In this video we walk you thru a private car collection hidden in the woods. I was told that there are 4000 vehicles hidden on this property. How many can we save? There is a little bit of everything in this collection from Chevy, Dodge, Ford, Japanese, and European cars. Vehicles from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. It is really incredible the amount of cars and trucks that we got to see there. I hope you like it.

Was this in Arkansas?

@@mgomez9736 Right that's the only thing I'm wondering, Where is this, & are there still vehicles available for purchase????? @sleeperdude
In 1 year time I could save probably 60% or better of those cars and trucks. There seems to be enough donors in there. Get them ready for someone else to restore maybe get some running. Just need Forklift that will drive on that ground. Chainsaw, Common tools a dumpster and Lots of cases of Wasp spray. I'd be willing to do it too. Just split the money of what gets sold. I've done this before with a junk yard that shut down in 79 So you can imagine what kinda cars were in there. There was around 3k. Took a year then too. The owner was able to make more money that way.
Call me crazy but the old I want to say 70's van with the original heart shaped windows in the opening pics definitely caught my eye. 👊
I know right
@@Sleeperdude just got to it in the video around 7:35 mark. It's the Dodge with the bubble top as well. That thing is killer cool with the paint just the way it is to.
@Sleeperdude at the 14:47 mark, the white car that is seen has the same engine as the mustang svo and Thunderbird turbo coupe.
I love that one
Me too!!
This place brought back a lot of memories.. I worked in auto wrecking yards. A little over 20 years ago. I loved every minute of it. The worst part was wanting to save theme all. I'll never forget coming home every day. Covered in grease from head to toe. Smelling like dead gas and gear oil. I loved those days!
Yeah I used to work in one too I loved it
Any cars you saw that be worth money now? 😂
What was that place
Josh, thanks for putting in the effort to take us along I really enjoyed watching. I used to walk the junk yards for hours looking for interesting finds.
Your welcome
@@Sleeperdudeseeing Tosh looking for a truck was priceless. You are a lucky man.
I was a teenager when most of those cars were new. I remember back then every supermarket and shopping mall parking lot were filled with them. Watching this really took me back to those days. Hard to believe that some of those cars are 40 or more years old now......
Yeah takes me back to being a kid too
Back when I was 7-8, and my grandpa was still around, he showed me this beautiful studebaker wagon he had had for almost 30 years at this point. He was the one who got me into cars at all when I was little, and I haven’t seen another wagon in that good of shape since! Tons of great memories sitting inside of it, talking to grandpa, and wishing I could drive it around. Thanks for showing the trip through that yard!
That’s awesome
It's the memories that make old cars so special; thanks for sharing!
That sounds like a great memory :)
Hey Josh thanks for taking us on your junkyard crawl ! I like station wagons too. They have more style than any suv. So many cool cars and trucks to bad you can't save them all!
I know right thank you
I Love Station Wagons Too! ❤️
@@Sleeperdude hey dude get some fox body mustangs for alot of the parts interchange with the fairmont you bought even the v8 and speeder transinterchange
This was mind boggling. I have so many questions about this place, how it got started, what's happening now, etc. - I also can't imagine what it was like to see it in person. It seems like you couldn't have seen it all, and that must have been frustrating. Amazing video - much appreciated.
I think they used to have a wrecker service and then eventually just became a private collection. I have been three times and keep finding cars
I’m late commenting but I wondered the same thing. I also wondered why didn’t the owner part out or sell them sooner…if a tree grows through it it’s time to let it go haha
Also did you see the Blair Witch
This was an amazing find. I grew up in the Detroit area, so even though I don’t know too much mechanically about cars, I can I.D. quite a few. I saw one Citation and one Beretta. It’s nice to see a young guy like you appreciating station wagons. I’ve always loved them myself, my folks had a fully loaded 1974 Country Squire. My mom hated it SO much, after a few years my dad granted her wish of buying a new 77 Cougar. I wish I still had it because it was the rare 4 door Cougar Brougham. Also for 77, the HIGHLY rare Cougar wagon, a one year release that you can’t find easily today. If there was a Corvair wagon, I would hope you would have gotten that as well. Good luck with your project, I hope you can restore it in my lifetime. We’ll probably only be able to buy one more wagon ourselves. We always buy used, currently driving a 2018 VW Alltrack. It’s the finest wagon we’ve ever had. Perhaps our next one will be a Volvo.
Wow that’s a cool story, my dad had wagons and so did my grandma
I bet every one of us watching this video wished we could've walked through there too. I disagree, there was a lot of everything in those woods.
Yes
if those hondas were sand cast you just walked buy some big money the first four cylinders were sand cast 1969 start calling you wake up dude lol
Wished I was there. 😀
Really cool! Makes you feel like we are there with you looking at all those old girls.Happy you got the station wagon and saved her from the crasher!
Yes thank you
Incredible channel! Keep up the good work. I discovered your videos when I was searching for anyone who has done work on a 1980 Malibu. I just inherited my uncles 2 door coupe with a 350, it’s been garaged for the last 16 years. Watching you bring one back to life gave me some a lot of hope. Thanks, definitely subscribed!
That’s awesome thank you
Cool! I love junk yards. All the old yards with the '20's-'50's cars have basically disappeared. Now it's '60's- '80's cars. My brother had a Ford Fairmont sedan for many years. Very reliable. Good luck with it!
I do too, you are right
Josh you were in auto heaven with all that rusty gold you looked at, and glad you saved one, and hope you get the others too. Great video, and loved seeing you and the wife checking out the cars together. It wasn’t an easy thing to get it out of the woods, but you did well buddy. Love the family and the values you show to your wife and kids.
Thank you so much

