Definitely not ever looking back after this yerba. Dave you weren't kidding man, this stuff is too incredible. I honestly hope you never stop selling this stuff!
I always tell myself I’m just going to go sleep, then I watch one of your videos and I find myself getting up and turning on the kettle. Every time man. And hole count on the bombillas is excellent.
here down south of brazil we just fill it up to the neck with herb, put something flat on top of the gourd (a plate is ok), bend it 90 degrees to slide the herb to the side of the gourd, bring it back to 45 degrees, pat the herb (with your fingers even, down to the bottom of the gourd so there is a somewhat stable mound), and fill it with hot (but not boiling) water. When the water is up to the top of the gourd (before it spill over to the top of the mound), you put the gourd back up straight and it should be stable enough for the refills. I like the idea of having this tool though, it makes it much easier. I also appreciate people falling in love with the herb in other parts of the world. :)
How long is it recommended to let the mate steep before sipping? Even at the recommended heat of 68-76c (155-170f) water I find it too hot to drink until well after pouring. Any recommendations?
I want to try chimarrao, but I'm not sure if I want to invest in a cuia just yet. Can you use a regular mate gourd for it? Or even a mason jar or something like that with more volume than a standard Argentinian gourd?
With yerba, yes. With Erva, hardly ever. I prefer to dispose of the spent erva from the waterhole, then begin breaking down the fresh erva from the mountain little bu little, as required.
You ARE GOING TO GET MAD AT ME BUT IM JUST USING MY GLASS JAR MASON JAR AND GETTING MY WATER NOT BOILING BUT ALMOST AND POUR IT OVER THE TEA AND STEAP AND DRINK LIKE I HAVE BEEN DOING FOR YEARS SO I MUST HAVE THESE GREEN ONES GOD WILLING.

So glad to hear that, Matero!

You can fix the mud, by scooping the mud out, reform the mountain, and fill again. Believe me, I’ve been drinking chimas 10 years+!!!

Any chance Mindpetals will make a comback? Cheers
Wait so how do you finish this drink
You must try erva mate from Paraná (another state from the south of Brazil). This state has the original erva mate NATIVA!
Yes, I've tried it. It's delicious from that state.
@@Circleofdrink Nice!! I can suggest you some brands.
I want to try chimarrao, but I'm not sure if I want to invest in a cuia just yet. Can you use a regular mate gourd for it? Or even a mason jar or something like that with more volume than a standard Argentinian gourd?
Yes, but you may want to use a bomba (high filter count bombilla).
Just got my erva from you! VERY new to mate and have had tons of trouble using a gourd. Could you French press the erva?
Why when I drink this mate all the tea powder come with it while I drink it ? I hate the feeling of it.
Great vid man, cheers from Ukraine 🇺🇦
Cheers brother! Stay safe!
Good, I need one of those shapers. I am doing one kind of chimarrao, it's difficult to prepare and takes time.
Can I use in a French press?
Great video. Which Yerba would you suggest for someone beginning their Circle of Drink Mate journey?
Cultyvada Nativa
Circle of Drink has the Nativa25 discount expired you mentioned on your last video expired? I am unable to apply it to my order. Thx
@@NayNay-zm5ln Yes, it has expired unfortunately. We usually have new codes every week, so keep an out for the next one real soon.
Circle of Drink ok. Thank you
yerba mate lab makes the best looking chimarrao on the internet. this is a cool way to make it but yerba mate lab makes the best
Can you use the empire bombilla on this type of mate?
It would be difficult. Better to use a bomba.
Do you have to temper this Maté with cool water?
Yes, that's advisable.
What water temp do you use for this kind of mate?
Around 160ºF
Amazing
Dicen que ese mate es más concentrado, lo toman mucho en Brasil y en las Misiones
I didnt see mate shapers on website, where do we find them?
They will be there soon. Contact our support and we can send you an invoice and ship right away, as well.
After a cycle is done on one side do you “switch”? Thanks
