No, I want you to know how you light up the world with your smile when you show it off. So please, show it off more. I want you to promise me this, even when it gets hard, which I know it will and probably still is right now at this moment. You use more of your muscles when you smile, so stretch it out so wide that it hurts and remember when you grow older and see wrinkles around your mouth that you got them from smiling! I know people are trying to reach out to you to tell you that everything is going to be alright and that they’re there for you. You’re not alone, you have people in your life, and even people you didn’t see coming, who are more than willing to reach out and be there for you. I know you feel like you can’t get through this. I know it seems like your world is coming down on you and you can’t find the strength to get back up. You’re spending your days crying in your room, in the shower, while doing laundry, and you can’t eat, sleep or find the ambition to go outside and breathe in the fresh air. Do you want to know how I know this? Because this is exactly what I’ve been doing too. I’m on the verge of tears right now because I’m going through what is probably the hardest thing I’ve had to deal with in my life right now. To be honest with you, I’m barely hanging on by a thread. I could sit here and tell you in a matter of hours, days and weeks everything will get better. That you will eventually be able to look back at this moment in your life, and maybe even laugh about it. But for those who can’t look back yet, that’s alright too. I’m on your side. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to look back and laugh at what I’m going through. But I know I’ll one day look back and tell myself how proud I am for making it through when I wanted to give up. So, hang in there. You’re important to this world and have so much talent and so many ideas to give. You have a light inside you that, if it were to leave this world, there would be a slight darkness that hangs over everyone. Please. take one day at a time. Hey Mav.. Love your videos.. Cooking in that Instapot style cooker is easier than the way I use to do it. Yes, cilantro is the way to go and is used to garnish a lot of Indian dishes. You may have heard it referred to as coriander as well. That's what the Brits call it.
My 80 year old mom is on my phone plan, along with my boys (27, 17 and 15)! That tikka masala looks so good. Glad to see a pressure cooker used in your truck!
Hey Mav, I really enjoy your channel, always great content! I'm what you would call a knife nerd, I own 2 types of knives by Takeda San(this is the knife you have) plus many more from other Japanese knife makers. You probably shouldn't use your knife until you want to retire it or fix it. Just a matter of time before it completely snaps off at the tang. My best advise if you want to fix it is find a good welder and see what they can do for you. Another great option is to bring it to a Japanese Knife shop and see what they say. Depending on the city you are in I may be able recommend a good Japanese Knife shop that could possibly help you.
It's nice to be able to slow cooker while you drive, especially in snow and then have a hot meal. Idk the size pressure cooker you have but you can sometimes cook rice at the same time as your meal with the pot in pot method. But it has to be a pressure cooker. Also keep in mind that whatever you cook in a PC will ALWAYS be more liquid bc the pot has a sealed lid. No water really evaporates like it will with stove tops or traditional slow cookers. Hope that helps a bit!
Tikka Masala has been a favourite of mine since one random day a few years ago my mom saw a recipe for it and decided to try it out. Doing it right at home, and letting everything cook from the early morning to dinner time, the smells in your house are just heavenly.
We do Raptor packages on all F 150’s ! Great video! Those insta pots are kick ass! Dude!!! You’re a celebrity in Walmart lol! We can fix that knife! If you get to Northern Arizona let us know we will go over your engine free of charge to make sure it’s running strong.
I often find myself using saute to reduce, as the water from every ingredient comes out during pressure cooking, even from the meat. When I first got mine, the first thing I thought was that it would be super useful for camping (where there's power) or even when there's no access to the oven (it's broken or being replaced). Anyway this video smells delicious.
YOU friend just simply make EVERYTHING better for soooo many human beings out here!! Sorry about your knife Mav!!! Keep the great vids coming! Safe travels!

Almost all of those trees on the prairie are shelterbelts to protect crops from wind. Some of them might have "streams" but those were probably put there by a farmer too.

