I've only ever had fruit with my creami. Pineapple. Mango. Grapes. Strawberries. All mono fruit (mash up) and spin on sorbet. Usually respin once. Delicious. Have added mixins of coconut flesh (frozen) in pineapple. I just saw Brocoli mom and she used corn for a recipe. Uses plant milk in each of her concoctions but I'm just doing fruit and love it.
I follow Broccoli Mum on UA-cam and Instagram and she recently got the Ninja Creamy. She is WFPB and she makes some really different nice cream flavours
Thanks 👍 for this update Maddie and it is good that you're pregnancy is going well and that you are taking care of yourself because you are considering the needs of your future son or daughter. I have the Ninja Kitchen Foodie Power Blender that is also a soup maker the only downside to it is the Glass jug doesn't make enough soup so it is good for trying out a new recipe but it would be better to make it on repeat in your instant pot or a big saucepan on the stove. Love 🥰 the video and love 💕 Maddie, ❤Q.
Thank you David! Oh yes the ninja foodie power blender looks great! But totally get it about the smaller size. 😅 Glad you still have a big saucepan as backup!
Love, love, love my Ninja. It still “calls” me even during these cold months. Kathy Hester is the vegan Ninja queen. I know someone mentioned Broccoli Mum - she’s very creative. I made vanilla (banana, soy milk, vanilla) and added Rootbeer flavor…delicious. I did make a honeydew during the summer. Basically any fruit will be wonderful.
Yayyy! Can’t wait to start using it. I’ll be sure to check out Kathy’s videos on it too. 😃 The honeydew has sounded sooo good to me lately! That might be the first one I make. 😅
Awww thank you!!! 🥰🥰 That is so sweet because I definitely haven’t been feeling my most beautiful but am trying to embrace with weight gain with grace. 🥹
Girl with my 1 pregnancy I wanted so much healthy meals ... fruit was key I could eat one whole watermelon 🍉 alone 😂😂 it was a girl 2 pregnancy lmao 🤣 completely NO healthy .... I wanted meat .... I had to have MC cheese burger once a week .... I wasn't 💯 vegan at that time ... and it was a BOY 😅.... so don't feel guilty... enjoy every craving 😋
Broccoli Mum just released a video today using the Ninja Creami as well - she made a salted caramel one using (of all things) sweet corn! Can’t wait to see what you make!!!
I don't often comment since I now watch EVERY' video you put out on the TV...but you look wonderful and congratulations on the baby...your videos are soooo good..I learn so much and rarely miss one...Dont know how you do it...this video was extremely helpful. What an amazing mom you will be!! Looking forward to your baby's arrival!!
It's been 50 years since I was first pregnant, and I still remember how sick I got! It was worse with my second child than it was the first time! I was actually hospitalized at least 4 times. I don't remember for sure. But I understand when you talk about food aversions. I couldn't even walk past a restaurant! And I lived in a touristy beach area in Florida. Couldn't get away! Lol! But your recipes are on point for me and you look wonderful!
Oh wow that must have been so difficult! I feel lucky the aversions and sickness were pretty mild overall. Can’t imagine having to be in the hospital! 😣😣 I’m sure the kids are worth it though. 😄😊
Thank you! I was feeling guilty that I wasn’t taking it as seriously as I could’ve been… so this video felt good to make to help get back on track. ☺️ The milkshake is delish! Definitely worth making.. if not sweet enough you can always add more dates too.
Hi Maddie. You look amazing pregnant! Got the mama glow :) Thanks for sharing WIEIAD. I always love to see it. Hope the rest of this pregnancy is healthy and happy for baby and mama!
You're looking radiant Maadie❤ Considering your weekly prep, when the time comes for your baby to eat solids have you given thoughts on what would your preference be to prep the baby food instead of purchasing jarred or preserved food? Time being the challenger for any mom or dad.
