Im thoroughly confused as to why you're using a special straw at all 🤷. Why not prepare it like tea using some sort of tea bag that can strain out the plant media? Does that change the flavor or something?
do you know if the alpaca silver from the neck of the cup can be restored? i found an antique beautiful mate cup, and i have to know if i can restore the alpaca.
my straw is double action type and it gets really hard to use it because it gets obstructed. I used to have the spoon type and never had any problem with it. Any advise you can give me? Thx.
When I started drinking, panicked a little when all I was getting was a gritty taste in my mouth. Watched the vid. Built the mountain of mate, added my water and the rest is history
There´s a little "stem" at the bottom of my gourd, making the insertion of my bombilla kinda difficult (have to work my way around it). So it´s never really in the center but slightly off to the side... Should I remove this stem and risk injuring the gourd or just go with it? cheers
I always wondered if there is difference in nutritional value in different cuts? like when in a certain cut there are leaves and alot of twigs, does that carry as much nutrition per gram than a fine cut only leaves mate? thanks
It varies from mate to mate, soil composition, genetics, how it was processed, etc., but it's safe to say that most of the nutrition comes from the leaves, not the stems. With that said, I still prefer to have mate with stems, as it helps balance the taste and makes it easier to manage within the mate ecosystem (gourd). There are also some nutrients that are concentrated on the stems.
Nutrition from the leaves. The particular cut isn't as important as the content of the cut. A finer cut will be more concentrated by volume though. My mass the nutritional content should be the same. Although it will extract easier from powder.
Guys it's not that complicated. It's like making coffe, you can do it on a French press on a dip or really just combine water and mate, strain it and drink it. It's people like this that make things something more than they are.

you saved my life especially when my bombilla was stuck!
How do I prepare the mate with the double action bombilla that has no spoon function?

Great video! Very helpful :)
Very good instructive film. Thanks.
Just started drinking mate a couple months ago but using tea bags. Is this the recommend way to drink mate?
Danny Palma Any way is fine. As long as you're enjoying the mate.

Had the same problem, i had broken my stem off, all good now, it shouldn't damage you gourd itself, just be carefull
I heard that it can increase the risk of leaking from the gourd

Is it normal to have little bits of the mate go through the Bombila? Like little bits of the actually plant
Yes, it's normal for the first few cycles.
@@Circleofdrink first cycles? How can that be possible
@@KingofKings11312 Not sure what you mean.
Great video!
You drikn water ?
i fill the groud less than 3/4 and I can not catch up with the straw as videos Wh please answer me? thx
Just place the bombilla in the hole, add water, and sip. Should work just fine.
Matador for life now
I tried three bombillas, and all of them became oxidized after some time. Were they too cheap? Do I have to throw them away?
Probably they were cheap. Good ones should hold. Also after washing make sure they dry out before storing.
get one that is alpaca silver, aka german or nickel silver. It will last.
Boam-bee-szha
don’t make me run up on you with a double-action bombilla
haha watch out now!!
This seems like the most complicated way to get caffeine into your blood
