I just wanted to express my heartfelt thanks to you for all the strength, time, effort & funds that you expend to create these awesome videos. The first 35+ yrs of my life I spent as a man of the woods, mtns & wilderness, climbing, hiking & backpacking every opportunity I had until life changed after a motorcycle accident in 2006. I am no longer able to walk & can’t roam around the woods as I once did, enjoying the lovely beauty of the alpine meadows & crystal clear water of the mtn lakes/streams. So I’m living these cherished moments now through your eyes& if not for you, those moments would only live in memory. Your films are giving my eyes/mind new life & adventures to enjoy. Thx for taking me along!!

Often they drop me of on some plateau and would be picked up on the other side in a week or so. Best times. Best part always is the nature of course and the utter quietness and no ppl.
Amazing the lack of trees and how everything is smooth and rounded off and not jagged or rough. Such a contrast to the Sierra Nevada videos you made. It feels ancient and timeless. Thanks again for sharing your videos.
Stunning vistas here, Jarl. Loved the water falls. Looked like you got some nice campsites. Glad you were able take take advantage of some good weather. Thanks for sharing.
The unique quality of these videos is that he captures with the film the actual experience of hiking- sounds of water, quiet, views. He narrates but just the right amount. Love waterfalls.

You should start out one of your videos with "If there's a place in Norway, where the odds of getting pulled out of your tent at night and eaten by a troll, are slightly higher than everywhere else in Norway..." (twist on Joey C's epic Thorofare warning) That was an awesome video as well !!
Hahaha, thats a very cool idea, thank yoi😂

Is this area absent of wildlife?
There are reindeer and foxes up high, maybe other deer and moose but they might stay in lower more wooded areas.
Your childhood playground offers some amazing views. Parents outdoors people?
Yes, I spent a lot of time in the outdoors
@@NorwegianXplorer Beautiful reflections. The old Finn homestead looked like a place that was wonderful in the summer but a test in the winter.
@@samhill3496 it was probably not used in winter
If a beginner wants to start hiking in Norway, what route would you recommend?
Around Oslo in Nordmarka possibly

No problem carrying food for a week, right now I carry food for 10 days

Awesome, thank you so much!
Another beautiful video. But, I need to stop watching these videos because each time I see a new area, I know I need to visit myself the next time I'm back in Norway. My next trip keeps getting longer and longer. Just kidding. Great video. (glad you found some rain-free weather for a few days)
Thank you Collen! It was a few beautiful days for sure!

Have you ever considered astrophotography on your trips? From your locations I think you'd get some amazing night skies.
Yes I have, but my setup doesnt capture the night skies very well
What is the buiding on Hilleknuten?
Its an old radio tower of some sort, not sure its in use any longer
Hey qq can backpackers go there and hike without any tour guide ? Is that a national park or something ?
Yes of course, you can go anywhere without a guide in Norway, it is not a national park
I think carrying a sword would be acceptable when portraying a Norwegian explorer! Spectacular videos. Thank you!
Mark, that is very true! Thank you very much!
You should invite my own frontier to hike in Norway. I bet you sleep better there than yellow mountain or Colorado. Thank you.
We have been planning on it whenever travel is easy again👍

@@NorwegianXplorer huh? i only have one penny a souvenir from that lady. lol
@@ramonacrandall9492 It could be worth something in the future, I think Norway will go a 100% electronic with payments and get rid of cash entirely in the near future.

@@NorwegianXplorer good to know :)
It's not easy to hike with your arm extended while hiking and watching for pot holes and boulders. 😉
Haha, I dont do that too much:-)
i love blueberries
Haha, me too!
😍👍🏻🚶🏼

Hey. I would really really watch your videos. They are soooooo good. Beautiful and professional. But in this Video there are 21 commercials breaks. It destroys everything. I know why youtuber have these commercial. I had years ago also a channel. Beauty with commercial. But I think for nature and the Beauty of it and the Peace .... I can not watch. I hope you understand. Imagine you are hiking and see all this and every 3 minutes someone is making noice or playing loud music. And somehow it destroys the work you put in.
I do watch those videos in the evening as my Film on the Couch. You could load up the videos a second time one week later 😂😂 without any interruption. Good job and Norway is sooooo beautiful. 🇩🇪☀️
Thank you, how about getting a youtube premium subscription then?
oh you were born in norway jarl?
I guess thats a pretty good assumption😂😂😂
@@NorwegianXplorer hahahaha its all good jarl. lol
