My dad was an assistant band director of the Notre Dame band in the late 60s and later the band announcer for 29 years. Oh, he also designed the plaid fabric that they wear on their uniforms, better seen on the Irish Guard. I remember him working on it at home. His name was Frank Amussen. This bring back wonderful memories.
I was randomly viewing some drumline videos and stumbled on this clip. What a delightful surprise! I have such great childhood memories getting the mimeographed copy of the script for the halftime shows at NDs bowl games. Following along while my uncle was announcing on national TV was a thrill and something I'll never forget...
I was a graduate assistant band director at ND 1986-88, and I remember Frank very well. He also drove the instrument truck when the concert band went on tour in the spring semester and announced the concert pieces and gave some program notes about each piece. He was a super nice fellow.
Where were all these nd people when Georgia beat nd at home and the Georgia Nation legion of fans took over nd stadium. it looked like a Georgia home game
Norte Dame is SO OVERATED.. OF COURSE THEY WIN.. PLAYING TEAMS THAT ARE NOT SO GOOD.. SWITCHING CONFERENCE AT WILL JUST TO MAKE THEM LOOK LIKE A WINNING TEAM

☘️That’s a huge band! I love the entrance with the guard going in first! ☘️
I was at that game, Section 9 Row C Seat 7, behind Purdue.
That camaraderie in the tunnel -- you can never capture that in life. It is the most awesome feeling!
It's temporal commaraderie which does not last after they graduate.
Love from Ireland go irish 💚💚🙌
This was filmed in September 2012. Sixteen weeks away from ALABAMA.
Love Thee, Notre Dame

Hard to believe it took Coach Kelly this long to jump ship to greener pastures and bigger paydays ahead.

Nice band.....football team continues to be MEH
Why are they dressed like Highlanders, irish don't wear kilts or tartan
What a waste of my time watching that out of step out of sync entrance. Its no wonder Notre Dame is a second rate institution
