James! Your life is your content . Not many live in a campervan. Not everyone is in the position to move from A to B every day; and in every kind of weather. Not everyone has a Heather in their lives, either.
Ideas for future content:
film cooking/ you learning to cook.
Walks. Scenery is half your content. And do short walks like you did when you walked to Sandal Castle. The facts and figures of such places ARE your script. Or walks with an attachment to some celebrity, tv series or film. ( Yorkshire is brimming with examples of these ).
Aspects of van life: simply film yourself whenever there is a problem with the van. Show us ' how to...' fix it. Take us on tours of villages - most YT channels brush past them.
Give tutorials . A beginners guide to becoming/ being a UA-camr. Lots, and lots, of people want to start a channel. But from getting a channel accepted onto YT, to editing, the ins-and-outs of cameras and drones, etc, most people have no idea how to take the first step. YOU DO. And you know about editing , etc.
Et vous. Just talk into the camera. You have lived; you have a life; you have experience and wisdom to part. ( You are a very capable commentator ).
And last, but not least, food. Critique basic British food. Be it via cafes, pubs or restaurants. Food that is affordable; places that aren't intimidating. Meanwhile...stop being so hard on yourself. You make fabulous videos. And do so week in; week out.

Dont make yourself ill overthinking about the next content all the time james,if my wife & i had to wait a month for each vlog from you & Helen it would always be worth the wait,ive suffered from anxiety for a long time & now im a lot better after some help,you always think later on "what the hell was i worrying for ",because it either never happens or works out to be an ok day😂,take care both of you👍🏻👍🏻

My wife and I are really enjoying your videos. I live in Canada but was born and bred in Sheffield. There’s lots of content opportunities within easy reach of Barnsley…Yorkshire’s east coast is beautiful. Maybe consider covering a small region, like SE Yorkshire, highlighting the ‘must see’ places and then cover an adjacent region, slowly working your way around the country, building a video reference for potential tourists. In a couple of years you’ll have built a tremendous resource for fellow travelers.
Anyway, keep up the good work, (I love the fish & chips reviews) and all the best to you and the lovely Helene.

I bought the dji pocket two years ago James,and because it wouldn't connect to my phone and the vital app wouldn't work , the camera eventually packed in on the first day. I took it back to curry's for a full refund of over £400 and they chucked everything in the bin. Apparently you need high end phones to get these types of cameras to work otherwise they self-destruct.
That's not very good. I bought a fancy 360 camera a few months ago and ended up sending it back!
@bythecurb we're living in a mad age, everything is absolutely crap and unfit for purpose.
Love your content mate, we got in to watching UA-cam 2 years ago when we bought I 1st MH and got to be honest you are now are in our Top 5 👍 as is St Christopher of Atlantis , very funny pair 😂. Watch more UA-cam than tv now, keep them coming 👍🥰.

I've just found your channel James. I'm just starting my own channel and your words of wisdom here are really helpful mate. I've subscribed straight away because i can tell your a decent down to earth bloke who's making it happen.
I think just being yourself is the always the best option - people can smell the truth a mile away and can detect BS pretty quickly. The BS might win some clickbait now and again, but folk get tired of the fake drama and acting nonsense in my opinion.

Hey, completely off topic...I'm not on any social media hence this message. Just seen an ad for Tia Maria and remembered I tried Guinness with a double Tia Maria in it once, absolutely beautiful...if Helen likes Guiness get her to try it...merry Xmas to you both 😊
The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is certainly next level for image quality in a small device, but the mk2 is worth a look if the mk3 is too expensive. Get the creator combo versions because wireless microphones work really well. Never got into GoPro cameras, I found the super wide angle was a bit too catch-all & difficult to make creative videos with if used alone.

It was interesting to hear about the other UA-cam channels you watch. Here's a couple of similar channels that I enjoy. 'Campulance Man' - A American chap who got laid off, and instead of getting back into rat race sold his house, bought an old ambulance and converted it into a campervan. He's been living in it, and roaming the USA for several years now. A recent channel I stumbled accross and really enjoy is 'Norwegian Xplorer' with his Winter vanlife vidoes in the incredible scenery in Norway. If you haven't seen these they are worth checking out.

Brill video I've recently started utube my first few vids were crap but think they getting a bit better now still not perfect at editing but il get they eventually I get a few subs tricking in but I enjoy making them and like u say its a great place to store your vids and hopefully my grand kids can look back at them when I'm no longer here great advise keep the vids coming and I'd love to live in a van full time but my partner is having none of it