Awesome video Mav. I’m a chef and I really enjoy the cooking content in your videos. I’m sorry about your knife, unfortunately Japanese chef knives prioritize sharpness and a very thin blade stock. They have unmatched cutting performance but they are very delicate. I would suggest finding a hard case to protect your knife from being bent.
Love these videos. I'm impressed with that meal. I usually can taste something once and figure how to make it. But as much as I love Indian food, I've always been intimidated by the spice layering. I have made butter chicken once or twice, but that dinner looked great. Be safe!
P.S. For being an outdoors man from our neck of the woods how come I never see you cooking up some venison? Get some back strap steaks and sear them in a little soy sauce, butter, onion and your favorite steak rub. I like to make a red wine reduction sauce with what is left in the pan after the steaks are done. It's super simple. Just add a cup of red cooking wine, a tablespoon of butter and scrape all the seasoning off from around the pan and stir it all together until it thickens then drizzle it over the steak. Best venison you've ever had. I like to eat it with fried potatoes but instant potatoes are good too in a pinch.
I have tried cooking while driving. It works great. A quick version of Tikka Masala is the simmer sauce by Patak's. It was recommended by chef Jamie Oliver in one of his books.
Cilantro is mainly used in the Dishes all over the South Asian region, as celery is not as common over there as you'd think. Loved the Tikka Masala and a huge fan from Pakistan, next time to give it a shot to make Pakistani style Biryani.
Amazing job at trying this nee recipe. In order to give the curry that red, creamy, non-watery look, here are the key steps: - Brown the tomatoes before closing the lid. (Cook in butter and make it almost dry). - Add garam masala

We have like one hundred dishes in India. Send him some other ones too. Since he is so used to non vegetarian food, I wonder if he will like something like Paneer or Chhole.

One more thing- if you want to use flour without a roux, make a reverse roux instead to thicken. Get butter and mash flour in like a 1:1 ration until it's a thick paste. Then break off a bit, stir through, and add more if u want it thicker. It also will make sure you don't have flour lumps. It can sit in the fridge for a long while too if u have extra

You should give a F-150 with a Powerboost engine a look. While not a SuperDuty, I think the Powerboost would provide an upgrade over your current truck as the truck itself is a 7.2kW generator that can operate in "generator mode". It'll turn on the truck's engine every so often to charge up the hybrid batteries. Could see if Turo or someone nearby has one you could borrow for a weekend before buying one. It's powered my house several times during power outages. Two refrigerators, deep freezer, networking equipment and TV. Never broke a sweat. Unfortunately the Powerboost isn't available in Tremor trim, though.
Mav you should totally get that tremor package you totally deserve it and I feel it would give you a lot more space in your back truck for your videos and potential upgrades.
Hi Mav , related to your knife, try using a metal glue. I was fixing a knife with such a glue and if you have some skill, you can finally sand the glue in a shape where the glue is not visible. Good luck!
Lived in North Dakota for 8 years in the USAF. Every tree has a plaque that reads "Property of Minnesota"! People complain it is windy in ND. It is actually that ND SUCKS! It snowed every year I was there before Halloween and was still on the ground after Easter. But so cold you couldn't make snowballs or snow men.
I have a soup recipe for you to try out it’s a popular Mexican dish Caldo de Pollo it’s basically Chicken Soup *For this recipe it should take less time to cook with your setup but full disclaimer I never cooked in a back of a truck but I if you give it a shot I hope you enjoy* Add water to your pot with your chicken legs and be sure it’s fills up a third of the pot Let it boil and after your water starts boiling then let your chicken cook for 30 min with chicken flavoring and salt 15 min after boiling starts add half of a whole onion with your potatoes to ensure they get soft while cooking After the full 30 min then add whatever veggies you’d like I personally add zucchini baby carrots and corn and let those veggies get soft for another 10-15min If you wanna cook the rice that I mix in my Caldo de Pollo here’s the recipe you can cook it while cooking the Caldo De Pollo Brown the rice with cooking oil Once brown take your blender add water (with the same measurement you use for your rice) chicken flavoring a whole tomato onion and garlic (you can use onion & garlic powder with the water) blend it and add it to your rice and let it sit until the rice soaks up the water until it’s fluffy
@MaV. Nice job on the Tikka Massala. I make it very much the same way in my instant pot. A tip for the spiciness is Garam Massala is spicy on its own. Adding the cayenne pepper made it much more spicy. If you found it too spicy try omitting the cayenne. Also you don't need the extra yogourt, just let it simmer on high for a few minutes to thicken up and add flour at the end to get it to your liking.

