If you look close they are back buttered , maybe not much. Or the 'mortar' ( don't know English word for it ) tile glue ? Was little bit too dry or not enough spots . I use it sometimes for flooring or also shower etc with granite or marble slabs , so most definitely got to backbutter it otherwise the spots can come through when the slabs get wet and dry up . But never do they come off this easily. That said I've seen it like in this video too
