A high-school friend of mine before he died in car crash put a turbo 4 cylinder in his mustang. It came out of a thunderbird and with mods was quick as hell.
I know that this is almost two years later i could have a 88 crown Vic needs a trans for $550 over in Ohio around Cincinnati about 6 months ago but I still think if I get a non mustang ford panther platform car i want a 95-98 ford 5.0,4.6,5spd Thunderbird... prefer the green metallic or the prarl blue..
You'll have to pull the glass to weld the new piece in. NEVER weld or grind around glass.. it'll ruin your windshield.. I've done it. And weld can actually shatter the glass from thermal shock.
When I was a freshman in high school my dad got a Ltd wagon, with the jump seats in the rear that faced each other. Instead of arguing shotgun we argued about the back. Lol

That's a fact. I dropped a 71 short deck 460 into my 78 Fairmont with the stock single core radiator.. Effectively the same radiator in Craigs's Mustang. I ran that car all over So Cal and AZ in the summer, with AC running, and the only time I'd get over 190 was if I was hammering on it hard or trying to cruise over 75mph. Traffic was never an issue. I can assure you there is no way a 302 is putting out that sorta heat just cruising around unless its got serious problems. I'd love to see him check that radiator face with an infrared gun.
@@vernm6189 I'd expect more than running hot from a screwed up headgasket. Usually steam from the exhaust, unexplained coolant loss, and sudden temp spikes. My vote is either a plugged radiator or an incorrect/failing water pump.
You may have addressed this elsewhere, but hearing the exhaust in this video, I wanted to ask, what is your exhaust setup on the fox? I’m dropping a 302 in my pickup and would like a similar noise level and tone.

That Duplicolor Color Match paint generally sucks the bag. I got some for my Ford truck and it was an absolutely awful match...and the nozzles sucked also. The generic Duplicolor spray paint is so much better.
dont weld anywhere near glass. take it from my mistake. u may think ur not gna hit it with sparks but they find their way to it. sparks make pits in it. grinder sparks and weld sparks are not the same. take the glass out or find a way.
I was ready to scream when I saw that square body hacked up, had to keep telling myself that the parts went to a better truck. That Foxbody in Craig’s hands is gonna be a really nice piece one of these days.
West coast is great for OBS Ford trucks. I own one here in Toronto, Canada...where it's absolutely impossible to find these things anywhere. They are very up here...due to rust. Way too much salt used on roads and sidewalks and parking lots. I have no choice but to buy everything new....or just fix rust problems with welding and bondo.
Make sure if it has the plastic inserts in the wiper arm cups you save them. If you break or wear one out they are hard to find. Not on all years of mustangs but I need it on one and had to cobble it together because couldn't find one

@@Ares-jx4ep in the SBF you can flip the head gasket, that will block off the water at the back of the head and will make it run hot.