Yeah it was overwhelming, thanks for watching
“Save us please”!
The '77-79 Thunderbird caught my attention. Love those Torino-birds
Yeah they are cool
Absolutely amazing!
One Can only imagine how long it takes to amass a collection like that!
Thanks for sharing the experience 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for watching
That was a dream site for old cars its a shame many of them were not saved decades ago. I could spend a few hours looking around in there also but its gut retching to see all those old cars being crushed. Thanks Josh for taking us along with you and your Wife on this golden journey down classic car lane. All the best to you and yours, peace.
Thank you
It IS sad how easily cars were wasted in the past. For a few hundred dollar repair. It reminds us how we got to where we are today. Chip shortage, record high transaction prices, the rise of the buy here, pay here lot, & most cars OUT of production. Just a waste.😞
From a full size Ford Wagon Guy - I worked with a guy who had bought a Fairmont wagon the same color as yours brand new. It was stolen but recovered in Hartford , Ct. back in 1981.
That’s cool
This has to be one of your best videos to date. Love the way you buy cars with a genuine passion to save them! Great your wife has a proper interest too👍👍
Thank you I appreciate it
I feel you for the sadness of seeing all of those throw in the trash bin. It always break my heart.
Yes it was an experience for sure
There were quite a few Datsun Z's out there! They go for a premium in any condition here in California. Thanks for taking the time to show us this mass of cars.
Thanks for watching
If you have money, it really buys you happiness by restoring these classics! 17 me is envying right now...😅
Thanks for taking us along. I love the wagons too, especially the Datsun 510.
Thanks for watching
What an amazing place. Ty for bringing us along. That wagon was a great choice. I once did one with a 289 and switched it over to standard using pedals from a mustang. All I had for a trans was a 3 sod with overdrive and the car had the stock rear. But I could see the potential in building a sweet sleeper. One day I’ll grab another
Thank you
that was a wonderful video Josh. I don't know where to begin, all of the old cars and trucks were wonderful to see and the family excitement being involved is priceless. and not to forget the beautiful animals and vienna sausages. ✌
Thank you I’m glad you liked it
As an old guy. Watching this I lost count of how many of these cars and trucks I have owned over the years …as it was playing .. yup there’s one I owned. And that one. … and that one …. Lol. Brought back a lot of memories….. thanks !
Really know how to make a man feel old. Most of those cars was on the road when I was growing up. My dad used to pile the family in the old 65 Ford Galaxy Station wagon I think and drive for hours. Thanks for the memories.
Good memories
Thanks for the tour. I could spend all day walking around there. Lots of cars that bring back lots of memories.
Yes thank you
You’re right this really saddens me when they just stacked them up and crushed them I agree I wish I could save them all too.
WOW!! MIND BLOWN! So sad, such a waste of some very nice cars! Glad you could rescue a few. Great video Josh!
Thank you
I cruised the Southern Maine Beaches many times in my buddies Fairmont wagon. Nostalgic morning. I dare say there's plenty of room to squeeze Godzilla in there! Thanks for sharing this with us. ✌
That’s cool, thanks for watching
So many awesome vehicles there. Loving the Ford Festivas, which we called the Fiesta in the UK. They are making decent money this side of the pond. Great purchase!
Ok cool thank you
That is fantastic! We had a very similar situation here in NH, it was posted on a lot of the popular classic car facebook pages. I had been up prior before the owner passed, quite the collection. Was able to come home with a '59 Plymouth Savoy last tuesday from that yard. Can't wait to get started.
That’s awesome
What town in NH? I’m in Maine. Would love to check that out.
Each one of these cars has a story and had a life Once upon a Time.. walking to these Woods it's like walking back in time,, time traveling.. I seen some old vehicles that I remember being in when they were new brand new..
Thank you for the nostalgic trip to the woods
That’s true thank you for watching
The 70's datsun hatchback. My mom had one when I was a little kid it got 50 miles to the gallon! I would love to have one for nostalgia sake. That car was my childhood.
Josh that junkyard is like Heaven on earth. So many neet cars so many memories from past. Thank you God Bless

