Loved the review and what a great looking wallet. Having been to Japan many times, I can assure anyone that may be curious, that coin holder of the wallet will last you approximately 1 transaction and then be full. You collect coins soooo fast over there when you're not used to them being as valuable as they are there.
Wow, this wallet couldn’t be any more perfect. It’s not for me exactly, but I know my dad will love this! He almost never uses card and still carries a very bulky wallet, so this really is a game changer Thank you so much!
Aw man, that price is really high. Shame cause I really like this wallet, since I like to bring coins along with cash bill and I'm not much of a card guy. Will definitely keep an eye on this wallet, in case I finally got the money to spare.
Hi again Mark, could you tell me if this wallet would fit an English £1 coin in the coin section please ? Ten Yen is far thinner I know. Otherwise I will buy the Abrasus small wallet, which looks like it will fit a £1 coin and some £20 notes. Again many thanks for your super helpful and professional reviews ! All the best John
Hi John, boy I wish I could test that. I've tried to hit a currency exchange booth several times of the past couple months as I've travelled to pick up some additional currency and coins and they've all been closed. Knowing that the 1 pound coin is 2.8mm thick it does appear to fit when I apply my digital measurement to it.
I can't fathom where people got the idea to call something like this a wallet. A wallet has individual slots of cards. I shouldn't have to be forced to stick all of my 7 cards in one spot. I need my ID and debit card regularly. I gotta pull every single card out if I just need one? Also, who tf has a single key that they're carrying around that needs to stick it in a dedicated slot in their wallet? You don't have car keys on you, no key ring? Just a pocketful of loose keys? Unless you live in Europe, a coin pouch is irrelevant. When I'm in the US, if the cashier goes to hand me less than 50 cents, I just tell them to keep it. Or, I bite the bullet and stick it in my pocket. It's not hard, and adding that stupid little compartment that holds 3 nickels and a quarter isn't saving anyone a whole bunch of ass pain.
Outside of the US, coins are used a lot, many of them. Japan is especially that way...still despite being heavily digitized. Same goes for the key. Most people use public transport and need a key for their apartment, or a backup for that key in the event their backpack/briefcase is stolen/lost, etc.
This isn't made for the US Market, where I live we don't carry ID because nobody asks and unlike in the US, nobody feels the need to have any more than two credit cards. Coins are worth a lot, five coins could easily add up to over 10 US dollars where I live. Public transport is so developed in some parts of the world that you don't need a car, so one key for your apartment is ideal to carry in your wallet.
I bought this wallet after watching this video. I love the clever design and was looking for something that was slick and could hold cash and coins. The recommendation for 5 flat cards is true, after inserting a 6th card, it gets incredibly difficult to remove any card at all and requires a fair degree of effort. If you do have no choice and must have a 6th card, I recommend using the cash wrap area behind the card slots so you can use the coin pouch to pinch the side of your 6th card. Going above 1 card in that area risks warping the leather. Be aware the 6th card won't be as secure as the other 5. All-in-all, I kind of wish it had a quick access card slot for a total of 6, but it's a good wallet. Definitely too pricey but I like it. Be aware that the cards will exhibit some wear and tear through peeling edges because of the need to push the cards out to access them!
When you put those dimensions up it broke my brain. Way too close to minimal card sleeves, and also not nearly as square as it looks in the video, so I had to look it up. Actual dimensions are 98mm x95mm x 7mm (when empty). Sanity restored. That's 3.86in x 3.74in x .28in for the folks confused by mm.
New subscriber! I really love the layout of this wallet. I'm still deciding whether I'd like the "slim" wallet or the "small" wallet since it has similar features of carrying cards, cash, and coins. Thanks for your thorough, yet concise reviews!
I have both and prefer the Abrasus small Wallet. Because it is incredibly compact and the coin handling is much easier than in the Abrasus thin wallet. But also a really nice wallet, no question.
Hey Mark! I was considering buying this wallet, but their website doesn’t give specifics concerning the leather; are you positive it’s full-grain? Thanks in advance!
Yes, it's a Japanese full grain, specifically Nume leather, which has been stamped with the pattern you see. On the original Japanese language site, it explains this, but isn't there on the English version which I put in the notes.
@@O_Rei they also use Buttero Italian leather. It depends on the model apparently as I look on the Japanese source site. Elsewhere they say "natural cowhide" which can mean a few things, but is the starting point of full-grain leather. superclassic.jp/?pid=16355432
hello, does anyone know whether this wallet can hold the 2 euro coins which are the largest european coins with Diameter: 25.75mm and Thickness: 2.20mm ???
I bought an Abrasus wallet thanks to the detailed review on your channel (was looking for a wallet that holds notes, cards AND coins) and I love it! Thanks for all that you do!
Any chance of doing a give away for this wallet, Japan current has a no international shipping with an undecided date to stop. Long shot but hey really like this wallet lol.
Great ask but no, we keep the majority of them for future comparisons, carry tests, etc. And yes, I’ve seen the same problem out of Japan, not sure why. Everywhere else is slow but still shipping.
If you have more cards, you can always buy their Slim Card Case (which can hold up to 10 cards) and attach it to this one, making it a 2-in-1 wallet. The concept is quite ingenious I must say.
How did you get it!? I tried to order it a couple months ago and they cancelled it since I'm in the US. I'm about ready to have a buddy in Japan buy it, then ship it to me.
Do you carry more cash than cards? Seems counter to where wallets are headed.
I love the innovative design and I do carry more cash than cards, are there any other "clever" and "cash focused" wallets which aren't as expensive?
When in Japan? Absolutely more cash than cards, and the hunt for the best way to carry brought me here.

