Beat it like it owes you money! 😂😂😂 That's hysterical!!!
Thank you so much April!!! Your family is incredibly lucky to have you!!! All of us out here appreciate your teachings!!!
Thanks for everything girl. I appreciate the education over the years. God bless you and yours
This is something I am definitely going to make. My hands are a mess. I also have a friend that could benefit from this cream. Thank you April, you are a wonderful blessing for thousands of people.😇😇😇
So awesome. Thank you. I have started making creams for me and my daughter and friend..i will never buy creams or moisturizers again. Your teachings have helped me walk away from chemicals and all kinds of funky stuff. Your awesome 😎.
Thank you! I look forward to seeing the tallow making video.
I love your teachings❤
Oh thank you for this! I’ve wanted to use my tallow to make a nice cream and I love how you used such simple ingredients and techniques!
Thank you!
Thank You April. I very much needed this recipe. I ware white cotton gloves at night to hold creams on my hands. This cream will be so much better than store bought junk.
This is exciting ! Thank you, April 💚
Great teaching!
❤❤❤ your book about essential oils.
I got two. Gifting one. Need more to gift!
Thank you, April!
Am making it right now, Thank You April❤
I make a very similar whipped balm, cream, whatever you want to call it, and I put it on mine and my son's face and hands before he goes out to play in the snow too! Its great to keep the cold from bothering us too soon. I also use a lavender and lemon balm infused oil for a bedtime balm, and put it on at night time 🥰
Thank you so much.
You are so appreciated ! Thank you.
Good morning, April.
Ty for this, perfect timing❤
Great, and I was getting ready to make this a couple of days ago but was feeling tired and lazy lately, and I have my ingredients ready. Thanks.
Wow…17 degrees…I’m in NC--it’s like 78 degrees! Love your work!
Thank you, I feel like I can make this body cream, even as a novice!
Looks like icing . Now I'm going to have to make a cake 😂 thanks April for the hand cream video. Caster oil is amazing but even better mixed with other herbs . Yes I'm agreeing with your husband 😂
My mother in law is about out of hand lotion, it's been snowing out AND it's gotten soo expensive! So this is a win-win.. Thank you April💗
I just made this tonight but mine didn’t whip up as good as yours did. It could be my stand mixer maybe. Either way, once it soaks in, it’s amazing! Thank you so much!
Now I know why my tallow cream is not soaking in like I expected! I put way too much castor oil in. Guess I'll keep it for night time use. Thanks for the information!
Oooh that is handy to know. I've been sowing seeds and I eventually ditch the gloves and just get dirty hands. The compost seems to suck any moisture from my hands and hello sandpaper! The only thing I don't have to hand is tallow. I will sort that out! Thank you xx
Informative as always. 😊
❤❤ thank you!
Love your teaching!
Can't wait to make this! So simple! Thank you, April! :)
Thank you April, much appreciated 👏 ❤
"Now l am going to beat it like it owes me money"
😅😅😂🤣
There's a lot of conversations surrounding adding honey to tallow & whether it needs a preservative. There's the skin care specialists saying you absolutely need one, purely because it contains water, and the bee keepers saying you don't as it is a natural preservative - self preserving, and a preservative for other products.
I have been researching and can't find anything specific that says honey in a product will need the preservative. A lot about how testing is being done on using it in food as a preservative - but not much else. I'm curious as to whether the water is 'free' or active in the honey once it is combined with tallow, or an oil, as that would determine whether mold/bacteria can grow. Again there is the group that says yes as water is water regardless, and those that say no, it's locked up and doesn't get released when combined. Hard to get a straight answer. I made a lip balm that worked perfectly with no emulsifier or preservative - but have stopped as I can't get clarification on this issue. Your thoughts on this are appreciated. I've probably opened a can of worms here lol.
Thanks April. Just what I need Just great
APRIL! Hey there. Great to see you. 👋
Hey April ty for all the things I didn't know I wanted to learn your the best
Hi April 😊 thanks for another great Video !!
Question !!! can I store this in a plastic jar ??
Following
Why would you want to put it in toxic plastic?
Asking for a friend 😅
Hi! Do you have a video of how to make tallow (your way)?
Not yet, I need to make one though!
@@sheisofthewoods ok. Looking forward to it! (No pressure 😉).
Yes I would also love to learn how to make tallow. It's the only ingredient I don't have. Thank you for sharing you're knowledge. Have a peaceful day ❤
@sheisofthewoods Yes, please do! I have some in my fridge that has been rendered twice, but still smells a bit gamey for my taste. Would love to finally make this hand cream when it is properly rendered. Pls help me! 🙏🏾💚
Yes please!❤
I am literally going to get the ingredients today. I have needed a cream for my hands so desperately that my Arthritis Doctor has been telling me, "Girl your hands are sand paper"...(like you say, kitchen hands, " I'm a bakery manager, hand washing continually) Anyway, omg many thanks ❣️
Thank you from the botom of my heart ❤️
Sooooo fabulous
Thank you
Where to git tallow?
