She's gifted. People playing this fast can do it for a few seconds but she never stops. This is over 6 minutes long and she does not miss a single note. Many have commented that its impossible simply because the picking hand would cramp up. But she bangs those strings while chewing gum and not even bothering to look most at the guitar most of the time. Even REMEMBERING all these notes is phenomenal in its own right. So not only is she playing at an incredible rate she remembers them. People are NEVER satisfied! She sounds great in her new band too and yeah her appearance has drastically changed. But its STILL our Tina, people do not forget that NOBODY plays at her level so remember that when you watch her. I think that as she matures she'll eventually go the Steve Vai, Gary Moore route but remember that she's currently a humble girl which prefers NOT standing out in the crowd. She's also super smart which is gonna make for choosing friends very carefully. Give her some time...
She took her gift and talent seriously and simply worked at it. So keep your dreams alive, focus and get it done. You may not end up nearly as close to this because whatever your limits are, just accept and get it on with. Tina Setkic, French, born 7 April 1999. My personal number one guitarist. Thanks for choosing this cover. The last of her, recorded in 2016. Between 2012 and 2016, sixteen Tina S covers were recorded, all of them true masterpieces. Enjoy this lineup: 1. "Arpeggios from hell" - Ingwie, Malmsteen; 2. "The Loner" - Gary Moore; 3. "Through the Fire and Flames" - DragonForce with Herman Li; 4. "Altitudes" - Jason Becker; 5. "For the Love of God" - Steve Vai A nice reaction. Thanks.
Your expression says it all. I had a girlfriend who made it big as a concert pianist who told me this was the most difficult piece to master. And then a 17 year old absolutely kills it. Possibly the finest piece of musicianship I have ever seen.
@@timbrom Honestly, reactions like that are why I watch reaction videos. Like having a concert pianist watch this, or a guitarist - so much to learn, and sometimes their reactions to her brilliance is utter shock. It was the pianist who told us that this was flawless, and that she didn’t miss a note…and there are over 2400 of them.
Dude, there were mistakes. The thing is, humans aren't perfect, and that's ok! She's an absolute phenom! But she's not perfect, and no human in history has ever actually been TRULY PERFECT IN ANYTHING!
Ahem...I am an old, old hippie and this is my first time hearing this young lady play. Within 30 seconds I closed my eyes and as I listened the stage lights in my mind rose from the darkness and there stood Jimi Hendrix playing and slaying his guitar at Woodstock, 1969. Before you ask, no, it was not a flashback...well, maybe... :) Be well, Duke
Yeah, his initial reaction of being ashamed that it actually made him a little angry... pretty much all of us. And it wasn't her insane skills... it was the fact that she managed to look bored through most of it.
I watch Tina S because she's simply fantastic. I sent you this one cause I know you enjoy a good guitarist, and I wanted to see your reaction. I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Tina's new group is Spin Twice, and only a few videos are posted since they haven't been around but a short time. I hope you show this to your wife, I think she will enjoy it.
Tina S broke the internet in her teenage time: elected best guitarist prodigy on YT several years in a row, praised by the greatests such as Steve Vai, Jason Becker, Herman Li, …. All her covers from that period are insane: I especially love Altitudes, For the Love of God, The Loner, Through the Fire and Flames, … Then after posting this video she disappeared for 7 years and only resurfaced last year. She is now in a band called Spin Twice, and composes the music of the band. Just a side note: her guitar teacher, Renaud Louis-Servais, is the man who recorded this and is very famous as a teacher ww. He did train for instance Dany Villareal from The Warning.
I had an opportunity to converse with Renaud last year, and of the topic of Tina came up. He said after that last video, he had zero contact with her after that video. It was like she disappeared.
@@sonador777 I always assumed she went to college, or music school, or something, and was too busy to record for UA-cam for a while. Happens to a lot of people around that age.

I loved your initial look as if to say, are you f**king kidding me? I'm sure I had the same look when I first saw this. I could have started playing guitar when I was born, and wouldn't be able to play this good almost 70 years later. Tina is very gifted, and I almost don't feel worthy to watch her play. Excellent reaction.
