see their ads
I have redmi note 13 pro + , the only only problem i have is battery life, it's so disappointing, drains very very fast. If an update could fix it the phones one of the best.
Heyy, just to tell you, if you recently updated to the new HyperOS android skin from xiaomi, it'll take about 2 weeks of worse battery life bc it will be learning how u use your phone to know how to change the optimization for battery life, give it some time and the battery life should improve, also you can expect later bug patches and optimization patches that will really smoothen up the experience, hope this helped.
When you look all the experince and customer and OS support clear winner is Samsung. You pay more, you get more. Had a couple of Xiaomi phones and last couple of years I am using Samsung. Obvious reasons why Samsung is Samsung and way it cost more. Never again on products like Realme, Xiaomi etc.

The only better in Samsung is the flagship the S -series their mid tier is MEH... the mid tier on Xiaomi is budget friendly the front design is great but the back design is trash. S22u user here and former Xiaomi user.
There is 1 MAJOR difference between Xiaomi and the Samsung... Its the screen burns... I always had Samsung phones... I got a Xiaomi and i noticed in couple of months that every app icon burned into the screen... That never happened on the Samsung phones.
In my region the Samsung Galaxy A55 costs around 360 euro and the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G is 280. Then the normal Note 13 Pro 5G is 240 euro. And both of them have better specifications than the samsung.
I would pick up the A55 over Redmi because of cleaner and smoother software experience. The IP rating should not make much of a real life difference because both are adequately resistive to dust and water. It all comes down to the processing smoothness, processor efficiency and the battery type. Exynos is bad but it's not as bad as Mediatek. 1480 has been proven and reported to give 8hrs of sot even with heavy usage. Li-ion lasts longer than Li-po battery. The only downside there being the charging time because of their difference. Bonus: flat display instead of curved and easier and cheaper to find screen guard replacements, the option for a micro sd card and better screen quality. The only place where credit is due for the redmi is that their gallery studio editor is far better than what samsung provides. It's an essential option for people who upload contents on the go frequently. You also won't be able to place a watermark of your choice and edit it to your satisfaction with samsung's editor, you would require a 3rd party software to pan and place the watermark and set the opacity. I'm using the s23 base variant as my primary device and the redmi note 11 as my secondary and I upload a lot of content (of my daily cases) and I require to edit and make videos on the go. I have downloaded snapseed on my s23 just to place a good watermark on my images, I can add a song of my choice to a video but cannot pan and select the portion of my choice that I want to listen to, this is simply not the case with the redmi note 11. It's a mini premium editor on the go and I do not require 3rd party softwares to do these.

I had a Note 9 Pro and was super satisfied with it. I have a 12pro for 1.5y now and the google keyboard is becoming atrocious sometimes with stuff like freezing and not responding for a few secs, wherein it also freezes my phone for those seconds. Now im looking at the 13pro+ and A55 and ngl the 13 is looking like a bruh moment with the same 8mp UW. I really like samsungs 1UI, and even tho I had bad experience with Exynos, thats only fair since I had a j6+, but I see that now the 1480 is really good. Also the keyboard problem didnt get solved by factory resetting it, nor can I update it(and im not planning to reset my phone)
longer os updates definitely takes the cake for me, gotta go with the a55 for longevity and the build looks so nice, in terms of overall features the phone is slightly better as well

For example i charged my phone yesterday, used it like 2-3 hours before i went to bed, I used it to listen to rain noises for a bit while sleeping, used it for a bit after waking up, and i still have 81%. Of course it depends on how heavy you use the phone.

The guy has choked me 😂😂😂
For those obsessed by os regular updates hype I'm currently experiencing serious battery drain issue on my Samsung A54 since its last security update (July 2024): battery charged at 100% before sleeping drops to 73/75 % during my sleep.
120w fast charging vs 25w 😅
Redmi have better Performance and Hardware , better camera , better screen, better battery, and he come with 120 w charger in the box
I bought Xiaomi and it lasted longer than all my Samsung phones. Samsung does feel smoother but only in the beginning and eventually goes to shit. Xiaomi on the other hand feels ok but it's just constantly improving and getting better and it last way longer than any Samsung I have. Iphone I'm not gonna even talk about because they are just money hungry.
@@donotfuckaroundyou're tripping. Samsung overall has much better sustainability long-term, including software updates One UI (which is more reliable and easier to use). After that i had the s3 and then s4 that's when i started having problems with their batteries. My s4 battery swelled just after year, so i replaced that with the S5, even that battery dropped just after a year. In 2017 I got A9 and also bought J7 Max for my mom. Oh!! While my redmi drops to 30 to 80 percent the performance.

