I’m pretty sure tysytube restoration is also along the same lines for just basic repairs of anything from old knives to old electronics. But he does use some loud tools at times so it’s not perfect but it’s still pretty great.
So very well done. This was quite moving for me. At a certain point - I think it was when you started playing the cassette audio - I started experiencing vivid memories of my father, who died over 20 years ago. They were good ones, too. Thank you for that gift! I'm glad you were able to troubleshoot the recorder :). Peace.
The clicking at the beginning was amazing I could listen to just that for hours on end, the echoing noise it mad , chefs kiss. Amazing video every single time!
Bro I literally saw that video yesterday for the first time and loved it. I instantly thought that I need more of that video and BOOM you post it just the next day. Coincidence?

Excellent 👍🤌. This is what I want after you fixing little cassette tape recorder few years ago. Coz nobody make fixing ASMR vid (quality and everything) like you. Greetings from Czech republic 🇨🇿. U the best! And you deserve it!
I've started to collect Walkmans as of recent and enjoyed fixing them up, mostly replacing belts or cleaning off the reader head but nothing too advanced yet.
Forget the asmr aspect of this video (which you are the best on YT), the sheer fact you can fix this vintage recorder and essentially make it brand new is fucking awesome.
WHERE TYE HELL ARE THE MICS CUZ THIS IS SOOOO GOOD fromxtge begining it felt like there were mucs INSIDE of the things , It sounds sooo good thank youu💙🤍

There is a memory in the dusty dim recesses of my head, of myself sitting on the floor. Maybe 3 years old. Bunch of screws, nuts, bolts I was fiddling with. Never knew how to describe the sensation that came over me, but I liked it. Later, I sat and watched as a repairman diagnosed a problem with the coin operation in a soda machine. Same glorious sensation. Now some sort of connection. Tinkering. Tinkering while figuring out. To me, it was not the sounds that created the sensation. It was the concentration, the centering of attention on a task. But doing this concentration in a relaxed, almost casual way. Somehow it was this mindfulness in a moment, expressed through the interaction with tools, machinery, How Things Work that was the trigger for this glorious sensation. All the rest of the world dissolved away and it was an experience of Be Here Now. Lately coming across ASMR, I’ve learned a bit more about this. For me, ASMR is not merely a collection of sounds of a particular frequency. There are many so-called practitioners who make many sounds in the proper frequency. These leave me cold. It is the thoughtful attention to a task that brings me to that place we all love. Thank you for so artfully creating an atmosphere that envelops me so warmly. Thank you for your attention to detail, your acoustic expertise, your wonderfully expressive hands. As someone else commented, “What a time to be alive.”
Thanks for your comment and I can only agree with you. I recently gave a conference about ASMR and how it can be triggered by all 5 senses and also cognitive stimuli, such as someone focusing and executing a task with expertise, etc. The conference is in French but still here’s the link if that interests you: ua-cam.com/video/jUDdTMqevjo/v-deo.html
C'est toujours un plaisir de regarder ce type de vidéo sur ta chaîne Tu combines deux de mes passions alors je peux qu'apprécier 😊 J'en voudrais plus des comme ça ! 😁
The best part about the first one was the unscrewing. Here the unscrewing is a loud and frankly jarring unpleasant ratcheting sound. Appreciate the effort though and thanks for the videos. Ive probably watched the first one a thousand times.

I used to come across your video, forget who made it, then it would pop up again like some ASMR magic. The good 'ole days. It blew me away when I learnt you were the same person! 😂
Oh man some stuff just makes one feel well imo at least.. paranoid just knowing inevitably after maybe even just one or two attempts of needing to fix things if it breaks again the opening and closing of things is bound to break the tiny wire connections that have so little of a limited amount of workable length ngl.. but yeah or if they are just so fairly fragile that if moved a little they will break. But makes for excellent asmr.
J'adore les vidéos de réparation électronique, je trouve ça fascinant à regarder et je suis contente que qqun ait décidé d'exploiter le potentiel ASMR de ce concept : lumière douce, son extra net, je pourrais regarder ça pendant des heures ^^

See this is what i want when i look for Mechanical ASMR. The small tinkings, clickings and repair vibes is so soothing.
I found a channel called Odd Tinkering that does ASMR electronic repairs. Also really good! look them up!

Check out Ephemeral Rift! Also fantastic!
Your audio quality is unmatched. I’d give anything to see more tinkering/fixing videos like this from other channels.
Omg the long awaited sequel! I looked far and wide and no one made types of these videos for the longest time. Amazing!
Yep, his original video on the recorder device was great. Cool to see another!
It's amazing that you could find an older one of these. But they do make good sounds. 💚

I watched part of this at work earlier with the volume at about 25% and it _still_ gave me tingles. Probably thanks to dat crisp af audio quality 👌👌

I literally re-watched the ASMR repair of 7years ago last week. It was 1 of the first ASMR videos I ever watched.
I love the fact That you are giving the retro Tech the love and attention it deserves!🥰 I’m obsessed with fixing vintage tech!
Love the old school devices and subtle sounds from your fine movement. Really appreciate it. Thx🥰💞
I didn’t even know it was possible!
That’s the best ASMR for me as I also fix devices all the time (mostly computers)!
I’m in love with vintage techs and I love ASMR videos of them even more! Your videos are always what I love but in ASMR

I love how you went straight to taking it apart and in the end it was as simple as cleaning oxidation and ensuring contact. XD
