This guide is actually well covered. Some little tips I’d like to add are: 1:08 There’s actually a Claw Exclusive Talisman (Claw Master, it’s also an inherited skill in thw skill tree as well, idk if it stacks though) that appears in the first area starting Chapter 3 that will give you a good boost to your gauge(You can get full gauge at 60% charge and then pressing your F/R2 button) 8:03 If you’re constantly aggressive, you’ll typically need at least half gauge in order to get your finisher off 8:24 You can cancel most/if not all attack animations including the finisher by jumping. That being said, you can readjust where you can do your finisher to get more hits in if you happen to miss your initial winged crescent, this initial winged crescent last a longer and than if you were to not have the finisher (Note: you need enough gauge for readjusting)
Excellent well done video. You lit that fire inside to try using the claw blade. Been using the mail which I love but man that aerial freedom is Awesome. Keep it up.
Spring attacks fills gauge half way if you hit the whole combo which isnt hard and its better way then tring a jump attack next to the kemono and can start a disengage if you need too. One big tip missed with phase 2 is you can continue to do a transition attack from "X" to a "Y" and just jump cancel before final lunge so you can do a longer combo with less down time between attacks
if you hit all three hits when spring+Y(heavy) you actually gain half the gauge. I usually do that to close the gap (gain 50% gauge) then jump + few light attacks then claw. pretty quick
There is also a neutral Attack 1 where there is no movement, just don’t put any direction when attacking. It’s best when you tether a weak spot so you get every hit on a weak spot instead of moving in and out of weak spots.
@Khaild just go raw damage the crits aren't that high enough to warrant going for the tree. End game boss the attack is lower and only has like 5 percent crit the 4 star wolf has 20 crit max or 25 and u only get like 5 percent crit to transfer over. Also destruction art does not add damage u just break parts better.

Actually you can detach from monster while attached in air into a glider
How?
My brother does this and be moving like crazy
which path should i go on the weapon tree?
Sorry but I'm still going through the trees so I'll update you guys when I find a set few to recommend!
I think for claw we can go Max Crit or Max destruction art or elemental. I havent got time to build elemental to test out.

RIP claw blade.
