    One has to admit that John Mayer's phrasing is extremely tasteful. He's not just famous because he's attractive (though I'm sure that helps), he's a seriously talented guitar player.

      I've seen both BB and SRV live, and they were great.
      I would say John Mayer is at their level now; the masses just haven't noticed yet.
      I'd rather listen to John Mayer tune up than listen to the supposedly brilliant Nobel Prize Winner, Bob Dylan.

    There's the John I know and love. I have been watching him since he was a teenager playing at the foot of Beale st and Riverside drive at
    Memphis in May festivals. He is and always will be a BLUES BOY.
    I have heard ALOT of blues over the years. All the greats. But John has always been right up there with them even as a kid. He has only got better. Please play more blues John. I love your new and old stuff. But you are never better

    Play those blues from your soul.

      Not personally. Just as an artist that is fantasic. Like I said he played for years in Memphis and I have followed him. He is just a great blues guy .
      They can't take that away .

    0:18 "let me get my groove on" throws pick, plays sexy slide, screws the riff up a bit, turns to the drummer for a laugh and gets right back to it un-phased. I love this man.

    The perfect mix of his voice (don't need too much of that - but a bit is welcome)....but the CRAZY good guitar. JM + BB+ SRV = pure magic. Probably the best concert he has done. Not probably, for sure. He uses his voice just perfectly at the end.

    fantastic. John Mayer has grown into who he was always meant to be, a highly talented rock, pop and blues singer and songwriter. I know he'll be considered one of the 90s and beyond's legends.

      @TwoDot damn right he is, but the albums itself is a masterpiece and at least five songs from the studio album deserve to be listened to and enjoyed. Waiting on the world to change (studio version will always be peek John Mayer vocals as he himself said he could never reach the right notes for that song live again) vultures, bold as love studio version 30 second breakdown solo before hyping up again was just gorgeous.

    John Mayer is absolutely mindblowing in concert, and thats just a plain fact. Most people see him as a softcore kind of pop-music playing queer and i did as well until I saw him play at the Hershey Park Stadium yesterday. Now I have the upmost respect for the guy. When I say this man can shred, I mean this man can SHRED!

    @strattonsam It's Eric Clapton's Cream ES-335 Signature.. If you look closely it has the postage stamp on the back of the headstock.. All of the Cream ES-335's has the stamp. Its a exact recreation that Clapton played in Cream.. Beautiful guitar.
