It took 60 years to achieve the opportunity to ßee a he game. Lit a candle at the Grotto and pray for my parents who adored Notre Dame. They taught me how to love Irish football
I am a recent ND Graduate. I am glad that I went to Notre Dame. I had the option of going to other Ivy league schools, but in complete honesty, there is no other place like Notre Dame. I am not a Catholic, but the feeling and environment in University ( including Grotto and Basilica) brings so much peace, serenity and tranquillity to a person's mind and soul.. Our Lady of Notre Dame is definitely looking after her loved ones... Go Irish !!!
I went to ND. I stepped on the field about where Knute Rockne once stood. I looked up and asked "I know I am not suppose to ask for anythig for myself..but just this once, just this time..if you could see your way clear I would like the chance to coach High School football"...four days later I was called by the , then, head coach of Don Bosco HS in New Jersey and asked if I wanted to interview for a coaching job. I ended up coaching there for four years. ND is very special.
My father (may is memory be a blessing) never went to Notre Dame. He was born in Brooklyn & except for a few years during WWII, lived his entire life in Brooklyn. Yet, he was a huge Notre Dame fan. He was a member of the last generation of Irish fans, known as the NYC Subway Alumni of Notre Dame. I am his son & was raised as a Notre Dame fan from the time I was in my Mother's womb. I get goose pimples when I listen to this song. I know my father is smiling down from heaven. Let's Go Irish!
I love Notre Dame more than anything. I am going to go to school there and nobody believes me. I am the present day Rudy. This song motivates me. "And as always... GO IRISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This song both embodies Irish heritage and a profound love for the University of Notre Dame... I am very proud to be a part of each and am a huge fan of this song... especially live
This song plays on a radio station in South Bend at 5:00pm on the Friday before gameday. It is really a great football experience in South Bend. GO IRISH!!!!!!!!
As an Irish man born and raised, who moved to America from 1997-2006 and naturalised as a Citizen, I am proud of being both Irish and American, proud to hold citizenship of both and this song makes me proud as a 'true' Irish American!
I was just watching this and thinking about this still gives me goosebumps every time I hear this song. What an amazing song. I will forever listen to this song.
GO IRISH! What a great song, and truly a great voice from this very talented singer! Wishing Notre Dame the best, as always, as it is truly the most unique place!
I am once a student of Notre Dame of Manila, Philippines. I'm proud of how my school taught me to grow with love with the Blessed Mother, with other people particularly the less fortunate ones, and for mother nature.
yeah im from Massachusetts, which is BC country, but I am a big ND fan. Went to ND-Navy game at ND stadium in 2005. I loved the experience and this song kicks ass!!!!! I am of irish background as well I guess that is how I a became a huge fan and well of course a major network like NBC.
I often wonder why so many have difficulty appreciating our love for Notre Dame, I think next time someone questions us, we will just play this song. Our hearts forever, love thee Notre Dame Dennis ('69) & Maggie
I pray that our team becomes as amazing as this song one day because right now the echos are not ringing and she is belting this song like the IRISH should be. ONE DAY COME THE IRISH. ONE DAY THE ECHOS WILL AWAKEN AGAIN. ONE DAY HERE COME THE IRISH.
ONLY WHEN THE NCAA STOPS ALL THE CHEATERS LIKE BAMA,OHIO,USC, S.FLORIDA, TENN, SO MANY THESE GUYS GET FULL SCHOLARSHIPS & CAN'T SPELL THERE OWN NAMES & ON TOP OF IT ONLY NEED TO CARRY SMALL GPA's & take easy classes. Look who wins the heisman these last 10 years, (IT WAS TO BE AN AWARD OF EXCELLENCE IN THE CLASS ROOM ,IN THE COMMUNITY & ON THE FIELD IN THAT ORDER! SO SAD
The NCAA only requires Senior football players to have a 1.2 GPA. That's something below a D+ avg. Notre Dame requires a 2.0 (c) which is substantially harder than it sounds.
Being a student there for four years was fantastic. I loved every minute. The feelings recapitulate time & again. In prayer, and in living everyday life. I can face alot of danger & adversity because there is a community of believers called the University of Notre Dame du Lac. I love everything about it. God has a plan. ☘
no words can ever describe my devotion to this team...ive seen it in person on sept. 5th against nevada...my heart is with this program FOREVER...win or lose!
Well bless me Irish soul....sitting in Belfast with a distant cousin ....showing him what real Football is like....He's Smiling, and buyin me a Drink......Had Bobby Sands had heard this ...he'd be drinkin with us....
There is one thing about the Irish and it has something special there and I don’t know were it is and I went on the field on my 2nd grade field trip and right when I walked on that field I knew something was there special and Notre Dame is one special collage GO IRISH
