I had a viral video with 16 million views that BLEW up my channel. I couldn’t sustain the growth it was so tough learning everything that comes with UA-cam. I’ve finally got my breakthrough about a month ago!! Got 3 brand deals. So FUCKING rewarding.

Great tips love. I wish I had this video back when I was starting. I was so mad because I had great content but wasn't getting any attention. 1k was mission impossible. I was lucky when I found out I can boost my channel with initial subs just enough to start getting noticed. I got myself first couple of hundred subs for very low price (personally used Fame - ster). After that my main channel gain a ton of organic traffic.
I love the personality. I love how she casually said she was talking to her therapist. I love it.
Energy is everything, when I have tried to hop on a trend it has not worked for me but rather than cry I take it as a lesson and move on. Thanks for sharing

Bria!! I cannot tell you how much your video last year helped me. No one talks about the mental BATTLE that content creation holds and I felt so alone before watching these videos. The generic advice might be TRUE, but it's not what I needed to hear to keep going - thank you for showing up as you & creating a space so many of us need.

Thank you Bria - all so true! Mindset is the biggest factor in sticking with it during the times when no one sees you! At 45 videos in I still feel like I’m throwing spaghetti at the wall, not enough data yet to dig deep in my analytics cause views have been low - lowest is 18- (but I do have 2 that just went over 500 views).
- I’d say the best part of not going viral is having time to get better at making videos and time to find my voice in this huge UA-cam world!

What’s working for me is definitely making my content quality better and showing up more authentically as my self as a whole. That’s literally me showing my AuDhd traits more freely and not judging myself or trying to cut those parts out in my video 😅

This was so helpful! Thank you for sharing these! Loved how these tips were more about creative blocks / the mental block to become a serious UA-camr than the practical "be consistent" (although that is extremely difficult too).

I think I first came across one of your videos a couple of years ago but never really paid attention ( Now I know it's because I wasn't ready) . Fast forward to now, 9 months knee deep into producing a consistent audio podcast on Spotifyand Apple. I am ready to fully plunge into the UA-cam world as well and the first account I thought to look up for tips was you! Its interesting because I have taken a look at some of your recent videos and we seem to have a similar theme ( focus on personal development, mindset and growth). My boyfriend is literally the only one who keeps pushing me whenever i feel like dropping UA-cam, coz I struggle with views, growth, etc. And it feels so pointless at times but he always encourages me to keep going. He’s more invested in this journey than I am and it’s such a beautiful thing❤

Great advice! Yes, always check your analytics. You can find your most popular videos and make more of those with similar content. I should have figured that out years ago. For instance, Spanish videos for kids do very well on my channel. So, I'm going to concentrate on those in 2024 primarily. I believe this will help my channel grow way more.

This was such good advice! I have only recently started taking youtube seriously. My main focus right now is improving my video quality and making my videos less boring! Also trying to balance youtube with work and my other social platforms! Actually come to the realisation I need to focus on less! I'm not focusing on shorts at the moment as I'm trying to get comfortable with talking on camera, unscripted and sharing my ideas in a concise way.
Same! Fining youtube work balance is so hard. I just started making shorts too and it’s definitely worth a try. I just took a funny clip from my video and turned it into a short. Anyways good luck! I just subscribed

I get inspired when I watch videos like this, but you truly inspired me today to keep going into not stop. I understand that it takes time and I don’t want overnight success I want to build a community that actually cares about me and what I post even though most of the things that I post are more trendy I still want to be able to provide value to my community

17:44 real asf. it almost feels like since i spent so much time editing one video that i need to wait and see if it'll preform well and thinking it feels weird to jump to the next one so quick bc i just spent hooooursss on end editing this one but i've learned it messes with my consistency and my confidence to hold on to the past vids i've posted. a lot of the times too, the videos that performed the highest for me really jumped in the next month or sometimes 2 months later so im learning to let go of it and move on once its been posted🤞🏽

congrats!!! I am currently at that grinding era on my YT journey. I garner about 60 to 150 views per video. It is def a bit challenging to have such visibly low views but I make videos as if they are my time capsules for me and my parents who live so far away!
