Hey Jesi, ty so much for a great informative video - it's especially helpful since i'm creating my first starter (ever) and i'm using einkorn flour. I also want to give you a huge thumbs UP for homeschooling - it is very difficult to raise well adjusted, safe children with everything going on in the world today. Homeschooling is hard work when done correctly - but I want to encourage you that it is extremely well worth it. I homeschooled and loved having my children at home with me so very much. They went on to become an award winning artist, a chef, and a pastor/missionary - but most of all kind, compassionate - good people with a good head on their shoulders - very very proud and thankful for them. Keep up the great work on the home front!

awww, thank you SO much for those words! I needed that! This world is CRAZY! I just can't even with it all right now, I get so angry ... but Its how the word is right now, and we are not of the world.... Ive been spending alot of time in my bible, finding a biblical church, leading a disciple group, that I haven't had the time to devote to my channel. ... Homeschooling is by far THE HARDEST job EVER! haha oh we could talk for hours and I need all the help I can get! ..... Hey how is your starter going? Dont give up! I LOVE ours! "Birtha" (My starter's name) will be 2 yrs this October!

Baked my third loaf using dry starter and Einkorn flour. Very fast and I’m guarding my lives, and also sharing with a neighbour. It was not all easy learning the process. Hang in there and the favourable result will come🎉🎉❤ Thank you.

Thank you for this video. I started my dry einkorn sourdough starter in October 2020. I baked my first loaf of sourdough bread in March 2021. It took that long for my starter to rise within 6 hours, I kept refreshing it until then (house is cool). The bread had a wonderful taste but it was dense. I now have my starter in the fridge and will refresh once per week or every other week. I will keep trying :)

I hear you!! It took mine a long time too, I added the 1/8-1/4 tsp of yeast to my levain right when I was making dough, that helped with the denseness until now. The more you bake with it the more the natural yeasts will be in the air of your kitchen and help your starter mature. Don't give up! You're doing a great job! Thank you for watching! This video is not the best, but I appreciate you watching and commenting!!

Hi, thanks for the video! What do you do with your original old starter after you've removed some to refresh? Do you throw it out and the new one becomes your main one? Thanks.

2 week old einkorn sourdough starter here, looks like yours, how do you increase the starter? Do you always make a levain? Like when you need more starter?

What was your ratio for your larger starter?

I'm on day 9 of trying to get an einkorn starter started, but I'm using a nin-jovial brand whole grain flour. It just doesn't want to do anything, plus it's still winter, and in a cold old kitchen! I decided to try feeding at a 1:3:3 ratio to give it more liquid, and while there are bubbles, it's no where ready to use yet. Did you add more water there at one point? I think I'm have to watch again

I’m using Einkorn Flour and this is considered a “dry starter method” I do not add water, that to say I might be off by a couple grams and let it go sometimes. The cooler kitchen does play a role. Make sure your using good water, and it’s nice and warm. Keep going! Don’t give up ♥️

Hi there, I have a question, when you take 10 gr of starter to make levain, what are you doing to the rest of the starter, how much do you feed the starter that is left?

I refreshed it last night and it didn’t do anything over night
