Weebill 3 is out ! I’m surprise that you didn’t review it since weebill S was the gimbal that kick up the channel! Would like to see a comparison between the RS3 and the weebill 3.
It is comming up. I have been testing the weebill 3 and was live on Focus Nordic event today. I am not impressed with the weebill 3. The weebill 3 is a replacement for the weebill 2 and not for the weebill S. An updated version of the weebill S comming up. I will soon post a video.
Nicely done Peter! Yup, the axis locks are a good addition. Anything that makes the job of using a gimbal easier is welcome.
Does the Falcam F38 DJI Plate also work with the RS3? Including the adjustable knob
Yea. Both RS3 and Pro
RS3 lost one good feature compared to RSC2 - the ability to turn itself into a briefcase / underslung mode, without the need to mount a handle. Well, battery is detachable (albeit handle too short), autolock, better display, better stabilizer. But still no active tracking?
I think there is active track if you buy the razareye

Stabilization is not different than the rsc2...it's all marketing
Rs2 or rs3 as an update? Sony fx3 and 24-70. Is the gimbal smoother than the rs2?
Can any one help. Looking at getting possibly this gimble. Are there max lens lenghs that can’t be used. I’m not looking at shoving on a Heavy 600mm lens. But the tamron 35mm to 150mm with a Sony a7iv

I am buying my first camera gimbal, would you suggest RSC2 combo with RavenEye or RS3? If RS3 is the way to go, is the combo worth it even though it no longer includes RavenEye? Seems like the arm that comes with RS3 combo is helpful.
Not sure if putting the camera to sleep to go low with RSC2 would become a pain or if it’s no big deal.

I could not get the pen lock to work when i point to the object the camera goes to the left and right in all 3 modes even though i do click the lock button thanks

Will the 24-70 s pro + s1h balance and clear on the rs3, or would you need the rs3 pro for that setup? I know you said the 24-70 s pro worked on the rsc2 in a previous video.

Hey question. Is there a way to make the gimbal feel more… organic? Almost as if using a steadicam? I’m looking for a less robotically smooth motion and more organic to how my body actually moves the gimbal. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Yes. If you lower the settings you can achieve some form of glidecam look. You can find my settings for the RS2 in the description. Update for RS3 and pro is coming up soon.

Yes, I would love to hear an update on your accessories. I was all set to purchase all of the RSC2 accessories, (and the RSC2)…but now I’ll be purchasing the RS3. Will your past Ulanzi, Small Rig options still work?

Yes I have used the side handle for years and it is amazing. Yes I will be testing the lidar module when it arrives.

The weebill S is cheaper. But if you got cash enough for the Rs3 I would take it.
I think your desk needs a better stabilization system!
Is the battery mount the same as the RS2? I ask because that would being able to use the accessories I already have for the rs2.
Yes you can use any rs2 accessories for the rs3 as well as the battery girp.
i need someone to test the payload of the rs3. Will it hold more than the rsc2? My fx3 with tilta cage and stock tophandle/xlr mic does not balance. I have to use a smaller rode mic to make it work.
It will deffently hold you FX3 with a cage, but will be to high with the top handle on.
Will an S1H in a SmallRig cage fit on the smaller RS3?
I have the RS2 and the new features of the RS3 Pro are cool, but not enough for me to upgrade. Maybe next year when some used ones hit the market.
If you already have the rs2 you already have an amazing gimbal.

Bro I like that you are excited about the auto-locking feature but you never mentioned if the stabilization has improved or not. it is the main function......
No matter what gimbal you buy today, it has great stabilization. Therefore I focused on the new features that makes this gimbal stand out. I will make more videos about the gimbal but the stability is great.