I've probably got at least 100 of those 47 million views. I continue to be amazed every time I see it as this was one take. No cuts or edits. Her little smirk when she finished says it all..."nailed it!" Just want to see your expression as you watch.
Her “trick” on tapping with those “extra fingers” is that she tucks her pick away and frees up her digits enough tap until she transfers back. Another note: How clean and perfect are her pinch harmonics? Her hand strength is unreal. And this is a 6 minute song.
Such an excellent ( yet predictable! ) first time and genuine reaction to Tina S! I feel such a sense of pride and accomplishment when I watch her genius playing - I thoroughly enjoy watching new reactions to her and inevitably, the jaws drop, eyes widen, and speech is forgotten!😂 Next is: Through the Fire & Flames. All I can say is….wow. Just absolute unfreakin’ believably, wow.
Yes, I've seen this video quite a few times and I always get a charge out of first-timers' reaction to it - usually their jaws drop, hit the floor, rebound, and drop again - sort of like yours did. 😁 Not long ago, I watched another guitarist react to this and, after watching Tina S, he said he was seriously thinking about selling his guitars and finding something else to do. I mentioned in my comment to him: "Before you do, consider this: not everyone can be an Einstein or Da Vinci (or Tina S), but there's still plenty of room for physicists and artists (and guitar players). As the late great Vince Lombardi (head coach of the Green Bay Packers many, many moons ago) once said: “Gentlemen, we will chase perfection, and we will chase it relentlessly, knowing all the while we can never attain it. But along the way, we shall catch excellence.” Don't let Tina S's excellence deter you from chasing perfection. On a scale of one to ten, Tina S. is easily an eleven or twelve, but it didn't just fall out of the sky and land on her; between a certain amount of born talent and relentlessly practicing, that's what makes her one of the best guitar players I've ever seen. The story I gathered is that she practiced this piece for two solid months, and it shows - she rarely looks at her fingers or the fret board because she has acquired the muscle memory through so much practicing - she KNOWS where her fingers need to be.
The reason I watch, even though I know the song or video or even if I don't, is that I genuinely enjoy your reactions to the music that has been the soundtrack to my life and times 🤘 As the father of daughters, I totally understand. They grew up hearing me play guitar almost every day when they were growing up. What I will say to you is to go for the "feel", the Blues is where to start. Speed, shredding and flash are all well and good, but as my father used to say "music without feeling is noise". I'm just an auld Scotsman frae Ayrshire 🏴 so it's just my tuppence worth. I think my favorite is Dragon force's cover. She cranks out over a 2 minute riff there which has very defined repeated, incredibly fast note playing there where she doesn't miss a single note. I think that play gets to everyone that hears it. When I heard that I was thinking that they're ain't NOBODY on this rock that could do that, not even Herman Li.
I've been watching Tina S for years and lowering my self esteem as a guitar player. She's incredible! If you want feeling (which I think she has here) check out her cover of The Loner!
And she doesn’t even break a sweat. There is another reaction video out there from a couple classical musicians that know this piece well and said she never missed a note.
Never gets old. The hate is drawn from those that in their lifetime will and can never get close to this level. She's 17 here I believe. She has a band called Spin Twice.
Yes, I've seen this video before - several times in fact - but I wanted to watch this again to see the look on your face at 2:46. I was not disappointed. I had the same look, and immediately wanted to sell all of my guitars and join a monastery.
Her teacher Renaud LOUIS-SERVAIS on UA-cam : Renaud LS 16/3/2022 "Thank you for reacting to this video of my little protected Tina. I had the chance to teach her the electric guitar from the age of 13 to 18, and I also filmed and produced all these videos at that time in my studio. I must say that she never disappointed me, what a prodigy she was... a small precision concerning this version, it is an arrangement made by the incredible Italian guitarist, Michele "Dr Viossy" Vioni, who was kind enough to let us use his version." "I made her work on a lot of pieces, but only a part was the subject of videos. On the other hand, everything that has been filmed is online (14)."