Great channel! The Falcon frame and powerline were the foundation for the Mustang, so no Falcons past 1963 and no Mustangs prior to '64. My first car was a '61 Falcon Wagon and I loved it. Wish I could find one.
I would love to walk through a car collection like that. So amazing to see all those cars! Wish you would have saved something other than all the fairmonts. But you like what you like and I can't knock you for that! Thank you for saving them at least 👍🏻👍🏻💙

Hello from north tx. Great find. Love those fairmounts. Me and the wife had two baby boys in 1978 and we traded in a Vega wagon on a fairmont wagon with the 302. Was maroon color and spoke hub caps. I think we paid 4 thousand for it we loved it except it had the variable Venturi carb. Always had trouble with it. Love your family. You and your wife are raising kids like they should be. Keep those video’s coming.
Thank you
Hey Josh appreciate you taking us along, a bit of advice for you, they have plastic wedges they're called skates I used them in the towing industry they wedge right under the tires (casings) 🙃 looks to me like you need a set.
I will check into them
The only thing is they only work on wheels that are stuck and won't roll.
Well seems that’s all we get
You can also use plastic cafeteria trays
I had a 68 type 3 VW wagon once. The early ones were cool because the back end slanted forward more than the 70s. They had a computer like thing in the left rear fender well, we called the brain box made by Bosch. When the box would go bad, you couldn't find a replacement. Many of them got converted back to regular carb systems. It was noticeably faster than the old regular 40hp. It was really fun car to tinker with.
I think it was already clear during your courtship, but it's so nice to share a passion with loved ones. Your wife and kids are as great as you are.
Yep I am blessed
There was a Thunderbird grill I saw and those Cougars were cool. Man, lots of cool cars and trucks....sensory overload! 🤯 I remember riding in my grandma's 1978 Fairmont sedan, it was tan color, sitting in the back with my cousins. Those were good times. Thanks for taking us along, Josh! I can't wait to see the Fairmont running and driving. 👍
You like the same stuff I do, thanks for watching

Josh and his wife must really love restoring old cars and trucks to go to that junkyard...tick heaven. Anyway, glad you found some good Fairmonts.
This is my Graceland! I could spend hours in this place. I saw a nice early 70s Oldsmobile. I think it was a 98. I would save that one for sure. Great video, Josh. Watching from NC.

I was raised on Vienna sausage. Cut them in half on white bread with mayo. Love them. Potted meat also.
Breaks my heart to see all those cars crushed. Thanks for saving some.
You were raised like me
I love that L-Series international pickup, my first ever vehicle was a '51 International L110 my grandpa bought for $100, it sat in a pasture for at least 30 years, but fired right up with barely any work, it looked identical to that one
Wow that’s cool
Amazing all these cars were just left to rot.
Great video, love the car junkyard walk throughs hearing the crusher in the background made me feel like we had to hury to find the good cars before he scooped them up and they were gone. Also cracked up at the Baby hand in there again. You will have to make that a regular deal now. Your wife is a trooper walking around there and hunting for cars. I used to work at a car lot. Ford door locks don't like to just sit. Give those locks a big shot of penetrating oil and try the big ring of keys again. Great video!
Yeah good idea
Gosh!! This video was a real treat to watch! I also love the Ford Mercury and Lincon fox bodies. I wish you took home the 81-82 t-bird. I own an 82 Mercury cougar four door, hopefully one day will get to restore, we bought it 33 years ago. Also looking out for a Fairmont futura. Great job!
Sounds like we like the same stuff thanks for watching
Man, that's a walk down memory lane. Time stamp 17:12 , The 1974 Plymouth Duster is My Favorite. I bought one for $700 when I was 15, Dad and I restored the Engine (Slant 6) and My Grandpa (who reupholstered school buses) Helped me Go through the interior. Worked out a deal with a local Painter and got it Painted Glossy Black for just the cost of Paint after a few side jobs he needed help with and if I done the Body work (With his guidance). Put Progressive Directional Rims and Uniroyal Tiger Paws on the Ground. It was a Running Dude. Miss that one.

