That’s true but these 2 cars are not to scale. The Jos car was actually wider than the Max one (2.2 metres to 2 metres). The modern ones are much longer, heavier and sound shit.
Nice, but not accurate, or the player that drives the Red Bull is not very skilled. Comparisson: - Pole lap time: 1:24.462 in 1995 vs 1:19.327 in 2024 - Fastest lap time: 1:26.419 in 1995 vs 1:21.432 in 2024. P.S. bring back those V8s, V10s and V12s🙂
And it weighed under 550KG as compared to the 950KG of a modern day car . . . . Simtek 580BHP / 550 KG = 1054BHP per Tonne Current day car = 950KG 950BHP (and shaped like a brick). I have watched F1 trackside since 1995 - trust me the late 90s / early 2000s F1 cars were the peak of performance. They changed direction and cornered lightening quick compared to the hairdryer powered barges they race today. Check out the video of Alonso driving the Renault R26 around Abu Dhabi a few years ago for evidence of this.
@rocko-sh5wi Late 90s early 2000's the F1 cars were very very quick everyone knows. The 1995 Simtek however is not to be compared to the F1 cars from the early 2000's. The 1995 Simtek is close to 10 seconds per lap slower on some tracks. A 2024 RedBull destroys a 1995 Simtek as well.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 logicamente scherzo, gran bella simulazione!
There u can see where max gets his dirty tactics from. Both of them trying to run each other off the road and throwing the car to each other. Did not look like a clean race at all
That Simtek should never have been allowed on the track. The chassis completely shattered when Ratzenberger hit the wall at Villeneuve in 1994. It had failed the mandatory FIA crash tests pre season. But because the team principal was a personal friend of Max Mosely the rules were stretched to allow them to compete.
335 kph top speed without DRS is about right. The problem with this matchup is that the RB should be WAY faster through Lesmo, Ascari and Parabolica to the point that the '95 Simtek would have had absolutely no chance of putting up any defense. So either the RB is underpowered or more likely, whoever made the '95 Simtek mod made it way OP.
Pure fantasy. A modern RB is somewhere in the region of 5 seconds faster than the ‘95 pole sitter (accounting for the track changes post 1999). The Simtek was another 5 seconds behind the pace setters of the day.
Simtek went bankrupt before the Italian GP in 1995 so never competed, but seemed to qualify almost 5 seconds behind pole in the 5 races they competed in.
Interesting, though it would seem 'unnatural and illogical', because of nearly 30 years of 'advancement' (which is true, in regards to especially safety), the current F1 cars are heavy, as heavy or heavier even than light Japanese cars from the 90s. They weigh about 1:1 in weight and power, but a great part of that power comes from battery/electric power combined, and that has a very limited usability. the Simtek had almost 600hp but weighed about 550kg, so had more power than weight, and being smaller also made it better in maneuverability, and one might argue, better aerodynamics. In comparison, you could argue it also has better mechanical grip - mainly due to less complexity. what's most interesting here, is that the 1995 simtek was a sh*t car. a backfielder, even worse than sauber in '24. in 1995, Schumacher won the WDC in the Benetton, in close battle with the Williams of Hill, which both were mighty fast cars compared to the Simtek in any way. So if the RB20 has trouble in keeping up with the '95 Simtek, then it would get DESTROYED by the 1995 Benetton Schumacher drove. Or in other words, the fastest car of 2024, that dominated the first part of the season, and handed Verstappen the WDC, is arguably worse over multiple laps compared to a 1995 Simtek backmarker. You could almost call it a sh*t car then, especially compared to the money put in. And the racing in 1995 was better too. No artificial gimmicks, no sh*t artificial tires, no b*tch penalties, racing in the rain without problems. I get that F1 today is impressive in it's safety features, though 1995 cars were already (especially 1996) way safer than those of the late 80s or early 90s, today's cars actually are more likely to have a driver survive, when in the 90s it was more likely to not survive a crash. Obviously this comes at a cost of weight, but i still think F1 is hitting the mark way off. The floors and designs are way too complicated, and I think that the more 'seated' then 'bedded' position of the 90s compared to now can be brought back without a loss of safety, it just depends on how they implement that safety design. On top of that, i loathe the Pirelli tires. They're the most dangerous part of today's cars, and the least fun and biggest destroyer of racing and competition. I get the money, commercial, and even to a degree 'political' aspect of F1 today, but F1 would be miles and miles better with proper racing tires. Bring back Bridgestone, Michelin, or even brands like Toyo. Not with the goal of bringing artificial competition, but actual performance.
Either the Simtek is massively overpowered or the RBR was at half throttle. To give you a real world example let me refer you to suzuka. Only difference compared to 95 is that the cars go through 130r flat and its been reprofiled but you wont find many tracks you can compare to 95 to now more closely. Pole at suzuka in 95 was a 1:38 with the simtek being 8 seconds slower. The Slowest final quali time all weekend in 2024 was 7.9 seconds faster than Schumachers pole time.... Max who was p1 that weekend then went a further 2 seconds quicker... In short a car 18 seconds quicker does not cross the line side by side with a car with 30 years of tech advancements. Take this video down, it is nothing other than FAKE.

É nítido como um f1 hoje é um trambolho de grande. Por isso é tão difícil ultrapassar.
Na verdade não é por isso, mas sim por causa dos motores, que eram muito mais potentes nos anos 90, a octanagem do combustível também era maior
