This is the absolute best guide I have seen on this weapon. Truly good info beyond the basics that even the big channels failed to cover because they simply want to dish out as much content as possible without caring about the quality, quality you have surpassed here. You gained a sub for life from me

My favourite thing in action games is when characters uses unusual weapons, or at least uses things that are not obviously weapons(or impractical in real life) as gears. Like cards, a phone, umbrellas, folding fans

The last bit you mentioned about not using the glider dive in battle because it's slow. Try using the glider right after jumping off a spring. You move faster and you get a lot more turning control for a bit so you can position much easier.

so ive been using this weapon a lot and just some tech you missed I didn't see you use, so I'm not sure if you are aware of it. if you light attack right after the parry (on the ground or in the air) you will start spindance or aerial spindance and cancel the movement knockback. This is especially useful in the air, as the aerial spindance is good and aerial parry heavy follow up is not so much. You can also of course just immediately plunge to the ground after the momentum cancel and then do grounded combos. If you time it perfectly, you won't even hear the parry noise, but you'll notice the gauge went up and you got more stamina.

Doing a ground dodge before parrying carries over your s to parry frames, and it's great for more unfamiliar matchups. You can ground dodge up to twice in a row.

Definitely my favourite in the game right now, it looks insanely cool AND deals a ton of damage AND free parries! What more could you want from a weapon?

  • @cephuwu

You might already know this by now but you can hit Attack 1 after a whiffed parry to go for another parry or dodge
You can spam up to like 3 parries in a row, i use this a lot if i mess up a parry

The greatest disappointment with the Bladed Wagasa is the TINY damage it does on basic attacks even at full charge. It drastically limits your overall damage options since the biggest damage you have is the Spinning Throw.
The Parry is the biggest reason I keep using it, but a lot of the time I feel useless since missing parries means you don't get your damaging ability.

      Meant to add on:
Great tutorial. It covers a larger amount of detail regarding this weapon than most other channels that did a "Tutorial" Have been following you for a while now and I'm greatly satisfied with your tutorials. You don't skip details, no matter how small they may be.

Yea this weapon is extremely dependent on parrying. The early dmg is very low - there are certain monsters that this weapon shines vs others that make it very difficult to use.
Also thank you for the second comment. Much appreciated and I'm glad the extra details help!

I just wish the parry window was slightly longer at base. Like what Defender does now feels fine. The issue is mostly moving attacks, like as an early example sapscourge's roll.
If you had consistent moves like his clap, the parry is fine but rolling hitboxes are just UGH.

Does the gauge fill per hit or by damage? I cant really tell. With the basic attack. The first two hits barely give gauge with the last hits giving more and more damage. I might be crazy.

For me its really bad and I own a 3080ti...

    • @SkySenseiVB
      @SkySenseiVB  Рік тому +2

I've been okay honestly. I did turn a few of the settings down to a mix of medium and high. Its not like AMAZING. Like my 3070ti should be able to get better frames but I'm getting over 70 which is tolerable. They are saying they will do an optimization patch next week so hopefully it gets better for us! Make sure you have hardware acceleration turned off on Discord - It really affects it and ofc reduce other things on your computer that might be taking up resources.