Yes my dad and grandpa use to have trucks. Cars all over. My grandfather passed away and between family fudes and all they just went away. I use to sit on those old cars for summers on end. And they are mostly gone now. Just the smell of those interiors probably turn most off but it's years of history i love it. I'm looking for a project like this
I love fairmonts also. Have had 4 over the last 35 years. Still have 1 survivor coupe that's been in my garage for thirty years. Thanks for saving them

Volvo at 14:35 is exactly like my '68 wagon that I had for 10 years as my daily driver. Even the same interiour. Fantastic cars!
I'd almost pay just to walk through there and look at all the old stuff. Its amazing that there are still places like this all over America that are just hiding away classic cars. Shame that most of them are left to rot like this. My Dad did this to me with the truck he gave me in highschool. He let it sit and rot for 20 years and refused to let me do something with it. Finally got it back from him last fall and me and my three boys are getting it road worthy again. Would love to have that 80-86 f series wrecker.
Yeah it’s really cool you wouldn’t know it was there from the road
There is actually a place in GA called “old car city” where you can do exactly that.
The stories some of those vehicles could tell! Love going to old yards like this. I had a '68 olds DELMONT 88 my son and I scoured Long Island NY junkyards looking for caps and marker lights and such. Cool video. Yeah I bet
Dentside too, always a market for that lol...
The wagon you got needs a 390 or 429/460 and C6 from one of those cars that has too much rust. Did they have any slings on those wreckers? Be cool to put on the 3 point on the 2N for moving your fleet. Love to have that 70 or 71 Torino wagon. Thanks for taking us along.
That would be cool, yeah I love the wagons

Yes, it makes a noise, but only the mice, rats, and raccoons get to hear the metal creak and rust as the tree grows and destroys the vehicle.
Is the property owner allowing others to rescue cars? I would love to learn more about saving some more of these cars
Unfortunately he does not want me to share the location
I had a '79 Fairmont 2 door with a 6 in it, I'll never forget one really late night in downtown SLC a few buddies and me were just cruising around and outta nowhere some crazy dudes were riding our tail, like really riding it, had terrible vibes, anyway long story short that 6 surprised the hell outta me, my buddies and the crazy car behind us because we ultimately wasted it. He worked on some and sold parts of some and then he was sick for a while so I’m sure he had good intentions
Man I hate comments like yours, think about the fate of these cars had he not saved and parked them!!! If your so worried why don't you buy all of them and put them in a giant climate controlled building. This guy did everyone one of these cars a favor and saved them from the crusher.
@@bigworm6200 did them a favour by parking them in the woods to slowly rot away...pfft👍🏻. Great comment.
@@stuartkarshagen6274 like I said, why don't you just save the day and buy them all.
@@bigworm6200 Your comments kinda dumb, just because this guy cant afford to buy them all doesnt mean the hoarder saved those cars, sure he saved a few that were sold last minute but all the ones that got crushed he only prolonged their death since either way they ended up crushed whether that was 40 years ago or now... id be willing to bet that he was the type of guy to say they aint for sale whenever someone wanted to buy one thus them ending up rotting to their death which is mostly always the case with these hoarders, infact there are three guys near my town just like that, hundreds and hundreds of classic cars rotting in the woods but they refuse to ever sell any, they aint saving them they are infact killing them by never selling any since like it or not the reality is they will never get around to restoring them all and when they die their family basically always ends up scrapping everything.

Man; that red 67 Galaxie looked sweet. I'd love to get that and that Galaxie wagon. Living here in Nava Scotia, Canada you never come across old iron like those anymore and if you do they are so rusted out you can't do a thing with it. My Parents bought a 67 Galaxie two door with a 390 brand new back in 67 grabber blue with a white top that car would lay rubber for as long as you kept your foot into it. Love what your doing keep it up and I'll keep watching.
Thank you so much yeah they are pretty awesome
I'm like you I also like those fox body platforms. When I was 19 I had bought a mercury Zepher two door just like your fairmont same body style but I think here in Canada it was sold as a mercury Zepher. I love those fox body platforms because you can do so much with them. Can't wait to see what you do to yours. You and I definitely think the same because every vehicle you said was cool or you liked I said the same thing or picked it out just before you mentioned it.
That 75 Fury was just like mine 😃. Love the old Dodge Magnum too. If I was a millionaire, I'd be buying and saving most of those cars. I LOVE videos like this. I miss going to old junkyards. I think I actually heard that one Fairmont say "thank you!". Lol. There's actually a portion of woods very close to here with acres and acres of old cars (even model T's), but it's all off limits. 😔
Yeah I wish we could have saved more
