I've been wearing Nobull trainers for 4 years now and love them. I know people hate on them for being the same shoe just different colors however that is why I like them. I know when I go to order a new pair that they are going to fit the way I like. Compared to other companies where the fit and feel of the shoe usually changes with the newer model.
As a guy with a wide foot the Otomix Stingray is a great shoe. I've had the same pair for 4 years and they look a bit dirty from use but just as solid as new. I love my Nike Romealos 2 but sadly Nike screwed that design up making them narrower in the toe area in the 3 and 4.
"Wide" toe boxes should not just be for people with wide feet. Nearly everyone crams their feet into shoes that are too narrow and they just don't know any better. Some of my favorite brands who make proper shoes are Vivobarefoot and Lems. Lems makes shoes that are a bit thicker, but I've owned shoes from both brands and I haven't worn through any of them in 8+ years. Actually every shoe I wear is from one of those two brands...my gym shoes, dress shoes, casual shoes, boots, golf cleats...haven't worn a non-proper shoe in years...aside from weddings :( They have ample toe room, no shitty arch support, and no heel or toe lift.
I have a pair of the high tops, one of the owners went to high school with my wife so he sent me some. They're decent, but a bit too narrow and stiff for my liking.
A set of insoles helps the original NoBull trainers immensely - it takes them from "I wouldn't run in these if I was being chased by a mad axe-man" to "the pain my feet are in is on-level with the WOD I'm in the middle of". I had good luck with SuperFeet RunComfort - they improved the run without sacrificing any stability.
I totally found out the hard way when doing hiit training in the original trainers. My knees hate me now. I tried putting insoles in the trainers but my knees aren't having it. I will try in a few months when I feel a bit more normal. I just pray there isn't permanent damage. 😬
I have too many pairs of NoBulls...from the trainers (favorites by far are the hi tops), to the runners (also really like the hi top runners) and the dress shoes. I love the simplicity of the shoe and the lack of a severe arch inside the shoe (I have a very flat foot and these fit comfortable for me during WODs). I also like that I can buy the same shoe in different colors and know how they will fit and feel. One thing I have noticed after owning 15+ pairs is that the toe box and overall feel of the trainers is a bit different between the trainers that have a single color sole and those that have dual color soles (in the video the blue hi tops have the dual color sole, and for some reason on those I find the toe box to be just ever so slightly bigger). All in these are by far my favorite shoes for not only workouts but just everyday life.
I have a pair of runners and lifters. I love my runners for causal wear but I would never workout in them. My foot would slide all over the place with the workouts I do. The lifters though, I was gifted and it's amazingly stable shoe. My foot never ever moves in them and they are gorgeous. I like No Bull overall but I find better shoes for what my daily workouts, it doesn't help that you can never get a discount on No Bull as you would with Metcons or Nanos. Love the review! Keep them coming.
Bought my first pair in 2017. Ran them down in africa heat, desert, sand, volcanic rock, salt water. I throw them in the washer and air dry them, and they still look brand new. I will keep them forever.
For many years at the gym I've been using hip waders. Believe it or not everyone is always looking at me so I know I'm doing something right. And as a bonus I'm ready for fishing afterwards.
*I was pleasantly surprised by how well these shoes fit also comfortably for my **Latest.Bike** . It takes a second to get them latched onto the bike, but they lock in once you get them right. Would definitely recommend it ..*
Trainers: Flat Heel. Deadlifting, not recommended for Squats. Lifters: Raised (3/4") heel. Squat Shoes. Helps if you have range of motion issues. Trainer+: More for cross training. Extra Cushioning and Traction Runners: Running Specific, Ultra durable for running - resists permanent compression.
I love NOBULL trainers -now called Outwork. I have 4 trainers. I love them for weight training. But my ultimate NOBULL favourite is the knit runners -now called Aspire (not for weight training though), the most comfortable shoes ever. I haven't got any trainer + yet -now called Impact; not sure I like too high sole. I am def a team NOBULL.
13 min in-depth review on all of the materials of a bunch of shoes from the same company without mentioning their prices? Nobull's are not for me, she deserved to do the snap, well spoken review, just missing a key element for many of the consumers of your content.
