    I have one of these!
    But from the original creators.
Even the packing on these is the same as the original.
But the original brand has other designs.

Similar to the Lemur Fold, but different in one important way. The flap that's getting folded over at timestamp 0:47 separates the two compartments that snap closed. The Lemur Fold doesn't have that flap, and so when you open the snapped compartment on the front, or you open the snapped compartment on the back, you're actually getting access to the same compartment. The Crazy Horse Craft wallet has one more compartment than the Lemur Fold has.

Definitely like the design of this wallet. Unique and simplistic, while the carry is minimal. Thanks for the review, Mark.

I have the new design with two snaps on the back and it's awesome! And the feel and the smell... Shorter flap on the back makes it easier to get in there to get cards. Coins goes in with the bills and does not fall out by accident but very easily slides out when you want them.

So much possibility for this wallet, can even put cash in the card slot in front and can slide a card under that flap for a quick access.

While the Lemur wallet is a great piece of handcrafted art, this one has more folding element on the inside (the one wrapping around the inside tab) that provides two separate compartments with more room to store different things. I agree that this version (that's not sold anymore) looks quite similar to the Lemur (to be honest, all origami-style wallet do and it's pretty much impossible to say who came first these days haha), the new one is amazing and more unique tho. Also I prefer this product's leather, feels and smells amazing. Im carrying 10 cards plus cash & coins in this one without problems. But I think both products (and companies) are doing great.

@@MarvAttaxx You've invested the time to compare and contrast the design to what purpose? win a youtube argument or prevent copyright infringement? In my opinion a poor attempt on disguised legalese.
Small note, the LEMUR wallet has been here longer than the company itself advertised in this video. It's pretty easy and not quantum physics to state which one came first. Blatant copy of the main idea.

@@giorda77 I've never set foot into Lithuania nor am I affilated with this company in any other way. I'm just a customer who likes what he bought. Also I've never said anything negative about Lemur (on the contrary) and I've also shared the opinion that this version is quite similar to the Fold wallet. I have the new version and I feel it's different enough for both products to exist. Want something sleeker and slimmer, go with Lemur, want something more rustic looking with slightly more carrying capacity, maybe go with this one. Not interested in internet-arguments or legal issues or any other form of hostility, I just like wallets and I simply shared my experience.

The tightest you can get with his wrap around origami style is 8.4 x 5.4 cm - the size of credit card. But the sides of the wallet then have no room for the thickness of the material. Those with a front access pocket usually take the same internal space as the coin pocket. The coins can then slip out of the slot. The quick access slot also requires the wallet to be larger than strictly needed. On Etsy and elsewhere they are usually larger than 10x7 cm.
I tried variations in size 10x6.5 cm, 8.5x5.5 cm and settled on 9x6 cm to hold 8 cards, notes and coins. Although this is can be a tight fit the 15 mm depth has been sufficient for my needs. It is easy to make the depth 2cm or even 3cm if you need to carry a lot more.
I have one front over lap button clip and two on the back. Coins go into the front pocket so can be accessed from either side or the top. I open up all the flaps and place notes across three parts of the fold so they naturally curl around which helps with plastic EURO and Sterling (UK) notes. Out of cork leather and the three pop buttons the cost is under 6GBP (sheet size 28.5 x 20.5 cm) and takes perhaps an hour to mark out, cut with scissors and put in the pop buttons or use screw together studs (not as neat but fully usable and no special tools needed). You could make the same pattern using different grades (thicknesses) of leather or faux leather or vinyl.
I have used cork leather for over a year. It wears well and washes up like new with just a drop of dish washer or hand soap.

On this style it is very easy to drop coins into the wrong slot. There are variations on this theme with two clip down at either end that prevent coins or small litems like an micro SD card from dropping out.

    • @geraldmcmullon2465

      @@JSFrederic Variations include:-
      One side fold
One side and the tuck down over the top
      Two side folds
Front facing none, one and two slots (larger 10x12 cm size)
Coins ideally slip out on the side fold out or from the top flap.
The top flap means coins at the back (assuming both sides get clipped down).
The side folds are from the front and so it is the front compartment for coins and if that also has a quick access slit the coins can slip through.
Rear fold and button down can be 1/3 and 2/3, 50:50 or short double pop button either side.
Front flap can also be to the left or right, centre or double button.
With the designs having both sides buttoned down any of the separations can hold cards, notes or coins. I lay notes down on an unfolded wallet as the plastic notes in the UK and Europe don't crease easily. I can slide notes in by just unclipping top and a side. Removing just needs opening the top where 1/4-1/3 of the note is exposed.
I have made a number of variations and at different sizes and posted the patterns for anyone to make their own. Costs at most £10 and as low as £4 for materials.
