KARD came back with a deeper sensibility after successfully completing its world tour in 25 cities of 13 countries in three months after its debut in July with the debut album [Hola Hola].
The title track ‘You In Me’ is an EDM song with the strong synth and FX sounds on the tropical house style intense drum sounds. The cold voice on the heavy piano sounds on the Break beat, explosive rap and the perfect contrast between the female and male voices at the climax are all in harmony. It described the story of a tragic ending of an extreme love including obsession of distorted love, the climax of emotions and the wrong way of expressing love.

They really said ✨necrophilia ✨. I think it’s them basically saying “you will be mine forever.” “Why don’t you respond to me” ..... and the guys are dead. So their partners have died but their so attached to them and feel like they can’t live without them so their keeping their dead bodies and pretending like their alive. Like how Jiwoo was cutting Jsephs food but grabbing his hands. Or how Somin was shaving BM in the shower for him. The guys have been dead the whole video. It was just the girls imagination and delusion making it look like they were still alive. That’s why the word at the end is “attached” (it’s in Spanish) the girls are so attached to their late partners that they are playing dolls with their corpse everyday to fill that void. It’s hella dark.

I don't think the guys really, physically died. I think it's just a metaphorical death, of their feeling or relationship drifting apart. The girls had different reactions, while somin acted out; crying, laughing, etc. Jiwoo had a more subtle but all too real internal suffering.

The meaning of this song is very deep first starters the name of the hotel "APEGO" is a word in spanish and it means Attachment (EMOTIONAL attachment) both couples Sephwoo and Bmin represent different some kind of toxic relationships and Bseph become Zombies because of that, Sowoo are manipulating their lifes, Somin not letting BM out of the hotel because of BM being alcoholic and Jiwoo wanting J.Seph to be a perfect man, in the very end Somin reacts and feels bad for BM but she knows that it's to late, but Jiwoo doesn't react and in fact she feels happy for what she did.

I think that the boy is living a life of toxic relationship with the girl. They find that their end of the relationship is dead. They don't want to be with her anymore. However, the girl wants to keep him there, no matter what. A possible clingy nature. Or, Jiwoo and Somin both just went insane and killed them. There's also that. Either way, this song is a bop, and I love it.

The name of the motel is apego. Apego in spanish means, something among the lines of being attached to, something that you're close to. Obviously here, or at least this is how I see it, Somin and Jiwoo are attached to they ex boyfriends. They have that "apego" to them. They don't understand they're gone, that's why they say "you're mine, you're my everything, I can't let you go, I need you in my life". The raps of BM and J. Seph just emphasize this; the song talks about someone who cannot move forward, who is still attached to their ex, that person knows it's over but still, can't get over it. The fact that BM and J. Seph are "dead" in this video just symbolizes how Jiwoo and Somin are stucked in a reality where they are still together, but the truth is, they are not. That's why they are dead; they can't let them go. Also, the scene in which the camera gets dizzy and Somin acts like crazy just shows how she lost control over herself due to the pain of not having the love of her life next to her.
This is how I see it because it's happening to me. I do not say that he is mine, I think that's a little too much, but the rest resonates with me perfectly. This video it's brilliant.

What i love about kard is they use both genders to their advantage, instead of making the members pretend the others dont exist. When I heard about them being a co ed group I was expecting super bubbly, no sexual or serious undertones to make up for the fact they were mixing genders because, well, its korea. But nope. Kard fucking slays and this comeback gave me goosebumps like no other song theyve had before.

The boys are dead from the beginning but somin didn't realized cause she was drunk, so she is the type of person who isn't conscious of what her toxicity does that is why she is sorry and takes so much care of the corpse, in the other hand Jiwoo knows, all the dinner and everything was a set up she did and she is happy that J.Seph is dead cause now he is only hers forever, she is conscious of what she did and do not regret, also the neon lights show the word "Apego" which is an old "torture" device of a machine with the head of a women and her arms open, so when the person hugs the fake women they die cause the arms have spikes made of metal. Also "Apego" in Spanish means "An intense affective link, long lasting" so they had so much "apego" for them that they killed them, one because she didn't realized and the other one because she wanted him only for herself.
The hit they give us to know they are dead from the beggining is their dead emotionless way to be, looking at the void like BM is always doing until Somin fell asleep, but they look dead in the outside when both of the girls have realized what they did, when Somin wakes up from the hungover and when Jiwoo completely knows she is in control of J.Seph (When he is sitting in front of the mirror with her being him, kinda like seeing themselves and how is dead body can't do anything without her)

