@@thatfitfriend I like to review just about anything before I pull the trigger just because we kind of lived more and more online than in person nowadays. So it's harder to find some of the you know hidden gems for brands at stores because it's always kind of just the same stuff that's always been there and oftentimes aftermarket stuff or stuff that's other than the big box stores or big name. Brands can be quite better than the stuff that's been around longer because I feel like sometimes they try harder and they put a little more effort into it instead of just pumping out knowing that they can make money cuz it's got their brand name on it. So I research everything before I pull the trigger on anything and I definitely feel more comfortable purchasing me shoes after watching your videos.
my second Nobull video of yours I'm watching. Such thorough content! Wish I could get a hi top but I don't love the idea of unlacing to get optimal ankle flexion for skwats
I haven't tried the trainer+ or court trainer the OG trainer is my go to training shoe. It's light, stable, I like the low stack height and I know what I'm getting. I don't have to worry that the next version messed up something I like. I primarily do CrossFit and it works great for anything I do inside. It is pretty bad to run in but I over the years I found that's pretty much the case for all trainers I've tried (nanos, metcons, strike movement). While some have been a little better to run in than other there aren't any I would really want to run in so I don't even factor that in when getting new trainers.
Fantastic review! I'm looking into buying some NoBulls but it's not like you can go try them on, so your reviews are helping. You should add view of the shoes on, front, side and back. Do you have any foot slide when doing lateral movement?
I love that suggestion! Can definitely add that. Thank you! Not really. If I wear super thin no-show socks I do slide a bit in the Trainer+, but that's not an issue with thicker socks. For context, I have a neutral-width foot and a normal arch!
Firefighter so we do a MIX of training and looking into these. I’ve had the OG trainer for about 3 years now (on my second pair which is now shot) & need another. I use them in a part time job moving pianos and going up and down grip tape ramps definitely eats up the grip.. thinking the trainer+ may be the way to go seeing the bottom being rigid maybe they’ll last longer (although listening to this makes me lean towards court). Awesome video thank you so much. Have a wide foot too so I’ve made due w/the OG ones and haven’t had crazy complaints Trainer+ for PT during my fire shifts & for wear during my part time moving gig seem to be the way to go.

Hey man, awesome work! Quick question. How does the toe box (Trainer and/or Court Trainer) compare to something like a Nano 9...which is my absolute favorite? Trying to decide based on the fit.
Hi, great video! I have a pair of the trainer+ and will be trying pickleball. Will the trainer+ be ok? I'd like to hold off on buying another shoe for a bit if I can
Thank you! I took a 2 hour PB 101 clinic today.... I have bad feet and think I need something with more cushion, but for people with no foot problems I think the trainer + is fine as well. Looks like I will be buying a cushy court shoe because I absolute loved PB today.
@@lynnfiore585 nothing will beat a sport-specific model, imo! haha, it’s a slippery slope…the addiction is real. Lmk if you’re ever in Denver and we can play 😎
Thank you! IMO, NOBULL Trainers all typically run pretty warm due to them all using a similar SuperFabric upper. In the context of these three, the traditional Trainer would be your best bet, but that's relatively speaking. Are you looking specifically at NOBULL or would you like other suggestions as well?
@@thatfitfriend thank you very much for the info and offer! I think I might go try on a Hoka Clifton 8 today. I’ve tried it ok before, but I’m used to skate shoes and work boots, so the upper on running shoes seem too soft. The nobull runner catches my eye too.
Great breakdown. Were you ever noticing if they’re all as dense or which pair is least cushier? Was afraid the trainer plus is more cushier for deadlifts
The NOBULL Trainer is less cushioned. Even then though, the Court Trainer and Trainer+ are still pretty dense and I don't think most folk will have an issue with them. My main gripe with the Trainer+/Court for pulling is their stack heights aren't really "optimal", but again, I don't think most will notice and are that specific with their tugs.
Awesome comparison! One question I have on the topic of daily wear / running I think in the RAD One video you said those shoes were the best for that. Is that still the case? I am very interested in finding a pair of training shoes that will also be comfortable to wear all day and do some shorter runs in.
Still solid! Court/Trainer+ would be the most comparable of these, but I like the RAD a tad more because the midsole is a bit softer for these contexts.
Eh, idk If I'd go as far to call them minimalist. I like the high-top for all-day wear, but that's the only model I prefer to wear for long periods and that's solely for vanity reasons and not necessarily comfort! NOBULL Trainer+ delivers a bit more comfort regarding walking, but isn't minimalist whatsoever.

youtube can be frustrating bc this guy only has 16.7 k subs but then stupid channels will have more than a million
Thank you, and only has! That's a lot! We just have to keep chipping, my friend.
I actually just hired a team to help me level up the editing on the channel, so I'm hoping that helps the channel reach more folks in 2023. My editing skills only go so far, so I think with the same quality info + more professional edits we'll see an uptick!
Either way, I'm grateful for my community and we'll keep growing, no doubt!
RIP turf trainers.......... would you say the trainer + is better for turf training than the court trainer?
They're about the same, honestly
So basically vans
Not really, lol. What makes you say that though?
@@thatfitfriend flat mid and outer sole , little to no heel roll . The nylon upper and slight toe roll are really the only difference Nobull has on vans . And atleast vans can uniform their edges of the fabric
@@Noah-b6r9l 4mm drop in the NOBULL versus 0mm in Vans, outsole/midsoles are built to be more responsive than the waffle tread in Vans, and the upper in the NOBULL is a layered SuperFabric designed to withstand rope climbs (which would shred Vans). Plus, the shoes have different use intents.
I’m pro Vans shoes, btw, but want to highlight that they are very different when the rubber hits the road for certain training contexts!
Doodoo, lol
😅😅