Hello. Nice review. Been a Team NANO member for over 8 years now. Ventured to the METCON side for a minute. Looking into the NOBULL Trainer+ for a while now. Your review is helping sell me on them. I'll let you know my thoughts in a few months. Thanks for the info.
Ive been thinking about getting the og trainers. After you said you've had them for years and they still looked that good I think i'm team nobull. Some cost comparison in the review would have been nice. Great job Amanda
Got myself my first Trainers recently. Managed to pull off wearing them for a work outfit, which makes me think if I should buy Trainers in leather hahahahaha
Good review. I own 3 pairs of nobull shoes and have the same mixed reactions. Semi expensive in comparison to others with better reputation and longevity. The double wall construction on the canvas rubs together and tares. While I'm completely contented with the leathers
I have some og trainers and a pair of leather runners. I over pronate and wear out the sides of shoes. I have been wearing the leather runners as my everyday shoes for two years now and no sign of wearing out. If I ran more, the sole would be worn out 😅. I'm in the army reserves and only run when I have to 😅
Amanda, great review. Dare I say better than Coop? I’m a huge No Bull fan. It’s the only shoe I can wear. I have collapsed arches. The lifters I’m to cheap to pay $300 for them but the trainers, I own two pair first pair 2 years old and I still use them in the gym. I was thinking of the trainers 2 but your review helped me say no to them. Thanks again great job. Super helpful.
I must have gotten a lemon pair of trainers because they fell apart within 6 months. With that said, I wouldn’t have kept them anyway because they are terrible for running as the review states. But I don’t run enough to justify a pair of shoes just for running. I’ve switched to GORUCK’s ballistic trainers instead because they’re better for running for me. I know some people hate running in them though. I do have a pair of NoBull lifters that are sitting in the closet. Not sure how I’m using a shoe incorrectly, but they don’t help me at all.
This is not a “no bull” question. But I saw that they were using the rep soft plyo box as no one seems to do reviews on these. Are they solid like a regular box or does the edge feel like it gives out.
My heel comes out of Trainers 2. I tried 2 different sizes. Same happened to my gf. Trainer 2 heel too big for women. I loved the shoe and wanted so bad for it to work 😩
They're controversial because they're expensive for being a relatively simple shoe in both construction and style. The trade off is that they (the original trainers, at least) are extraordinarily durable.
When I first got the trainers I was not a fan because of the stiffness and no coushion. The more I wore them however, the better they became. Definitely good for weightlifting but they're not great for dynamic movements.
I'll never buy another pair of trainers. They work great for power lifting and conditioning. I never knew about the company until my Faincee turned me onto them.
To all the people out there thinking about getting the "og trainers" if you are doing any kind of lifting in these your feet will get hot as hell. There is zero breathability with these shoes. I bought them 5 years ago and while they still look brand new the truth of the matter is its because you can't wear them more than 10 minutes without your feet being on fire. The soles are hard as a rock and the whole shoe is super hard material that resembles plastic. No cushion.
@@benbarnett1076 I definitely wear socks. It's the shoe. I've had countless other people order them and say the same thing. It's the weird fabric they use that is like coated in plastic. I think it stems from being a mesh trainer fan and switching to those and it being a horrible experience.
@@vomik3 not really a fanboy, they’re fine shoes but not spectacular. But the notion that you’ve A) spoken to “countless people” who have all owned a pair about these shoes and B) they’ve all had the same issue that no one else seems to have is ridiculous and shows you’re just someone who came on here to flame a product you don’t like. Weird vendetta to have against some shoes, but you do you my guy
Also NoBull: let’s plagiarize “The Artist & The Olympian” for this video we want to make for The Speckle Trainer and not credit the director of the original in any way.
Amanda is very cute and personable. She has spunk. I like her. She will only get better. Great review. Never hear of NoBull shoes. Will not buy them based on review. Thanks.
Hi my name is Jimmy Noneck. I have no neck. Can you please do a review of all the neck trainers currently available (especially the GS Harness used by F1 drivers) because one day I would like to have a nice thick neck. PS Thanks for all you do Love Jimmy Noneck
I don't understand how anyone calls these shoes stable. there the most unstable training shoe ive ever worn. your one squat away from snapping an ankle in this trash every workout.

