    Thank you, Stan, these were lovely, realistic and imaginative moments on your small but ingeniously figured out Erie Lackawanna RR. It happens that I am a Baltimore native and know PA and that entire neck of the woods! You've done a great job and are a damned fine modeler... I fell in love with HO when I was very young, in fact, I was born in Balto in 1947 the year that Athearn was born, I understand! Thanks again... happy raills and good luck, brother! arthur b (Ngai)

      Thanks Ngai, and many blessings to you! I need to do another ops video very soon. I've been quite busy with much bigger train projects lately.

      Greetings, Walter, and thank you for commenting! Those empties never made it back to the mine, so I guess I'll have to post more footage. :)

      Thanks so much! This one was a bit of work to edit together. I had over 50 separate scene clips in the camera!

    That is a good idea the animation (Tam Valley train shuttle) I like that. Nice simple ops (coal) which is all you need. Great structures, buildings backdrop, scenery too. Great video and narrative. Cheers Syl

    you sure have nice running switchers ! and in the great colors of the friendly service route . My choice too, although i am running the EL in n scale. great video !

      Thank you, Henrik! My layout is small, so I decided to limit my locos to the Alco S2/S4 style and length. I have a small Plymouth, but it needs an attached car behind, as I am using battery power now for my locomotives, S-Cab. Your viaduct model is breath-taking, as is all of your scenery! Reminds me so much of my youth in lower New York State and upper PA. Hope you find the time to post more on your layout.

    Did you weather your cars? And do you use an airbrush ? True artist which shows exceptionally on camera gary j

      @StanFerris  Рік тому

      No airbrush, just some acrylic paints, and some chalk powders. Thanks so much for commenting!

    I don't normally watch op sessions, but this was nice. It was simple with nice scenic views. Great job....... Question, how long is your layout?

    • @StanFerris
      @StanFerris  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you, Larry! Really love your scratch-built models and how you explain everything in your videos. My shelf layout is approximately 34 feet or so from one end to the other. It is J shaped going along one long wall, across the front of some bookshelves (that is a bit unconventional and needed some spousal approval), and then over a small piano. :)

      @@StanFerris Thanks for the kind comment. I understand the need for spousal approval. It's not always easy to get. I would love to have a shelf layout that size. Stay safe - Larry.

    Just found your channel. What is your layouts length.

    • @StanFerris
      @StanFerris  2 роки тому

      It's roughly 35 feet from one end to the other, wrapped around the walls of a room. Glad you could stop by, Charles. Thank you!

    Tsk, tsk, Stan...don't you know you should be using RENEWABLE energy? Those trains should be carrying unsightly wind turbines to some unsuspecting community. (Great editing and SFX on this one!)

      Hey, Larry! 😄 Not sure I'd want to have to model all the tiny dead birds clunked by the turbine blades though.