It's so crazy how many coins you use and you have to have a good mix between ju-yen and hyaku-yen too, or you're stuck.
@@walletopia I tried getting all my co-workers to give me their 500¥ coins so they didn't add up on their desks. They never gave them to me. 🤣
ah your from the first world. lol
this is why whenever people go to japan, they have a completely separate coin zipper wallet.
I didn’t know I needed Wallet videos… now I’m obsessed with your videos!
Wow, this wallet couldn’t be any more perfect. It’s not for me exactly, but I know my dad will love this! He almost never uses card and still carries a very bulky wallet, so this really is a game changer
Thank you so much!
Glad you like it! Abrasus does make some unique wallets, all in the Japanese design style :)
Gorgeous wallet! Fun design
Yes, something you'd expect from a Japanese design, unique, clever and precise :)
Loved the intro in Japanese!
Thanks!
Indeed, a great one

Excellent Japanese pronounciation.
Thanks!

It fits the large 2 euro coins if that helps.
Is it rfid
This wallet would be so perfect if it just had a quick access slot in the back 😭

Are there any similar wallets that, like this one, can carry coins without becoming bulky?
I like this wallet. I can't see me ever using it, but I can appreciate a good wallet when I see it.
Thanks Paul!

We've got the "small" wallet on our purchase list, but haven't picked it up yet. I like the look of it.
I have both and prefer the Abrasus small Wallet. Because it is incredibly compact and the coin handling is much easier than in the Abrasus thin wallet. But also a really nice wallet, no question.

walletopia You see, their website says that the Nume leather is used only for the “Danbo” edition of the wallet! Isn’t that the case?

Wish there was an easy access slot for cards on the outside
Could you please review the MOFT Magsafe wallet? I know its a little out of the norm for you but youre the only dude I trust to review this stuff
This is actually smart design!
hello, does anyone know whether this wallet can hold the 2 euro coins which are the largest european coins with Diameter: 25.75mm and Thickness: 2.20mm ???
According to a written review I found: yes
I bought an Abrasus wallet thanks to the detailed review on your channel (was looking for a wallet that holds notes, cards AND coins) and I love it! Thanks for all that you do!
Where to buy?
Yoku dekimashita
Biggest pocket wallet ever 😁
What a lovely wallet; very well thought design.
It's certainly unique.

Do you think it can hold more than 5 cards. I carry 7
Not in the card slot. You could put some in the corner of the cash pocket area, but the card slot has a max of 5.
If you have more cards, you can always buy their Slim Card Case (which can hold up to 10 cards) and attach it to this one, making it a 2-in-1 wallet. The concept is quite ingenious I must say.
It can actually fit 7 cards, its about the max and adding more would get too tight, but with seven its still totally usable
Check out the Syrinx wallet. Just bougbt one for myself. Great wallet.
How did you get it!? I tried to order it a couple months ago and they cancelled it since I'm in the US. I'm about ready to have a buddy in Japan buy it, then ship it to me.
If you didn't use it to hold a key could you get two more cards into the key pocket for a total of seven cards?
it really big, fit into pocket easily?
Yes either from or back based on preference
Hey can you recommend a few minimalist wallets close to the Anson cash and card but the money fits in out of view?
Damn!! Loved the Japanese Intro:)
Thanks, I lived there for a few years and traveled Asia for 25 years.
Hermoso diseño. Saludos desde Argentina.
me do no wat u tok king bout to .
How much coins can you fit max including the interior pocket?
In the folded snap area, they indicate up to 15 coins.
Arigato! I’m surprised no one has commented that! 😂 thx for the videos!
