This is true ASMR in my opinion. After ASMR became huge on UA-cam, it got kinda... weird. I think some people misunderstood it. Whenever I try to explain what ASMR actually is compared to some odd video they saw, I bring up Bob Ross as an example.

Zeitgeist is an absolute master, and I like ASMR Bakery a lot too. Have you seen anything by Power of Sound? His camera touching is amazing, and also I have recently been really enjoying ASMRplanet. Her whispery voice is very soothing.
Overall, the accidental asmr stuff like just watching someone draw, paint, etc are always the best though...they don't even have to be Bob Ross but it sure doesn't hurt. :p

Crafsman, I feel like there’s 2 kinds of ASMR: intentional (whispering, tapping, ear cleaning, eating, etc.) and unintentional (how I would categorize stuff like Bob Ross and your channel). Personally I’m not a fan of intentional ASMR, but I understand there’s a lot of people who love it. I think one of the things I love about your videos is they have an ASMR element without beating you over the head with it. It’s subtle and natural.
So there’s 2 ways to look at the question you posed: a) just post whatever you want here and people can either choose to watch it or not watch it, or b) create another channel dedicated to intentional ASMR and keep the crafting videos separately. At the end of the day it’s your channel and I think you have a very supportive and loving fanbase who will support whichever decision you choose.

I don't know why I was surprised because some people use the anonymity of the internet to act horribly. But... there's a soap making channel I watch, who experiences ASMR herself and decided to make an video herself. ASMR is in the title. She immediately gave a disclaimer that she would be speaking softly and slowly and doing various triggers, and if there were people who didn't like those things they should just stop watching until her next video. She deleted rude comments, but apparently there were many people telling her she should never do that again and attacking people that enjoy ASMR. I agree, if he enjoys doing it, he should do it. It's a popular genre, and if he puts a "this is an asmr video" disclaimer, hopefully viewers that don't like it would kindly just wait for the next video.

No need to whisper for ASMR content. I can totally understand why that would be uncomfortable and awkward. As an ASMR fan, this video was very enjoyable - no talking needed - and I'd happily watch more of them. CrafsMan... do what makes you happy. In my opinion this was a pleasant surprise because even though it’s not your regular content, it still has that CrafsMan magic all over it. My suggestion would be to make both videos, some talking and some not talking. If that makes you happy, I think it’ll make us happy as well. A second channel makes the most sense for the algorithm but make sure to remind the community on this channel to check out the new one. It’s be great if at least some of this community carried over to the new channel.

Glove sounds, light tapping, plastic crinkling, and wrapped up with whispers. This had all the hallmarks that anyone that experiences an ASMR look for but with a purpose built into the task. This is the same reason I still watch Bob Ross videos every week. YES! Keep doing ASMR videos. Include binaural whispers as that is also highly effective for a lot of people. As for a separate channel, it doesn’t matter to me as long as I can consume it. Put it where it makes you the most money. Be sure to only set up ads in the beginning. Mid-roll ads and post video ads tend to awaken and scare the crud out of those that fall asleep when highly relaxed.

you should definitely make more, but it really is your voice. I'm not sure what it is about it, but whatever it is, you've got it. Your voice, style of speaking, tone, it comes naturally for you, I've watched your channel for years now, some of the crafts, I personally would not make myself, but I have watched every video, some of them multiple times. I have learned a lot, but mostly I watch because I know it will be relaxing. I think what makes it so perfect, is that it is not forced, or created for the purpose of that, but that it is naturally soothing, while actually learning from it. I know you work so hard and put so much effort into your videos, but honestly I could listen to you ramble about nothing.

This was a great and fun video Crafsman! I agree with the sentiment that the ASMR vibes I get from the channel is more from the natural way you present yourself and the enthusiasm in your choices. So for example every time you post a video with (NO MUSIC) in it I know that's 100% ASMR for me. Even in your videos with music it still relaxes me since you use more synth and calm beats anyways. I guess I wanted to say you're doing great, keep up the good work, and thank you for being yourself.

I think these videos are great filler when you may feel overwhelmed or burdened and I 100% support that. God bless you my friend.

Those figurines are so tiny! I would have definitely lost a head or broke the little connector trying to get it to click on. Super cool!

Having watched a lot of asmr, can confirm this was very wonderful. Very relaxing.
Also fun to see Gundam stuff! I have some of these small toys as well and they’re something for how small they are

Crafman baby, you'r silky smooth voice is already asmr enough for us. I didn't appreciate this video as much as the others because I learned nothin, but it's still good asmr. If you carry it on, please don't abandon your craft projects. Remember, you make us - not the other way around :)

Personally, I think you could maybe put them on a second channel, maybe call it something snazzy, like Arts and Crafs ASMR! But your main thing is the crafs you show us on this chsnnel, unless you wanted to move in this direction, which is also fine!

love the idea of a no talk build video, especially showing off toys. That last bit with the notebooks was a bit too much, but I love everything else. I need name and the source of the toy though. I have a 9 year old who would love one in his stocking this year.

I don't think you have to go through the trouble of making asmr videos on a second channel, as all of your videos have a relaxing nature to them. You could totally just have a separate line of videos where you look at neat toys. Keep doin' what you doin' crafsman.
Also I'm truly amazed that those tiny little ball joints for the head didn't snap.

Back before I knew what ASMR was, I still experienced it. But I didn't really realize I was experiencing it. However, I would watch certain channels because I really enjoyed the feeling they gave me. If I had found this channel back then, it would've been on my list.
What I'm trying to say is, just keep doing what you've been doing, because your videos already trigger ASMR, but they also keep people entertained, and educated as well. I've used a lot of the tricks you've taught me, even though I watched the video the first time just for the AMSR and the entertainment.

Your videos are already basically ASMR. Some are moreso than others. I think the videos where you have fewer sound effects and music are more ASMR friendly. Your voice is already great even if you are not whispering. The sound quality of your videos are always amazing.
Honestly, you're the reason I got into ASMR because I wanted to find something similar to your channel for the downtime between uploads. I didn't really know what I was looking for at the time, but discovered channels like Moonlight Cottage as a result. I don't usually like the videos where it's just a guy/girl with a mic, tapping on something for ten minutes. I like the ASMR with a story, I guess. Like your channel is great to listen to even though I will probably never do a single one of these crafts.

Crafsman, you crazy good. This was much needed today. Personally I think if you did more of amsr videos like these, it would be a great option for anybody into that. I'm definitely into this, and besides that, it also is a great opportunity for you to show some neat items and toys and such, building models, making crafts little easy but asmr style, the works! Thank you for all your efforts! We're out here enjoying it.

Yes, more asmr. This was nice. I usually just listen to you talk. That's enough for me. Separate channel? I don't know. It would have advantages and disadvantages. This is already such a wonderful channel. It's interesting and relaxing.

Not a bad idea this ASMR , it does calm you down.
Coming up with new sound effects is also a very nice topic? it is infinite, even without post-processing. I think the videos are great , and I check you out regularly. It's fun, and even if I'm not interested in the same things, it's your creativity that makes it all worthwhile.
I can't remember ever stopping a Craftsman video, that should tell you something.

Crafsman! Most of the charm of your channel comes from your soothing voice! Anyone can do an asmr video, but only you have the narration. I feel we need an extra 'Alright' to make up for the lost one on this video.