Here are another two from the early days of UA-cam that are definitely worth watching for their technical brilliance - Canon Rock and Summer from Vivaldi's Four Seasons by Funtwo. Also MattRach - Canon Rock Final done when he was 15 years old - stunning.
When I first watched a Tina S video a couple of years ago I felt the same man! I always said I am a moderate guitar player, but after seeing her, I hang my guitar on the wall, like you did there, but mine never comes of again. 😏
The only time I ever wished I had small hands was when I would play the guitar as fire up the neck as she is. That would have simplified things a whole lot. This girl has a lot of talent and I'm sure we'll see a lot more from her.
I never understood the mediocre guitar bros saying she's not feeling it so it doesn't count (I've seen a ton of them making this argument against her). I mean I can understand the jealousy and I guess trying to tear her down anyway they can because she's better than they will ever be. But I've watched her face through this piece hundreds of times. She's definitely feeling it. She's not making a caricature of her face and overdramatizing what she's feeling like I've seen a lot of guitarists do, but that doesn't mean she doesn't feel it. Add to that that she's from a completely different culture and people express themselves differently in each culture. Different cultures and just different people express themselves in different ways. The most controlled person you've ever known could feel things more deeply than you will ever realize because they don't show it as much in their demeanor.
Man, never understood people how play or want to play guitar and get unmotivated after seen something like this. I've been playing guitar for 20 years, lots of practice and study, and i'm far of this level, but when i see this kind of playin', inmidiatly want to grab my guitar and practice, it's like "i want to do that" and star playing. Had watch the Sebs jaw drop!! 😅 If anyone says No Feel your an idiot!! She is 17 years old with all her focus on Not screwing up!! On camera!! Great Reaction!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
If you want to see what can happen when a kickass girl dad steps up, check out the all-girl band "The Warning"!! Three sisters, and each learned piano and now specialize in bass, guitar, and drums. But, yes, I never tire of seeing reactions to this amazing performance from Tina!
Every time I see a phenomenal guitar video like this it always takes me back to Funtwo's rendition of Canon Rock. If you haven't seen that, you should definitely check it out.
Another amazing guitarist is Kanami Tono. She is the lead guitarist of Band Maid (a Japanese, 5 piece. all girl band that does hard rock). Pick any song. You can`t go wrong with any choice, but i recommend Thrill (their first big hit) or Daydreaming, or Blooming, ect. Check them out. You won`t regret it.
She is proclaimed as a prodigy, apparently, she would practice a piece for months or years before putting it on UA-cam & is known to pick some of the hardest pieces to play. I have watched this video hundreds of times & it makes me smile every time.
Tina learns a piece between 15 days and 2 months for the Moonlight which is the longest. She is a schoolgirl and does not have much free time. She learned the Moonlight during the summer holidays (2 mounts) and she posted the video on August 17th.
Tina had been playing classical guitar since she was a teeny-weeny so she had all the knowledge before she changed her style. This probably is why she makes it look easy 😊👍
Now check out the "other" Tina, Valentina Lisitsa on the piano version. Her fingers are like alien spiders and her tone is immaculate: valentina moonlight sonata 3rd movement. It's a tangential branching to broaden your channel and viewers.
yes, she is fantastic, been through some stuff I'm told. She was on the internet a way long time ago and for some reason I can't comprehend she started getting a lot of harsh comments from idiots and quit then after a time she returned and now with a band which breaks my heart (in my opinion) because she is and could be a renowned superstar like Malmsteen in my estimation. She has a whole catalog of covers you can listen to. I like the one where there's a reaction video of Herman Li (fastest guitarist) from Dragonforce doing a cover of HIS song "Through the Fire and Flames". At first, he's like oh ok, then he's like impressed. LOL
Do you want to be blown away? Watch her cover of dragon force thru the fire and flames. Also she covers Malmstein's arpeggios from hell and makes it look soooo easy.