Me too buddy
Cook.
Instead of using flour to thicken your concoction, try using corn starch. You won’t get any lumps that way and it will taste better as well.
I like the taste of flour better.
If using corn starch - make sure to make a slurry :)
Or Mesa
better to use heavy whipping cream instead of flour or starch!
Lots of options to thicken. Potato flakes also work well, plus you can use them to make instant mashed potatoes if you wanted

Also keep in mind that whatever you cook in a PC will ALWAYS be more liquid bc the pot has a sealed lid. No water really evaporates like it will with stove tops or traditional slow cookers. Hope that helps a bit!
Damn I remember when you unboxed the knives. Put him up give him a nice stand, he served you proudly 🫡
Tikka Masala has been a favourite of mine since one random day a few years ago my mom saw a recipe for it and decided to try it out. Doing it right at home, and letting everything cook from the early morning to dinner time, the smells in your house are just heavenly.
It’s so good bro
Great Britains national dish!
@@James-rc6qq I thought it was Dave Lister's chicken vindaloo.
@@James-rc6qq And here I thought the British loot was limited to precious stones and arts. Didn't even leave our recipes. Pathetic!
@@loveallserveall4809 Imagine speaking with such confidence despite being flat out wrong XD someoes salty kohli is a terrible cricketer
Mav, may I suggest maybe putting the slow cooker in a milk crate to increase stability while driving!
Just discovered this channel a few days ago….I’m hooked…love the vibe Mav puts out…this Is definitely a refreshing channel….
YOU friend just simply make EVERYTHING better for soooo many human beings out here!! Sorry about your knife Mav!!! Keep the great vids coming! Safe travels!
I feel like mav is just living the dream that we all want to do but don’t
Make today that day you start the path to living that dream?
Cant*
Absolutely 💯 Much love 💘 Mav
ohhh say can you seee by the dawns early light... did i say that right? I'm british
I’m living my dreams through Mav’s videos. 😔😂
4:20 will all the work and sacrifice you put into this channel, no one would judge you for getting a well deserved new truck. Go for it honestly! Would definitely boost up your content.
Being Indian my self you can go either way with the cilantro or Parsley but most Indians go the cilantro way and love the content a lot keep up the good work and have a safe trip
Later down the road when you complete other projects, a replacement of the current truck could be a cool thing to build and see in the upcoming years
Maaaaav you and Steve W. inspired me to start my own and I just uploaded my first vid today. After going through Steve’s current situation along with him I decided life is too short to overthink doing what you want and love. Let’s go do some fishing and exploring if you ever come to California again
MAV is the best an now watching a seeing him on the move getting feels an healthy emotions out an in! Now watching when he goes home an rips his new car around just stokes me the most deserving UA-camr out there! You make so many of us smile when we need it! Thanks MAV!!!! Want more crawfish, crab, an lobster videos ❤
Always love when Mav posts videos while I'm at work it helps the day go by and calms me down. Makes me truly appreciate life more with each video
I literally just bought some Naan and the same spices to make some Paneer Paratha! I come to your video and you have given me a new recipe to try!!!!
I’m from North Dakota, I’m finally happy it’s getting colder outside that means all the lagoon bugs go back to where they came from, ya know flies, nats, mosquitos & people from Minnesota
That's gotta be pretty cool to get recognized three times in a store. I know your channel is big but that must never get old.
I’m from Florida but worked a bunch in North Dakota and the thing you said about chicks was spot on. And once they found out I was from some place that wasn’t North Dakota it was like shooting fish in a barrel!
Lmao I'm houston and everytime I go up north the moment I start talking all the girls look and once they realize you're from the south they are all over you 🤣
Florida man here. Always been that way just gotta get north of that Massin Dixon line my guys lol
Oh baaaaby!
It was really wholesome of you to go visit Steve Wallis in his time of need, you're a good kid
I haven’t seen that part of the video but I was guessing that when I heard ND and saw the passport
@@billyschannel997 I don't think Mav will ever make a video specifically about that (and for good reason), but they posted a pic together on Instagram a little over a week ago.
just tried out your recipe! its brewing right now and smells delicious already! thanks for the inspo 🙂
Food for thought for next summer, a trip to the upper east coast I heard is breathtaking and immaculate. Like Newport, RI and whatnot. Thanks for the post!
