This portion of his career is so underrated. He put out a ton of great music during the 2000's. This man was crazy versatile.... RIP IN PEACE CC!

I so agree. That this same guy fronted Soundgarden and Audioslave, did solo acoustic tours in big and small venues around the world, did an album of wildly diverse covers (released posthumously). ... It goes on and on. He was gifted and had so much creative work to do. RIP.

@@cyackulic Don’t forget,Temple Of The Dog&Mad Season as well🤘🏽🤗Some people don’t realize part of being an “artist” is all about being VERSATILE wether it be on paper, canvas, dancing or music! We’ve all been taught to be creatures of habit..if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it etc etc! What a boring way to live lol Chris,Kurt,Scott,Andy n Chester along with hundreds more have shown the world VERSATILITY at its finest regardless of the tempo, rhythm, vocal pitch or lyrics of their music! They paint with ALL the colors, sing with ALL the emotions n we should try to do the same🤍

OMG... what an incredible voice!! The vocal range and the ability to hold a tone is imo unmatched. I am so sad still that he and Chester are gone. I hope they both found peace wherever they are now. Chis Cornell, Eddie Vedder, Chester Bennington, Kurt Cobain and Dave Grohl were and still are the voices of a gerneration.

He will do great any where that he goes, he has been in how many bands??? All of which have hits. I love his voice and his talent. It doesn't matter who plays the instruments behind him, he makes the songs great.

I saw the world, it was beautifulBut the rain got in and ruined it allThen I tried to be invisibleIt was impossibleEven for meI laughed at loveIt was a big mistakeIn the absence ofI filled it with hateCause there's no such thing as nothingYeah there's no such thing as nothing at allI had the brains not to think at allBut the rain got inAnd I thought too hardOn the world, and as usualI slumped too far into the voidI tried to make everything meaninglessBut the rain got in and made it a messCause there's no such thing as nothingYeah there's no such thing as nothing at allYeah there's no such thing as nothingBut my finger's on the triggerAnd I'll turn off the worldSo what gives me the rightTo think that I could throw away a life?Even mineAnd what makes you believeThat you could get away with getting old?Overlapping meMaybe to lose or to save your soulIs a choice of how you fill the holeAnd the rain got inCause there's no such thing as nothingYeah there's no such thing as nothing at allThere's no such thing as nothingBut my finger's on the triggerAnd I'll turn off the world

Anyone who has ever heard songs like "Slave & Bulldozers" or "Gasoline" realizes that Cornell isn't exactly the epitome of 'mainstream', although the last Audioslave was most definitely more 'pop' than anything I'd ever imagine that group doing.
Here's hoping the Cornell regains his voice that he had in the 90s. Last time I heard him screech "Spoonman" it was sad, man, sad. No more high notes, just strained screams.
