i feel like dancehall caribbean reggae vibe thing is really becoming a trend in kpop these days. That's what i love so much about kpop, that they're never afraid to mix in different styles and genres into their music, as opposed to westerb pop music where for a certain long period of time every song basically sounds the same
T J I agree! They really do mix the genres well and don't limit themselves to just one box which is definitely why I find K-pop more appealing these days than western music. Sometimes they attempt to break out over here in the west but majority of it really is the same.

It takes a while before some artists who are internationally popular become popular domestically way later, usually because of our differing music tastes? I think later S.Koreans will recognize they are popular outside and get curious and eventually become fans. Or something like that. I'm sure you've noticed the pattern with other artists.

Their music so far has been dancehall, which is a genre that originated from Jamaica. They also have incorporated other music styles like edm in their songs. Their choreographer has also been to Jamaica and learned our way of dance and she's amazing no wonder she chose K.A.R.D. They dance so well.
I don't know who produces their beats, but DAMN. He/she has one damn good ear for addictive beats. Get'em a raise.

Is it just me but isn't beautiful how the song is literally like a conversation between a male and female? I think that is really unique since most lyrics in Kpop songs are either sung from either a male or female POV and not both them interlacing with one another in the same song.

I really admire DSP media for making a group like KARD. In this kpop age of clones, it is REALLY refreshing to see and HEAR something original, refreshing and unique...I am really loving the whole concept and what KARD is serving up so far.. Both of their releases so far have really met my expectations and this is only their pre-debut...I hope DSP media allows them to focus on giving up something of quality and different....KARD has it all...visuals, vocals, rapping, dancing...their music so far were catchy, lyrics were well thought-out, pretty nice choreo, excellent vocal chemistry between the singers....I really hope they try out different concepts and style once they debut so that more and more people will get curious and stay interested and I know they have the potential to pull it off...All they need is their company's support and especially of us, the fans and I think they would be incredibly successful....

Mind you, they have hit worthy songs however they just didn’t find their audience in Korea which led to them only getting a fraction of their success.
the general public in korea don't like this kind of kpop group, with female & male. u know how they go crazy when a kpop male / female group member has dating rumor? they specifically hate men & women together because they love to treat grown adult women as a baby who can they can fantasize & the same goes with the men. That doesn't mean that they are not banned from dating each other. If they even have the slightest attraction toward each other do you think that they would come out right and publicly confess it. It is not about being professional it is about their feelings. Kpop idols date a lot in secret and we probably don't know anything about it. They might also just see each other as family.