You do deserve something new for the long travels. It would be great for the channel no matter what you choose to go with 🤙
Why does all your food look amazing? I swear when I cook the same recipe it never turns out that great. 😂
learn to enjoy the process, a love for learning, and most of all have fun. you will become good at everything you apply this to, things will just flow like they are meant to be.
Got an exam tommorow and this dude makes my day hopefully I pass tommorow
Hope it went well for you? 🎉
Mav & Foresty Forest need to have a cookoff
Almost all of those trees on the prairie are shelterbelts to protect crops from wind. Some of them might have "streams" but those were probably put there by a farmer too.
Mav you should look into getting the Ninja Foodi. It's an air fryer, pressure cooker and more all in one package thing. Takes up the same space as an average pressure cooker
I second this comment I have one and it works really good and takes up less space than having 2 diff units
Love the you’re living! Been chasing those dreams myself over the last year, living out of my car and then workcamping in Montana this summer! Keep on truckin and cooking delicious meals
What is work camping?
@@soundcloudrapper8874 it’s when you’ve got a trailer and you find a campground or similar place to work that has a site for you to park it with hookups. Usually it’s seasonal work in cool locations and different places have different benefits/pay rates
@K Vn you definitely have a mix of both males and females. We used coolworks to find the job, they post a ton of cool positions
I love ur ice fishing videos too, they're so relaxing and calm me, b4 u kno it I done drifted off to sleep! Idk what it is about it🤷🏽♀️
i too just got off my parents phone plan on the same day XD 26 years old and here we are.
please do more pressure cooker recipes mav! I drive a semi and bought one to make some and have been looking for some recipes!
You my friend need to watch “Foresty Forest” !!!
Hes all about traveling and cooking in a rice cooker.
Been watching your videos for awhile now Mav 👍 I’m loving them more and more 💯 keep them coming and take care of yourself out there 🙏
Love these videos. I'm impressed with that meal. I usually can taste something once and figure how to make it. But as much as I love Indian food, I've always been intimidated by the spice layering. I have made butter chicken once or twice, but that dinner looked great. Be safe!
dont be afraid
I found out recently that apparently Chicken Tikka Masala is a Scottish dish
Just thought that was a fun bit of trivia to know :)
Thank you for feeding camping with Steve .. you're a good man. May God keep steve wallis safe.
Wow thanks hit me up 🤙
We love Patak's.
Cilantro is mainly used in the Dishes all over the South Asian region, as celery is not as common over there as you'd think. Loved the Tikka Masala and a huge fan from Pakistan, next time to give it a shot to make Pakistani style Biryani.
Who else gets so excited when Mav posts a new video?
bro me always
Amazing job at trying this nee recipe.
In order to give the curry that red, creamy, non-watery look, here are the key steps:
- Brown the tomatoes before closing the lid. (Cook in butter and make it almost dry).
- Add garam masala
Cilantro is the the leaves and stems of the coriander plant, used in a lot of Asian cooking.
Good job on Tikka Masal Mav and we use coriander in India(no parsley). Good luck for your trip
Congratulations you are among the lucky selected subscribers Dm me to claim your prices 🎁🎁👆👆
Hope your going to do a video with camping Steve 🎉
Mav is ridiculously cute watching his videos makes my entire week. I’m really stressed out in law school and watching the cutest boy I’ve ever seen just like vlogging definitely is really nice for me and helps with my stress 😊
Cutest man* remember he is on his own phone plan now😂
Slidin in the dms? Lmao
Lol this comment made my day
Mav, you have a fine taste for music. Always listening closely to hear what you’re jammin to. Mid 2ks post hardcore is such a good vibe!
hey mav little tip that fridge u have for the food u should move that close to the middle window of your truck so then u dont have to get out every one and while
Wife and I watch your videos, we both laughed when you liked the Tremor lol. I have a blacked out lariot one. You should get one!!! Lol
Mav, You have no idea who I am. To you I’m just another one of the 7 billion people on this planet. You don't know me or my story but you help through everyday without even realizing. You direct me through every choice and filter every word I say. We've been through so much together yet you could name not one thing. Keep on trucking 😉
Being a punjabi, i appreciate you trying the indian cuisine. 👌🏻💯💯
Thinking to try my instapot in my camper van…would love to have my meal ready to eat when I’m done for the day!!

