Cheers,

I gotta say Daniel, these utube vids on nirvana & Seattle bands in general are awesome mate, by far the best ones I’ve seen. Your work & research is impeccable keep up the great work. I’m 48 & lived through this music and also being a musician myself really has me going back to my youth. You’ve definitely a new fan here mate I will be definitely watching all your vids especially the Seattle stuff. I can’t tell you enough how impressive these are cheers buddy.
Keep up the great work!
I was wondering if you noticed this picture at 41:30 it's very bizarre like the guy is somehow inside and outside the window at the same time....😳
Dude please don’t ever get discouraged about low view counts. Your interviews are top notch and will live on forever.
Correct. Number will grow but quality is always great. Amazing efforts from Handsworth Birmingham UK XX
It's history
One of my favorite interviews involving NIRVANA! Bruce has a unique perspective that no one else can provide.
Kurt to Bruce: We are recording the album I just need $600 come on!
Bruce: Sorry Kurt we're too broke for even 600 bucks.
Also Bruce: I can't believe he went to a major label! :(
Mr. Pavitt briefly mentioned his good friend Calvin Johnson from his time in Olympia. It would be very interesting to hear an interview with Calvin about his experiences with Kurt in Olympia. I haven't read a whole lot about Kurt in Olympia but it seems that was a real period of self discovery and transition for young Kurt Cobain. Olympia is kind of the primordial soil for what was eventually (beat) happening in Seattle. Regardless, another knockout interview. Bravo and praise to all involved.
Yeah that would be great. The tattoo they mentioned was the only tattoo Kurt ever had, and he did it himself at home. It must have meant a lot to him to brand himself like that. He talks about a bit about Olympia in the official biography and the movie About A Son but only a few comments. I love his performance on KAOS, nice to hear him in a comfortable environment and the songs are great.
Great interviews! If only Daniel could speak like a human and not like a virtual assistant))))
I was fortunate enough to see nirvana at the U.B alumni arena for in utero
Wow. All the interviews and work you've put documenting all this information about Nirvana is outstanding, thank you so much Daniel. You're my hero.
Fantastic interview 👏 🔥
This is amazing, I grew up reading about Nirvana, and Kurt talked about Bruce Pavitt and Jonathan Poneman about a million times in the one and only official biography. And in interviews etc. I always thought some day in the distant future they might feel ok about talking about that time. And here it is.
I can't believe this has less than 10k views, this is professional quality.
Thank you for doing this!
RIP KURT. ROCK FOREVER MY MAN
Amazing interviews man. Thank you!
I really like the Chad sound. What he did with those symbols was unique. It gave the drums this really dark sound. I love it
This is a fantastic interview, thanks so much man !
Awesome interview!! One of the best Nirvana related interviews of all time
Great interview all round. Interesting listening to a walking history like Bruce and you’re a really good interviewer man
Fantastic insights. Really enjoyed watching and listening to this conversation. Thanks for sharing!
Had Bruce listened to the new songs Kurt was writing he would have known they were looking for a bigger stage. It was an obvious change in their music.
Great Great Great interview
Great questions bro! Not the typical questions
Thank you
Your favourite new thing to watch
And I never write on these
Cheers mate Mikey England x
I so hope the SubPop movie gets made someday!
100% it would be awesome
Bruce is a living legend too
Great work with this interview - very insightful (as are the ones with Jack Endino and Steve Albini)
Thanks Andrew, appreciate it! If you’re into Alice in Chains check out the interview I did with their producer Toby Wright. If you like it drop a comment on the vid & lemme know what you think :) ua-cam.com/video/fwFS-rwB90E/v-deo.html
I remember seering Nirvana on SNL I had never heard anything like that .
I loved Bleach. It was like Sabbath meets punk rock. Bleach is the only Nirvana record I still listen to. Totally bitchin'.
Can anyone explain the guy behind Kurt at 41:30? It's like he's inside and outside the window at the same time.
50:30/1:07:39
You're right, sure was "mind-blowing."
I bought Bleach before Nevermind came out. I had no idea who these guys were, I just liked the cover. When Nevermind came out I was disappointed to say the least. However I got a copy of Horemoning witch lead me down the road to there bootleg stuff. Florence Alabama.
Where is your shirt?
Oh, there it is
It's funny to imagine that little man cowering behind his desk hoping Mark Lanegan doesn't beat the shit out of him for ignoring his album art demand.
It’s very interesting that things fell apart in Rome mentally in 89, having the breakdown and almost a suicide by jumping from the PA... and then he attempted suicide via pills/champagne five years later in Rome.
The second Rome issue wasn't a suicide attempt. There's a video of the Italian doctor that treated him online. The first issue in Rome probably wasn't a suicide attempt. I doubt he thought he'd kill himself by jumping off a PA. Maybe broken ribs or a sprained ankle.
That is most definitely not true
Kurt was NEVER suicidal! That’s Courtney’s BS she put out in the press so that when she had him killed (not suicide) that was her made up delusional way of getting rid of Kurt. She was jealous of his career and Kurt was making plans to divorce her (due to her manipulation and cheating) and take her out of his will. She had him killed before those events were able to take place. Watch Soaked In Bleach is all I’m going to say about that.
Yeah... That "attempt" hours after asking for divorce to his attorney and get out the bitch from the will. Yeah, pure coincidence.
The "real" genius behind bleach is the producer. Lol. You can't squeeze a diamond out of coal. What goes in is what makes the mix good.
If Kurt lived and met Jack White. What kind of Rock and Roll would we have now?
Psychedelic hard rock with mellowness.
Blew and abou a girl are the two songs that I like least of the whole album. However Blew is a good opening song
Grunge--with ideals like danger, irreverence, recklessness, attitude---was the last real revolution to shake up the music industry. There hasn't been a backlash against the corporate machine in 3 decades, which is sad.
They probably should of given Jason a few extra bucks instead of not paying anything.idk if I'd brag about being a pos.
Did Everman get anything for his $600?
Skinny Italians beat Kurt up in high school?
does Courtneycome over fo tea?
So hypocrite, nowadays every single og fan knows Sub Pop shited on Nirvana
Didnt trust a dime on them, and actually were surprised they broke in success. They bet Mudhoney would be their TiEr 1.
