Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.
I am an independent content creator and a fan of the game, I am not paid by Cloud Imperium however I do accept ships from them to giveaway to my community but this will by no means influence my opinion or what I say and believe about the project.

Auto mode on the med gun will not give you "whatever drugs you need". It will only heal you.
Auto advanced mode does that and only after manual analysis on each body part.
Seeing weapon sights in lootboxes gives me hope that they've expanded the loot table. I've always wanted to find thing like silencers and laser-sights in boxes.
I found orange, green, and red lasers in pockets of downed NPCs on Orison platform missions. Once section has like 22 bodies so you have a good chance to get 2 or 3 per run.
@@MysteicVoltronus no shit?! I tried an Orison platform mission last night but no enemies spawned in 😫. Thx for the tip tho... I'll def be checking pockets from now on 👍.
@@BradAhrens Its the civilian bodies you want. Find the section that looks like Siege of Orison's first platform. Its found in the lower section of the twin tower buildings.

Sights used to be rather common in bunkers until I believe 3.19
I used to loot that NV-Tech 4x scope every time I could. Loved using it on my P4s. Sadly with 3.19 that got kicked out of the loottable and its not buyable either.
You can disable the hitmarkers if you don't like them in the options, or simply not wearing a combat helmet they are on only on those =)
I agree with Mac, this should not be in game, even when they trying to make it as a high tech tool of combat helmet... it just feels weird.
I agree with just switching your helmet. I like the confirmation and changed the helmet I used to get the ar crosshair.
Yea, the same way console players can turn on auto aim in their options. But they don't. Not because they necessarily like auto aim, but because doing so would give them a competitive disadvantage. I've been excited for this game for so many years, and I'm incredibly heartbroken that they decided to do a 180, and turn the game from a sim to an arcade game.

@@fanrik9583sucks, but it happens when you play a game being actively developed. Hopefully you stop playing instead of crying about it every chance you get.
The Security rooms next to the lower entrances tend to hold P4s in the racks. So if you ever need spares, you can get them there.
Not too keen on the 'mottling' texture on the exterior of that Distribution Center, so reminiscent of the same effect inside the mining outposts rooms.

Mac, I don't know if you have any pull at CIG, but if you do can you ask them to hire Zeekerss (Lethal Company dev) to write some A.I programming for the new creatures. for a one of deal, rather the average programmers.
That would boost the game so damn much! You gotta do it man. I know you probably won't, but think about it, having some creatures that act like a Bracken in the game would bring endless fun gameplay to SC. o7

What the hell is off-grid supposed to mean in this case? I heard that like 20 times in the past week and i can't imagine what this is supposed to mean.
Means not having to go to landing zones and having everything you need in your ship
It's probably more accurate to call it a "nomad" lifestyle but it'd be confusing since the Consolidated Outland Nomad ship exists.
Mac basically lives in a van down by the river and leaves for missions and to work tho, so it's as close to an off-grid lifestyle as you can get atm. In the future I think you'd be required to craft your own ammunition and live out of your base to meet the "off-grid" requirement.

@@BradAhrens i do however dig the idea of a nomad-like playstyle. Being on the "road" all the time with your nomad clan, making a few shady deals every now and then to earn some money for whatever comes up, driving dirt races on sandy planets for shits and giggles, messing with pirates and security forces alike... That's gotta be a lot of fun! But being all by myself all the time... Nah... Hella boring.

You were always able to use the Medgun in the advanced way. It does however look like a smoother interaction, so if that is what you meant, my bad for misunderstanding.
They have brought the paramed tool closer to the camera to help players see and interact with the device is what I meant

You can turn off hit reg in the settinggs if you don't want to know if you're hitting the target
you can turn the Cross hair and makers off in the options menu, it also turns off the sound, but one can jsut not wear a combat helm and u wont get it either
Hey SMB, nice video. I noticed that a medical rescue ship was outside when you left the building. I'm wondering if you could have carried Kevin to that ship and revived him. I'm aware that wasn't part of the mission, but may it lead to further missions? If not, they should make it a thing... IMO 😁
Your hit marker and sound are tied to your equipment.
Not all helmets have hit markers. Some will be timed for piloting or even medical game play.
Additionally you can go in an turn the hit markers off.
The new ui is so much cleaner

The only thing I'd remove from hit markers is the kill confirm, you should have to visually confirm you killed someone not have a sound and red marker do it
Brotip : you can shoot the locks of the door if you don't have a cutter extension for multitool
why did you start shooting? you had 30 minutes before you were illegally there. just go in and look at the spots before your 30 minute timer is up. you're not KOS until that 30 minute timer finishes counting down.

I kind of don't mind hit markers when the game working as intended isn't always the case and they're at least confirming what should be happening. It does seem a little odd otherwise but I guess not out of place with an MMO to have a clear indication in all situations possible. Though hunting down them corpses to loot is half the fun.

Star Citizen is doing well this year. As expected. This gives hope for a first server meshing version by the end of the year. :)

This looks very fun. With salvage getting nerfed and the master modes changing ship combat, I think the majority of my time will be spent doing FPS contracts. Thanks for the video, Mac!
Luckily FPS contracts are basically the only real missions in the game. Hopefully it doesn't get too boring too quickly.
For someone who hasn't picked up SC in awhile, are these missions actually playable as of today? Last time I tried the AI was basically brain dead and the missions were so bugged you couldn't even complete them. Any better these days?

Vergil is mad at me. LOL I think perhaps we should not be making the game into a punish fest by five elite fighter pilots but maybe we can have a game that MANY people want to play. Since we concierge members sometimes feel entitled I want to address that I am not so cringe. I think that ALL players are important and the MORE people who can enjoy this game the better. Sadly some of the more "elite" talent are just too hateful and need players to suffer loss of ships and heavy penalties in order for them to feel that they have hurt you enough to compensate for daddy issues or whatever is their damage. Lets be better than that and push for a development of a game that is good for the MAJORITY of players not just vergin and other elitist "super pilots".

This type of gameplay isnt Star Citizen, its SQ42 type content, shouldn't people be playing in Groups/Orgs. This type of content is far too linear and tempered for a MP, which is what SC is in essence?. I know its your BreadNbutter content Mac, but do you ever post any content with your org, not this stuff?