Thank you
Writing down recipe ✍🏿…2tbsp devil’s oil…got it 😬😈
Thank you mi’lady!
🤣🤣
I see a lot of people add honey or magnesium "oil", would love to hear your thoughts on those
If you add those you'll need a preservative and an emulsifying wax because water will grow bacteria and water won't naturally mix with oil.
Thank you so much, April ❤️🥰 Do you prefer tallow over shea butter? I have sheabutter but wondering if my dry hands would benefit more from tallow ☺️
Yep tallow will always be my top pick for skin health 😊
Can coco butter or shea butter be used instead of tallow? I don’t have access to tallow
She said you could use shea butter. Not sure about cocoa butter
I have got creative! I make products and sell to support my TNR efforts in my community! Trap/Neuter/Spay?Release program! I am going to create BB cream out of my Black Cat Apothecary! Bed & Butt Creame and also Goat Coat for Goat Boobies for my friends with goats! I just got to meet some goats and now I love them! Thanks so much April!
Love this! What if I don’t have tallow?
Shea butter or mango butter
Hello April, glad to see you are doing much better. If I wanted that recipe to be less greasy, should I use less castor oil??
Yeah you'd have to cut back on the castor oil and the tallow.
Can you use it on your face ? Opps, you answered my question. I just love you. I’ve learned so much from you and helped me and my family.
I no longer take prescriptions because of you.
I have Restless Leg Syndrome. I now take Valerian Root extract and Reishi Mushroom extract to get a good nights sleep.
Going to beat it like it owes me money lol
@@holistichargroves just heard her say it when I saw your comment!😎
Ha 😅 sleeping.. I ❤ this ❗
April, what is your view on tallow being comedogenic in balms and face creams, etc?
Not true at all! Tallow is fat from a red meat animal and we are red meat animals who consistently and obsessively wash the fats off of our face which actually causes and allows bacteria to get into our pores which is what causes blackheads. Because we are also red meat animals our body recognizes the tallow basically as our own fat that we are washing off.
@ that’s what I always thought yet they whole beauty/ chemistry industry says it is comedogenic. Thanks, April:)
April, thank you so much for this video. I just made bone broth and had several jars of tallow that we saved from the process. Would you recommend any tallow? I have p1g f@t on the shelf as well. We don’t eat a lot but i figured i could make something from it. You mentioned essential oils . How many drops would you recommend to ensure not throwing off the proportions of the final product. I take my showers at night. I don’t want to smell like beef or p1g when i head to work. Thank you again for your content and education.
I use chocolate slow cooker for all my melting - safe, easy and the right temperature
How long does tallow last?
She said maybe 2 yrs before the cream goes rancid
I could really use this right but don't have the same ingredients or a mixer. I really like your shirt, where did you get it ? TY so much for all you do for us ✌️
I need to make some. Are there any substitutes for castor oil? I don't have any.
I have everything but the tallow. Just told my husband to call our butcher shop to see if they sell it
The Tallow, was it processed by you first?
Hi April, I don’t have a stand mixer or hand mixer but I do have a stick blender , is that too powerful and not the right action? Or I have a hand whisk but as you said, that would take forever.
I’d love your opinion and would like to make this exactly as you have done. Also plan to give some to my daughter too 😊
Castor oil is so good for your eyes and eye lashes.
❤🙏
Yes I have all ingredients on hand
Is this made with a wet or dry render and does it really matter what?
Always dry, tallow made with water is rancid or will be soon enough.
Are you able to grow comfrey in your area?
This sounds amazing & exactly what I need unfortunately I have alpha Gal syndrome so no mammal meat or fat 😫
You could try something like emu oil!
???Could you add essential oils while whipping it at the end???
Real tricky to do this with a microwave.
Can someone recommend a great book on making lotions, creams, & body products? Thanks 🙏🏼
Good morning 😊
I am using 100percent lanolin...smells a bit sheepie
Haha yeah, you can add it to this cream recipe vs the tallow!
Could you use this on rooster combs?
Yep!
@@sheisofthewoods Yay! Thanks!
Where to buy beeswax & tallow?
Hey, can you tell me what’s in the castor oil? ( is it campfer ? sorry but English is not my mother language and i did,t understand)? Thank you
Comfrey
PS I made a half gallon of fresh comfrey in 100% proof vodka.
Brain freeze decision.
How can I use it?
Its my homegrown super potent comfrey. I'm sooo sad.💔
Topically, could add to water based creams, good for healing wounds.
Hi April 🎉
April may l ask why or how it is that you don't have age spots on the back of your hands.?
Not trying to be rude...
Maybe you are only 30 years old?❤
Thank you April! 🫶
I’ve heard about whipping tallow before, but I wasn’t sure if adding oxygin would impact shelflife. Seems it doesn’t, yay! 👍
