  • Beautiful old house built in 1900, incredible fireplaces and woodwork along the stairs. Lots of pretty old doors and a cool old key still in the door. Sadly a large housing development is planned in the location of the house. Thanks for watching like and comment and subscribe if you enjoyed! Have some cool ones on the way!

The porch is the best! What’s really sad is that in the near future, people will wish they would have preserved this gem and especially the land. Like I’ve always said our farms don’t grow crops they grow houses 😢

It's out in the country, I would love to buy it but $ 25,000.oo.is something I just do not have never have had that much cash.

Here in South Africa, not many abandoned homes would stay that way for long. Too many squatters here by far. The problem is that they wouldn't be maintained either.

That house holds lots of mysteries! Wow! I believe that there was still a lost room upstairs! It was obvious the room was partitioned in the pink room and then the bathroom wasn't big enough to complete the room. There was some lost space there! Then the steps that went to a separate attic room! The antique shoes, books for 1937 and the glasses! I hate seeing those antiques get left to be destroyed and lost to history! The doorknobs were beautiful. The built-ins and pocket doors! Even the carving on the newel post matched the carving on the front parlor fireplace mantel! A beautiful home, thanks Kappy!

Thank you, Kappy! Thank you for memorializing these beautiful properties before they are gone forever. The memories in that house! I’m wondering if the stack of several long narrow boxes in the attic (underneath the glasses you picked up) might be rolls of player piano music. Just curious. The old shoes, glasses, lamp, just all of it is amazing. It would be fun if you would walk up and down the stairs while holding your camera. It’s almost like we are right there with you! Beautiful house! I loved the kitchen built-in cabinets, the old hardware, the woodwork along the stairs and the door frames. I had to laugh at the green lamp stored at the top of the narrow staircase...I thought it was a face until I realized that the "eyes" were the empty spaces created by the handles! Lol. I wonder if the pink room and the upstairs bathroom were at one time connected. It seems to me that it should have been one larger room.
I would have liked to look at that old magazine from 1929.
I wonder how the basement got flooded like that. I hope they aren't putting a new development in a flood-zone.

The lady who owned this kept a tidy house back when she was able everything was put away in a neat way. That attic..Wow what a treasure trove obviously from the metal doll house there was a little girl who lived here at one time. All those antique boots and granny glasses guessing at the beginning there was a Granma who lived here too. I'd say it was still salvageable after having all that water pumped out and refinished. Kappy, this is one of the best houses you've explored! Hands down, I love it! The safe, that stair case....
Sure hate to see these old homes go!

Omg, so many things you should take...
The kitchen sink, the clawfoot tub, definitely the light fixture hanging by the stairs, the mantles around the fireplaces, some of those doors! (The sink & tub are porcelain & they don't make them like that anymore!)

Very interesting house. A hallway upstairs!!! That's just crazy but I like it lol. Lots of interesting stuff in it too, not just the beautiful woodwork. I hope someone can salvage the good stuff from here.

Another one that had to be so cool in it’s original days- you can see how wonderful it once was , before it getting chopped & modified over the years.. I cringe almost every time I see paneling.. can’t help it. Lol, Thanks for your posts! We look forward to them all week! 😊

This is a beauty. What a shame no one would take it on. I hate to think it is set to be destroyed so they can build the new garbage. Nothing built could compare to the old craftmanship put into this house. Excellent share.

Such a beautiful old house. Good bones! I love the old white frame houses. I grew up in one and grandparents on both sides had one. They were all interesting in different ways. Thank you Kappy..

Hey Kappy ! Wow Man , I wish I could do some salvage on this treasure . All the woodwork can be repurposed for restoration of another home . Even every door , the hardware , the light fixtures , the flooring , and windows ! And the list goes on and on . It's hard tedious work and I loved it ! Still baffled by all the antiques left behind . Even the Dr Pepper bottle . And I miss being able to be a part of saving history . Thanks ,,,,,,,

Completely agreed! Besides the flooded basement this house could absolutely be saved, still lots of beautiful old character left! Thank you for watching and the kind words always Mike! :)

@@urbanexploringwithkappy1773 Hey Buddy , I had a very small crew of of patient and high quality Craftsman . We went in to homes destin to be demolished . Anything that we could salvage was removed . And I do mean anything . If it wasn't sold , we had the pleasure of reinstalling at different homes . I wish I could show you what we accomplished . I never miss your videos , and Thank You for bringing back many memories . Stay safe and be careful .

I’m Southern n I’m disgusted by the building n tearing down the homes!!! The descendants don’t care, developers either. County/city officials will be sorry when history is erased!!! Thx Kappy for the preservation!!!

I really hope they remove all of the beautiful wood & doors & chandeliers from this home before bulldozing it. This home is full of usable resources. Look at the door frames! And those staircases! That wooden highchair is beautiful too.

Old player piano rolls in the attic. They are worth a few bucks. I bought some off of EBay. This house does not look like it has been vacant that long. The rooms look pretty freshly painted. Nice old home. You find some really nice properties. Thank you for what you do.

Such a beautiful home... It's like saying goodbye to a old family member. It broke my heart to see the ground shifting the floor, the earth takes back what it was at first, trees cut down into lumber. And then the basement full of water... I would of loved to have bought this house and bring it back to life and love it.

Land developers made the owners an offer they couldn't refuse. This house is absolutely livable once the basement is drained and the interior is cleaned out.

Wish I could buy it as well! Land developers. Poo!!! Tear down a beautiful home and put up a bunch of worthless houses! Makes me mad as a hornet. They could build around it or something. There's not a price I couldn't refuse to have a home like this!
As the old song goes... They paved paradise and put up a parking lot. I'm telling my age now LOL. Bless everyone!