i have both, samsung software advantage is so minor it doesn't really affect you after the initial setup, longer updates? bruh this is a midrange phone, u gonna change it after a short while but the biggest dealbreaker for everyday use is the fingerprint sensor and face unlock on samsung budget phone, it is VERY inaccurate and slow especially if you are rushing to unlock or payments etc.
Another way of saying it is "Samsung is trying to make their flagship S series look like the cheaper A series" 😊
The clear winner here is camon 30pro5g

Is it better than both of them in all or most ramifications!?
What about the ui? I never used a techno phone but how y'all feel about their UI?

On paper the xiaomi is better in every aspect but in reality it's build quality, software and long-term support is horrible. If you want a phone that will last for more than 1.5 years, get the A55

@@mukundkarwa8556 on mine no but i did not gave space as i said
Please can you make a comparison for the OS on both phones?
Please a15 vs a24. What is better ? They are really similar
They are both kinda same but the a15 has more software and security updates.
Theyre the same price so get the a15 cuz u get one more year of software support
Please which of them has better camera?
As far as I've seen, for back camera during the day, Redmi. During night, Samsung. For selfie, samsung.
I currently have a 5 years old Redmi and was contemplating between the two models here.
Samsung users, do you get ads in your apps like Xiaomi does?
is there lots of Ads? and where in the browsers and Notification? ..Im thinking to buy one of them soon.. thinking to change to redmi just for 120 charger
Ads on samsung? Absolutely not
Well ....performance wise redmi perform alittle bit better but it gets hot way too easy, its even hotter than any phone that i ever tried....lets say with vivo v30, if you live in the north pole then choose redmi, if not... i personally suggest you to choose another budget friendly phone, not this redmi version
Do we have Redmi note pro in Nigeria, ie Lagos?
I mean this exact model in comparison?
Got mine in Lagos.
How is speakers
Here in germany the A55 today is at 315 euros and the redmi at 299 euros... That are the real prices that are realistic.
A55 is just the best.
Originality is beyond paper...
Samsung batteries swell, and the A SERIES has the worst samsung cameras
Wahala
Hi btw you look good on RN 13. So I'll go with the RN 13.
Bhahahaaha
samsung is only better in flagships,Xiaomi/Poco is better
Bro i think u r bias on redmi..its clearly show redmi image quality is more more better and crystal clear than that samsung
Please can you talk about Nokia magic max. Thank you
been using both phone brands for almost 20yrs now .heres some catch .
samsungs last software update will make your phone lags and thats proven as most samsung users want to downgrade their phone software after the last update as samsung wants you to upgrade your phone model .
xiaomi is the opposite .they'll give you the most stable update before they cut support of the phones software .
came from samsung s6,s7,s8 edge till s22, note10 upto last model note .and did face the same last unstable software update .samsung either lock your bootloader with the last software update with unstable lags and you name it .also you break the display you buy new phone on samsung .
xiaomi will give you stable last software update and never lock bootloader .buu samsung then you better prepare to sold it after 2 years .they should bame their company samshit that suit them better
Pls make video on lowlight photo and show it to us the honest result
Redmi Note 13 Note Pro + 5g is just sweet 🧁 for me
What about the hitting issue of samsung devices? Coz of exynox.
This is a new age exynos
Exynos is much better now than before.
Still the same, i already sold my a55. Been using it for 2 months, though it is not hotter than before, but the battery still the same.
If you want a better chinese phone, go for honor. Redmi sure does have better specs and all but specs isnt everything.
Since when is super amoled under amoled?
They're both oled 😂
@@victorokechukwu8629 funny Thatcher some People say otherwisd in their vids
@@moosploum6689 fact is that super amoled are same , just that Samsung like to call thiers super amoled. Just like how apple calls Thier ips screen retina.
super amoled - amoled but with a different name. It's just branding, stop falling into advertising tricks.
I'm using samsung galaxy a55. Love this phone!
Does it overheat?
@@Mosestylez no it doesn't
@spideyson666 bro what is the condition after 6 month ?? And which varient you are using ??
@arlindsilva334 it's fine, my variant is 12/256
Hello Oscar, in light of these phones, do you think the s21 ultra is better to buy or not?
If software updates aren't a priority for you, I'd get the s21 Ultra 100%
The Samsung does not have wireless and reverse wireless charging.
How do these 2 phones compare with the Honor X9b mid ranger ?
Both of these wipe the floor with that one😂
