GM13c Christ and the End Times Pt3

Jesus relates that in keeping with Daniel's prophecy and description of the "abomination of desolation" in Jerusalem's temple, that such an abomination is to occur with the destruction of the temple. After Rome destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD, they also destroyed the temple, and left Jerusalem desolate, and no longer in a covenant relationship with God. This was due to Israel rejecting Christ, His atoning work, and His royal priesthood, and continuing to falsely worship God with blood sacrifices in the temple. Jesus is warning His disciples of this pending judgment, and to be prepared, and not to be led astray by false teachers, and continue to trust in Christ and His teaching.