Want to see her play with feel? Watch her covers of For the Love of God, Altitudes, and The Loner. Oh and throw her Pink Floyd cover in as well. Little more on Tina's background: she started studying classical guitar at a conservatory in France at the age of 6. Switched to electric at 13. I first discovered her around age 8. She was posting her classical videos at that time. Since then shes taken them down except for one I believe.
So I can only guess that at some point while she was making these videos that someone who she trusts and IMO someone VERY smart told her to get school done and then go back and play which seems what she did. So she disappeared from UA-cam and nobody knew where she went and then she got a band together from what I understand. I love that kind of success.
Her school was Télécom SudParis is a major engineering, research and innovation school in information and communication science and technology, in Evry where she lives, 30 km south Paris, France.
i just wish i could even play 1 instrument and my Dad Mastered over 30 instruments and all i ever learned was 1 song on the piano. so dont worry i get jealous too and i grew up watching alot of the greatest musicians and have been wishing i could even play 1 instrument all my life.
Shawn Lane and Stanley Jordan, amongst others, were Vigier players. A masterpiece instrument for guitar prodigies. Unfortunately, the founder of Vigier retired 2 years ago and no Vigier guitars are made anymore.

Three sisters, and each learned piano and now specialize in bass, guitar, and drums.
But, yes, I never tire of seeing reactions to this amazing performance from Tina!
And the CASTELLOW, 3 pretty sisters.
Dude! Check out all of her stuff! It's absolutely amazing!
IT IS A VISUAL SPECTACULAR AS WELL AS A MUSICAL ONE.
The finger work reminds me of Eddie Van HALEN. UNBELIEVABLE!
Female Van Hallen, OMG/ Awesome !
Yes, she rose to fame covering the solo of Eruption at 13 yo 😂
She is now playing with a group as their guitarist - cut her hair and got some tats - nice music
LOL
her cover of Through the Fire and Flames by Dragonforce will blow your mind too !
Do you want to be blown away? Watch her cover of dragon force thru the fire and flames. Also she covers Malmstein's arpeggios from hell and makes it look soooo easy.
If you want more "feel", check out Tina's cover of altitudes by Jason Becker. 🎉
u should check out some of her covers, I listen to her for a while now she rarely duds a note
Reminds me of Jason Becker. Very talented young woman.
Oh wow. Is this the first time you’ve seen her? Oh boy, buckle up, set some snacks and drinks aside. She IS the best. Ever.
Did you also notice that this published as a one-take, no cut clip? Not a single error… 😳👍
Criticism coming from clods who can't keep time banging two rocks together!
So I can only guess that at some point while she was making these videos that someone who she trusts and IMO someone VERY smart told her to get school done and then go back and play which seems what she did. So she disappeared from UA-cam and nobody knew where she went and then she got a band together from what I understand. I love that kind of success.
Her school was Télécom SudParis is a major engineering, research and innovation school in information and communication science and technology, in Evry where she lives, 30 km south Paris, France.
she was voted the WORLDS best guitarist at either 16-17 or 17-18 check the records
i just wish i could even play 1 instrument and my Dad Mastered over 30 instruments and all i ever learned was 1 song on the piano. so dont worry i get jealous too and i grew up watching alot of the greatest musicians and have been wishing i could even play 1 instrument all my life.
She could share that talent with 5 other people and still have enough to say grace over.
I purchased a Vigier Excalibur for my wall of fame. She’s in my top three guitarists of all time. 🔥🎸🎸🎸🔥
Shawn Lane and Stanley Jordan, amongst others, were Vigier players. A masterpiece instrument for guitar prodigies. Unfortunately, the founder of Vigier retired 2 years ago and no Vigier guitars are made anymore.
No one uses the word 'purchased' if they actually bought shit.
@ purchased and bought have the same meaning or definition. I’ll send you pictures if you like
If you want 'feel', watch Tina cover Steve Vai's For the Love of God, Jason Becker's Altitudes, and Gary Moore's The Loner. Mind blowing!
Very impressing performance of this young lady! 🎸👌
I wonder what she is doing today.
She's in a band called spin twice where she is the writer of their music
She does eruption perfectly and she covers dragonflies through the fire and flames.
