Awesome guide - thank you so much! Two notes - Destruction art does not actually affect boss HP, just part HP; this means that while parts are easier to destroy, you aren't actually doing more damage to the boss, just breaking off a part easier. - One Stroke: Fury only lasts 10 seconds or so; it may be better to replace it with something else as a result
Hey ms finished watching your video on WH and I have to say, it was absolutely amazing! The level of detail and expertise you put into breaking down the different strategies was impressive. As a huge fan of the game myself, I could tell that you have a true passion and enthusiasm for it. Your ability to explain the mechanics in a way that is easy to understand is truly admirable. I highly recommend your channel to any Monster Hunter fan,/wild hearts fan or anyone looking to improve their gameplay. Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see more of your videos! After watching this one, I'm definitely subscribing to your channel. i feel that video spam to!
Getting a free parry charge from the star bomb and double dodge leading into a combo are some of the more niche things the game doesn’t make obvious but can come in so handy.
Just like to point out something you missed - when you reach the orange section of your meter, tapping circle to dodge followed up with square for light attack will make you do a spinning uppercut similar to the glider move-set. The parry bomb technique is definitely something I'll start doing now though!
Ooohh the Wagasa....We have a very special relationship lol a hate - love special relationship xD From sometimes flying up randomly after following a parry, sometimes parry doesn't go to Trey Star combo and instead the hunter just those a cool pose and sometimes not getting any parry inputs after pressing R2 (I'm convinced it has to be the PS5 controller, maybe needs an update.) Nonetheless is become my main weapon with the Katana for my second main. Fun fun
Another thing is for learning parry windows, you literally just gotta smash your head against a wall and trial and error the parry windows Once you whiff enough, you'll memorize the timings
As Charge Blade user from Monster Hunter, what slightly bothers me is that the Bladed Wagasa's parry animation very much looks like you're preparing your shield up for Charge Blade's Guard Point, lol. But it's definitely NOT. Took some time to get used to it. I wonder how much OP this weapon will be if the mechanics are more like guard point rather than perfectly timed parry. For the tips, somehow it's easier for me to parry the kemono's attack when I'm using focused camera (R3) since you can always see their movement, rather than the camera blocking your view every so often. Though the downside is you can't really aim specific part of kemono accurately. So it's better to use R3 just when you need it, then switch back to normal camera when you want to punish the kemono and/or you want to break their parts.
So I tried the umbrella over the wknd....and boy it did not go well lol. You mentioned a few tips here I didn't know tho, like springboard attacks filling the meter faster. I'll give it another go and maybe not focus on trying to parry everything lol
Keep in mind you don't have to parry every attack, most monsters have a mix of easy to read and hard to read attacks. Especially on a new monster, I usually take my time and slide through attacks until I get the feel for the monster, then parry the easy to read attacks. All your looking for is to stay in the orange bar as long as possible, and look super stylish of course!
What's already been said But also After 90 hours only using this The best way to learn is just not be afraid of dying. You gotta learn the parry windows by alot of trial and error
There is yea! I didn't notice that until later, really like that they allow you to stick with one weapon type but also build for kemono damage weaknesses as well as elemental
Awesome guide! I really need to pick it back up I lost the parry timing when I got to later Kemono but now I have faced them all I know their attacks so time to learn that timing!
a cool weapon^^ that can be a bit frustrating when you fight a new kemono :,D i went in 3 tries from 22 to 6 minutes at sporetail for example~ (same build) didnt think about the bomb technic yet, will be using that a lot i guess :D thx^^
Im at chapter 4 previously with katana and claw main, im in love with wagasa, starting to learn wagasa at chap 4 is reaaally2 a bad idea, hence i start new game and maining wagasa, worst part is i have to travel the whole map to find all the ? On the map
I mean... I have never parried with it and I wreak shit with it.. like I came here to learn how to use it. But I was still killing shit with it without knowing. Also jumping and using Square or Triangle will launch you and keep you in the air also.
Omg... look we all have our blind spots... I've put a quite a decent chunk of hours in this game so far and this whole time I thought the symbols for 'slash, pummel and lunge' meant the kemono was weak to nodachi, cannon and bow respectively
they have pretty lenient (imo good but that's opinion based) i-frame/dodge windows for most weapons when dodging, but the parry window itself is really small.
@Ms 5000 Watts hey how did you get the name Ms 5000 Watts?? If you dont mind me asking... does it have anything to do with Howard the Duck? Inquiring minds would like to know....

How do you double dodge?
Secondary atk after successful parry (you lunge forward up to 10 hits) > secondary atk again you lunge again.
@@MedChicken you can also abuse dodge i-frames for guaranteed parries mid dodge
im getting flashbacks to strongarm stance in sunbreak

Oh yeah I didn't mention that huh? I freaking love that move lol thanks for this
I love the wagasa! so satisfying hitting the parry
Picked up the wagasa right after watching this video the amount of fun I am now having is illegal and the guide is fantastic
Oh yay! this makes me so happy
Best guide I've seen on the tube.
Oh man thank you so much that means a lot!
THANK YOU!!!!! I've been looking for parry window extender ^^
Ayyy! It really does help a lot
@@Ms5000Watts yeah, I actually managed to solo fuembeak thanks to that skill

yep, i have to fight monsters several times and wipe just to learn the fight QQ but when you get the timing down pat on a hunt, sub ten easy,
After a parry, you have about a slide dodge worth of i-frames which can help with long combo strings (lahar back)
Good to know thank you!
Great guide. Best part is the fact you pronounced "Karakuri" correctly every time 😂❤
My Japanese family would truly abandon me if I didn't at least try lmao

the air combo is also really good at getting meter fast

@@imposter-San100% it's easy to forget this, especially after a few good hunts where you feel like a parry god.
I didn't realize the different physical types for wagasa. on top of the pummel wagasa there's also a slash wagasa on the right side of the tree
There is yea! I didn't notice that until later, really like that they allow you to stick with one weapon type but also build for kemono damage weaknesses as well as elemental
That parry windo is annoying but even with dodge master at 70% & instincts parry it's hard af to parry
Awesome guide! I really need to pick it back up I lost the parry timing when I got to later Kemono but now I have faced them all I know their attacks so time to learn that timing!
There is also a slash wagasa so one for each type

🐺🐻⚔This game is awesome, but I hope that they can fix it's tech issues with the new update coming soon.
I hope so, they have the march free update adding a new monster so I'm excited to see that!
ah yes a wagasa user
WELCOME TO LAMBRELLA ACADEMY
I love this weapon but for whatever reason I can dodge like a champ but trying to parry..... I turn into Patrick star jr
they have pretty lenient (imo good but that's opinion based) i-frame/dodge windows for most weapons when dodging, but the parry window itself is really small.
2 words: TREY STAR!
We need this on ps4 already