co ed basically means there's both female and male members- groups with only females, or only males are very common in korea, and since many fans are over possessive of idols (specifically male idols) they don't want them getting close to idols of the opposite sex,,, the only other co ed group i can think of is akmu, who are siblings actually, but they're still a co ed group :D

kard is literally one of the most talented groups I’ve ever stanned
The name of the place is "apego". In my country apego is like a strong bond or relationship with someone or something (it literally means attachment when translated). Sometimes (like in this case) it refers to when you can't let go of something or someone (more on the obsession side) because you have "apego" to that especific someone or object (this is not always the connotation of the word because like I said it's more on the obsession side of the road but I feel like that's the one they are using in here). In the MV we can clearly see their "apego" to the guys (BM&JS) that i suppose are their lovers. Even tho they are "dead" (or maybe just emotionless towards Jiwoo and Soomin) They can't let go of them, they want to keep loving them forever. Also take a look at the words they use "you are mine/my property". Thats apego in this case in particular.

On the surface it's a horror story about two women keeping the corpses of their SO's around, possibly after poisoning them, but the meaning is supposed to go deeper. Like it's a commentary about one member of a relationship smothering the other person with too much love and obsession and killing the relationship or not letting them go after it's clear you need to part ways. So it's like your boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband is there with you physically, but they're emotionally disengaged and miserable that it's like they might as well be a corpse that you're dragging around.

i feel like this song was a darker reversal of don't recall. in don't recall, the girls are singing about how they don't remember a happy moment in their romantic relationship, while matthew's and jseph's parts are about feeling lonely and wanting the love and attention of their partner. the girls seem to have fallen out of love while the guys are holding onto it.
and here, the roles are reversed. jiwoo and somin are the ones desperately holding onto the relationship, wondering why their partners aren't paying attention to them anymore while seph and matthew are “dead” or tired of the relationship. i don't know if it was intentional but it's a really interesting idea.

I think this song is about an abusive relationship, in a lot of cases the female counterpart becomes intensely overprotective of the male counterpart and the male becomes trapped in this state, zombie like if you are referring to this video. The lyrics also portray that, when jseph says '"your trace or fragments are everywhere." he''s saying she's everywhere so he can't leave. when the guys start looking like they are dead it's a *metaphor* ! I know someone personally who I helped get out of a situation like that and this song portrays everything so perfectly.

It's my first time again in years to rewatch their MVs, tbh almost forgot their song's existence, I didn't even realized that I've stopped following them ever since I don't know. Watching and listening to them again is such a nostalgic moment for me since I've loved them so much.

Ok I know I should be talking about how lit the beat is but I have a theory!
So in this song, the girls (Somin and Jiwoo) are saying “why are you pushing me away?” The storyline for this song is basically the guys (BM and J.Seph) don’t love the girls anymore but the girls can’t accept that fact. When it looks like the guys are dead, it’s representing that the love that they used to have for the girls is dead. The girls are alive and it represents that their love for the guys is still alive.
When Somin’s dancing around holding her head, it’s like she’s turning crazy. She’s imagining he’s (BM) still with her. She’s imagining he still loves her. The fact that he actually doesn’t drives her crazy. It may seem that Jiwoo is calm but she really isn’t. She’s just as crazy as Somin because she too is imagining he’s (J.Seph) still with her even though he’s already left her.
2nd theory is that this is the first part to ‘Don’t Recall’. Don’t Recall talks about the guys (BM and J.Seph) wanting the girls back. BM has one line that say “baby, I can’t let you go”. He’s saying that he can’t let her (Somin) go but she doesn’t want to make the same mistake, which was loving him. So ‘You In Me’ is the girls turning crazy because they think that the guys don’t love them anymore but in ‘Don’t Recall’ it is found out that the guys do still love them and want them back.
BTW this is just MY theory! It’s stupid but whatever 😂