We use cilantro but it’s optional, you don’t need to use cilantro in some curries.. for garlic naan you can use mint leaves..
Brilliant idea for cooking on a road trip! Even the rice looked perfect. Now I'm hungry for tikka masala.
Have been your subscriber for the past 1 year or so and was thinking of sending you a mail to suggest you an indian recipe. Turns out somebody else did it. It is nice seeing you enjoy an indian dish. Would be great if you try out butter chicken or tandoori chicken as well.
We have like one hundred dishes in India. Send him some other ones too. Since he is so used to non vegetarian food, I wonder if he will like something like Paneer or Chhole.
Make sure you are wearing your seatbelt while cooking tikka masala and naan. All the best Mav and always remember to follow your nose! 🇨🇦🦫
I feel like Mav is headed to Canada but what part is the question? Love your videos Mav.

Get the new truck dude you deserve it! New camper top that raises up would be sick! Do it up
Mav. If anyone deserve that truck it’s you. DO IT BABY!
Foresty Forest has been doing the cook while driving method for years. Used to be a crock pot. Now a ninja. Works great.
Wow thanks hit me up 🤙.
my dad is very sick right now, and i’m the only one taking care of him, these are the toughest times of my life, but your videos calm me down when i’m very stressed and i need to distract myself, thank you
One more thing- if you want to use flour without a roux, make a reverse roux instead to thicken. Get butter and mash flour in like a 1:1 ration until it's a thick paste. Then break off a bit, stir through, and add more if u want it thicker. It also will make sure you don't have flour lumps. It can sit in the fridge for a long while too if u have extra
or use some heavy cream
Hey Maverick! could you make 2 of me and my wife favorite dishes ??
make roast in your pressure cooker and mashed potatoes and carrots !
or beef stroganoff with mashed potatoes or air fried baked potatoe ??
Love your videos so much MAV thank you for making mine and anyone else day who’s having a hard time, I mean I know when I’m having a Down day and I just sit back and watch your videos makes me so happy thank you !
I used to be a scout in mexico and damn mav takes me back i know how it feels sleeping cold af and when you get to sleep warm the pain to wake up and feel that cold blast in your body 😂😂 and the bomb ass camping food we used to make up
Send it on that truck mav. You honestly deserve it
You should give a F-150 with a Powerboost engine a look.
^^Hit me up 👍!
It was cool that so many people recognized you. Another great video.
Wow thanks hit me up 🤙
“This one…right here…That’s bae” 😂❤
Hi Mav , related to your knife, try using a metal glue. I was fixing a knife with such a glue and if you have some skill, you can finally sand the glue in a shape where the glue is not visible. Good luck!
Lived in North Dakota for 8 years in the USAF. Every tree has a plaque that reads "Property of Minnesota"! People complain it is windy in ND. It is actually that ND SUCKS! It snowed every year I was there before Halloween and was still on the ground after Easter. But so cold you couldn't make snowballs or snow men.
Congrats you have won a prize inbox me up!"
North Dakota was probably my favorite place I ever got to live. Absolutely beautiful there
I have a soup recipe for you to try out it’s a popular Mexican dish Caldo de Pollo it’s basically Chicken Soup
*For this recipe it should take less time to cook with your setup but full disclaimer I never cooked in a back of a truck but I if you give it a shot I hope you enjoy*
Add water to your pot with your chicken legs and be sure it’s fills up a third of the pot
Let it boil and after your water starts boiling then let your chicken cook for 30 min with chicken flavoring and salt
15 min after boiling starts add half of a whole onion with your potatoes to ensure they get soft while cooking
After the full 30 min then add whatever veggies you’d like I personally add zucchini baby carrots and corn and let those veggies get soft for another 10-15min
If you wanna cook the rice that I mix in my Caldo de Pollo here’s the recipe you can cook it while cooking the Caldo De Pollo
Brown the rice with cooking oil
Once brown take your blender add water (with the same measurement you use for your rice) chicken flavoring a whole tomato onion and garlic (you can use onion & garlic powder with the water) blend it and add it to your rice and let it sit until the rice soaks up the water until it’s fluffy
Dude, for sure get that Tremor F2fiddy! Put a camper on that and show us a road trip to Alaska or something!
@MaV. Nice job on the Tikka Massala. I make it very much the same way in my instant pot. A tip for the spiciness is Garam Massala is spicy on its own. Adding the cayenne pepper made it much more spicy. If you found it too spicy try omitting the cayenne. Also you don't need the extra yogourt, just let it simmer on high for a few minutes to thicken up and add flour at the end to get it to your liking.
man my dad has one and its the best truck he has ever bought
I had my parents on my Verizon plan a while back. lol I'm glad your parents aren't broke.