Thank you so much! 🥰🥰 Oooh great question! I will add it to the Q&A! I definitely think meal prep is the main reason I’ve managed to stay pretty consistently healthy throughout this whole pregnancy, even when I wasn’t feeling like eating super healthy. Having those foods prepped was key! Would love to carry it on for baby as well. 🤗🤗
You look fantastic and so glad to see you so full of energy, this baby is gonna be awesome. Your WIEIAD is on point! So was waiting for the Saturday drop and cleaning up from a huge grocery run and dinner (tomorrow is a big prep) and turn on UA-cam while actually having a sampling of whole food vegan nice creams from my Creami. (a Banana Tiramisu, and a Sweet Corn) It's in my counter spinning right now!!
Thank you John! Well I can definitely feel my energy is draining a bit and this WIEIAD is healthier than I’ve been… but I’m definitely trying to make an effort in the last couple months! 😄🙌🏻🙌🏻 Ooo great timing with the Creami! Glad you’re enjoying it I can’t wait to get to experimenting with mine. 😋
I have found different brands of tahini have a big range of calcium when you compare the same serving size! I have also seen lots of recalls for lots of tahini brands over the last few years... I like the Nuts to You 🇨🇦 brand 😊. Have you been able to find a brand of calcium set tofu here in Canada? I have yet to see a "high" calcium tofu where I've shopped 😢
Interesting! I hadn't noticed about the calcium being different... just that different tahinis can taste quite different! I'll have to keep an eye out next time I'm shopping. The one I use is about 100mg per tablespoon. Also haven't had my eye out for calcium tofu. I buy the extra firm organic 3-pack from Costco which is 225mg for an 85g serving, which seems pretty standard. 😊
@LetsEatPlants Aw I wish the different Canadian Costcos carried the same products. Mine only has the 4 pack of Fontaine Sante tofu which is only 50mg/85g. The one I see at my No Frills and Superstore is the Sunrise extra firm and it is 75mg/85g. The search continues 🙃
@@sarinawood Omg right!? It’s so annoying! I see people in other locations get cool vegan cheeses and yogurts that we never get at ours. But at least I guess we get the good tofu! 😆😆 The brand is called Superior Natural if you happen to see that one anywhere!
What are you doing for omega 3? I switched over to chia from flax bc flax has a fair amount of cyanide and chia has almost as much ALA. Young women can convert ALA to EPA / DHA more efficiently than older people like me. So I also take a DEVA 500mg EPA / DHA algal supplement. For the chia drink I soak 1 cup of chia in 4 cups of green tea overnight. I blend half of that mixture at a time with cacao, a bit of ginger powder, ceylon cinnamon, rosemary powder, and a dash of cloves. Plus soymilk and sweetener (erythritol). ... All the best to you!!
So besides flax & chia I’m taking the supplement shown at 8:19 for omega 3, EPA & DHA, which seems similar to your DEVA. Your chia recipe sounds great too!
@@LetsEatPlants Thx for the fast reply. I'm happy for you and your baby... in such good prenatal care!! Thank you! I *love* it! I actually have the smoothie cups (that I made the chocolate smoothie in in this video) and also the minis (8oz. size). I don’t use the minis as much… but I think I’ll be making a lot of baby purées in them soon. 😆😆 But even with the smoothie cups, I think I use them more than my big jug because they’re perfect for a single smoothie. The big container I use more for hummus, soup or if I make a double/ triple smoothie batch. I’m curious how you like the food processor! I love mine, just wish it wasn’t so darn loud. LOL

Oh hey! Welcome! 👋🏻 So glad you’re here. 😃 I’m currently living in Toronto, Canada. I find a lot of food prices pretty reasonable here but for some reason the tempeh is always super expensive! Lol. I’m originally from California so I’m used to the Trader Joe’s tempeh that’s like $2 (or at least it used to be!).
@@LetsEatPlants ahh that makes sense! I'm from Windsor 😁 so yes prices compared to US are definitely different. I'm currently living in Iowa....so everything is significantly cheaper! Thanks for answering ☺️
Thank you! 🤗 Great question! I will address it more in the upcoming Q&A, but definitely a lot more chips (I almost *never* usually eat chips), sour candies, cookies and ice cream… all vegan, just typical “junk food” I guess. 😆🙈 For coffee I just use plain soy milk! During the holidays we buy the sweet creamer from silk but that is only for special occasions. 😜