A gimbal is a gimbal. Any will give you smooth footage and if you're not getting then register for his course
I dont know what to buy, the DJ RS2 or DJ RS3 ... (ps I need the focus motor) Help me.
You can use the follow focus motor with the rs3. If you don't need the bigger rs2 I would take the rs3
aside from this, which gimbal as of now also have a manual locking features that lessen the burden when switching camera or lens without turning off the gimbal power?
You don't need to turn off the power with the DJI RS2. You only put the motors in sleep mode by double tapping the power button.
Hi peter, thanks for a great video but im finding it hard to decide between the 2Gimbals , my set up is a Canon R6 and a 24/70 L lens with adapter, would the RS3 be able to handle this set up, Thanks in advance
Hi. I can easily fit my S1H with a 24/70mm on the RS3. So if yors isn’t bigger that that and you don’t need the wireless module. The RS3 is perfect. It is my favorite gimbal of the two. Size, weight, functionality is amazing.

Does the combo version come with the lidar and monitor?
Isn't the monitor on the RS3 in the way for the gimbal arm? Does it hit the monitor? Also, how much weight can the RS3 (not the pro) carry? Is it still 3 kg?
Hi! does the quick release base can be used with other arca Swiss plates? Like smallrig cages with integrated arca?

I do not like the weebill 3. It is badly designed. Video is in the making.
Great video Peter, is the rs3 lighter and more compact than the weebill s ? Its important for me to be able to fit it inside my camera bag.. ( i believe the rs 3 detaches in 2 parts) would u recommend it over the weebill s, is it tine for an upgrade, if yes why?

Hi, The RS3 is super light and the handle is detectable. I fits in all of my camera bags. The auto lock feature is the best thing ever. a much as i love the weebill s I have to say that the RS3 blows it out of the water. Zhiyun have to make an updated version of the weebill S to keep up with DJI.

@@MichaelBouhnikProductions a gimbal is a gimbal..any gimbal will give you smooth footage. I have seen alot of smooth footage from a glibecam. Technique is more important.. alot of real estate videographers still use the old ronin s

I bought the RS3 not too long ago and I love it, however I am having an issue with it. When I connect my GH5 to the RS3 using the USB-C cable I can use all the functions like the record button and focus dial on the gimbal, but after a few minutes it disconnects. Has anyone else had this problem? I can't seem to solve it even with the help of DJI tech team.

don't think the regular rs3 comes with a briefcase handle. can you buy it separately?
No you need the combo. I just ordered the smallrig back handle to test it. I think it could be the better solution.

You should not. It is not worth it. It is not a Weebill S update. It is still to come. It replaces the Weebill 2. I am not impressed.

Hi Peter, for the past few years you've been my main guide concerning updates and settings on my beloved Weebill-S 🙏✨
Now for the last 2 months I actually switched to the DJI RS3, and what a bad surprise to see that pretty much ALL my footage of this summer have a very weird wobble to it oO
I use the same exact setup: Sony A7III with either the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 G2 or the Zeiss 16-35mm f/4 and ND filters.
And there is this weird wobble on the roll axis, even though all axis are perfectly balanced, knobs are tight and lens support is in place 🤔
I tried "Normal" and "Supersmooth" mode and both are wobbly!
I have the feeling my old Weebill-s was doing a way better job...
Also, there is this weird behaviour when doing an orbit from tilt-down to tilt-up with a sudden acceleration of the pan and tilt axis that doesn't look anything natural and indeed very robotic (even with orbit assistance On in settings).
What is your opinion about it?

Hey Peter, I've never used a gimbal before and I purchased the RSC 2 last week after watching your videos. My question is, should I keep what I have and learn while saving $100 or do I return it and buy the R3 with the upgraded feature?
I like the removable battery and quick lock and unlock features. Also I'm not a big fan of the briefcase mode ( cracking it open in half) on the RSC 2.

If you can, the return it and get the rs3. It is amazing.
After much consideration, you will be better off returning the rsc2 for the rs3. The buillt in lithium battery is big con even though from my experience, the battery on the rsc2 seems to be stronger than the rs3.

Hi Peter, I m thinking about upgrading from the weebill S, but an important thing about the way I shoot is : when I want the camera to tilt up or down, I press the trigger button and then aim my wrist up or down. Then when I release the trigger button, it stays aimed up or down the way I left it... Could I use the RS3 that way?