They just need to restock.
We need a list of the best shoes for training with wide toe boxes for us wide foot people.
Amen!!!
Preach!

Anyone else go from shoes in the gym to bare at home during COVID for lifting? I'll use hard rubber wedges for squats but that's it these days.

One other downside is that they have a narrower toe box. They are very durable but may not be an option for those with bigger feet.

I have a pair of the original NoBull trainers but I much prefer my GoRuck ballistic trainers. GoRuck’s are cheaper also.

Is there a removable insert?
Good video, I love receiving a deep snatch!

Do any of those shoes have enough traction that they won’t slip and slide on the leg press?
I love no bulls! Only training shoe I have used for 4-5 years!
I have never tried them but have known many people that enjoyed them.
I almost bought a pair of these. Very glad I didn't, because I didn't realize they were CrossFit shoes
I wonder does their stick compare with Brooks? (I work in a grocery store and Brooks get me thru any wet floors/freezers/edge climbs)
Team NoBull over there. I currently have 5 pairs I still wear and I've retired at least 4 pairs.
nice review !!!!😊
What is the best running shoe in your opinion?
Got myself my first Trainers recently. Managed to pull off wearing them for a work outfit, which makes me think if I should buy Trainers in leather hahahahaha
The nanos for the space on my toes and adidas lifters! That’s all I need
How is the Trainer+ sizing compared to Nano? Also, does the insole come out for orthotics?
Great job on the video! I'm a big fan of the hi-top trainers
can you review the velaasa shoes? I see olympic weightlifters using them and I'm wondering how good they are

No Bull are the only shoes I wear to the gym, I think they are the best imo
Great reviews! Do you have any opinion on the Matryx Trail Runners specifically?
Better than Adidas Ultraboost??
This is not a “no bull” question. But I saw that they were using the rep soft plyo box as no one seems to do reviews on these. Are they solid like a regular box or does the edge feel like it gives out.
I wear no shoes for static lifting at all. For running and dynamic training i got a pair of salomon speedcross or wear my haix boots.
Team, what’s the ETA for the functional trainer comparison video? Some of us are putting off making a buying decision until we see that video!
I’m a big fan of the brown lifters look, but I own the romaleos wish I saw those first
I go between Nobull and Vans all the time.
I like the Hi-tops but they're difficult to remove and put on. Very durable though.
NoBulls are probably the most uncomfortable cross training shoes I’ve ever owned.
Please more shoe reviews.
She kinda looks like Weird Al Yankovic haha..
My heel comes out of Trainers 2. I tried 2 different sizes. Same happened to my gf. Trainer 2 heel too big for women. I loved the shoe and wanted so bad for it to work 😩
What did I miss? Why is it so “controversial” just the flat fit & style/color?

When I first got the trainers I was not a fan because of the stiffness and no coushion. The more I wore them however, the better they became. Definitely good for weightlifting but they're not great for dynamic movements.
The knit runners start to fall apart pretty fast. Also dont change direction quick in them
What happened to coop only reason I clicked the video 😅
I don't know about Nobulls, but I'm team Asics.
Where is Coop?
Wish my gym had a rope climb
Too expensive for what they are. Vans and Chuck Taylor’s are my favorite for all workouts, and I don’t run so I’m covered there, too.
Hate the no bull shoes, love the lifters!
They need to make a wide size.
Enjoying the weird al yankovik vibes
Anyone ever use these for boxing?

Not a big fan of Nobull. I just don;t like the way they look.

So basically vans

Foot coffins.....only way to go is Xero shoes
Too bad they went woke. They'll be my go-to if i ever start competing as a chick.
