I'm every single time so goddamn impressed of dis man's capability of not only playing so well (raw execution), and this with such a 'sovereign' and concentrated way, but also deepdiving into the mechanics (e.g. weapon archetypes, abilities/skill trees; charged with light mods etc. etc.) and explaining these flawlessly, while executing flawlessly...other than e.g. the also very talented SirD (but yeah, i get, other 'approach', i get it, whatever).
All I want in life is to see a Behemoth get CAWCAWED out of their super.

I have 100 discipline 100 recovery and 100 mobility on my Hunter and that’s just cos I mained Hunter for like 4 weeks

Great video Cammy, I find what’s most comfortable on console is your roll or sub extended barrel for full bore to give perfect recoil direction. Glad Bungie structured this exotic in a way we haven’t seen before.
Man, that first clip is such a masterclass on big brain outplays, i'm still baffled.
Btw Cammy related to ur forbidden double wave build: you can proc swashbuckler on your primary if u switch during your combo/animation. Timing is not that tight and works even if they die to your melee pretty close to where you start it. Would be nasty with a swashbuckler steady hand. I still don't have one yet :(

I have also found the Rangefinder roll of Hawkmoon to be my favorite overall. That being said it's awfully nice that we have our choice of rolls and yes, overall Hawkmoon is a fantastic exotic.

I have an Eye of the Storm God roll Hawkmoon and it's definitely the most consistent feeling roll I've got. But I'm still gravitating towards my opening shot Hawkmoon since it's easier to land the final shot with it. But I still need to farm for a Rangefinder roll next reset. Awesome video!
Could you talk sometime about using truthteller/ orewing’s maul vs fighting lion with smgs? The builds I’m thinking of are stompies hunter and top tree dawn where you lead with the nade launcher and finish off with the smg. Is there a good reason to use lion over a special ammo nade launcher with scavs on and auto loading holster?
Fighting lion using primary ammo is the big advantage it has over other breach launchers. Whether or not that is useful for you I think largely depends on the playlist you are in.
If you lose a round in trials you aren't handicapped by your ammo count with it since you'll spawn with 8 of 9 shots anyways.
Where in 6v6 game modes there is usually such a large amount of special ammo that it kinda doesn't matter, so maybe you want to pair an exotic with a special grenade launcher.
Also with fighting lion using primary ammo you can pair it with other special weapons so it does offer build diversity too.
Ik im not cammy, but the biggest difference between FL and special GLs are the higher damage potential and proximity grenades.
Special ammo GLs can one shot at certain resilience levels (that i don't have off the top of my mind) when you're not using proximity nades, and proxi nades give you more lenience in hitting the target, treat it kind of like expanding the size of your enemies' hitbox. It may not sound like much, but when your nade's velocity is too high so you can't remote detonate, and your shot goes inbetween their legs, you'll start to notice the difference proxi nades make.
If you opt to use FL, you're trading damage potential (and easier/faster cleanups with your primary) for more ammo and no risk of feeding special ammo if they kill you eventually.
As for primary choice, for special gls, i recommend a hand cannon for quick cleanups, and for FL an smg or auto rifle depending on the range you're going for.
Ive used surplus on my hawkmoon because i play controller, people say having recoil that changes is bad but for controller the fact that sometimes you can have almost no recoil is amazing

You actually have the Hawkmoon I been wanting since the catalyst was available. I did get something that is pretty good, a God Roll in its own way, mine has Hammer-Forged Rifling, Eye of the Storm, and Combat Grip. Feels great to use mid-range and Eye of the Storm has saved my skin in engagements I'd otherwise have lost but my roll suffers from range. Challenging Pulse Rifles is almost always a losing battle.

For an aerial build with Hawkmoon, I reccomend grenade launchers. Mainly truthteller. The cleanup only takes one bodyshot, so you still get the paracausal charge from it. Slap quick access sling on it and enjoy free charges at a ttk of .7ish

Really liking Hawkboi with Foetracer. Obviously had to ditch the Dragon's Shadow, and there's just something so satisfying about ending someone's fun as soon as they repeek a corner 😆

My favorite roll is Chambered C, Snapshot, and Smooth Grip. Thats the great thing about this gun, you can really find a roll that works for you :)

Ive been using arrowhead brake/opening shot/heavy grip bc thats the best i could get after the first week. Yesterday i got hammerforged/rangefinder/smooth grip. That thing aims for you. Its awesome

As a controller player I will tell you that Opening Shot with a ton of stability is solid. Rangefinder is also very good but there is recoil to deal with and it has to be in that near max range form to really get the full benefit.
Cammy, you should do a destiny coaching series. I know that the skill differential is very small in crucible, and i know that its more of a chance thing than more often than not. Sometimes, its not worth taking it seriously. But there are times i think, wow, i could really use someone to go through this with a fine tooth comb and pick out what im doing wrong, where my positioning could be better, or why i shouldnt have engaged then. I think theres still alot of enjoyment to be had there. Id actually go as far as to say that it would improve some of the communities outlook on pvp.
I looove Hawkmoon. I still remember it was my first exotic, getting it from a random crucible match.
I know when we're talking about gunplay we want consistency, but color me different If I said I loved the RNG or inconsistency of the Hawkmoon, not knowing which bullets are special.
I think the Moving Target roll has one other use case, which is Dynamo stacking.

I was able to get smallbore/range finder/smooth grip its feels so bloody good.
I either use ace, Hawky, crimson or one of my 120's and always snipe as a secondary lol.

This is the longest I've stayed in a relationship where somebody repeatedly lied to me.
1 of those is right, 1 of those is wrong and if you dropped 70 on bL you might be slow in the head
*** Full Bore + Opening Shot + Heavy Grip ***
What this GOD role provides for me:
1) Every 3 seconds of not pulling the trigger, opening Shot procs and gives me a sudo Icarus mod for the next shot.
2) Hawkmoon is at its 'weakest' in its first shot and Opening Shot helps compensate for that.
3) Stability tanked by Full Bore(-9 Stability) is mitigated by the stability bump from Heavy Grip(+9 Stability).
4) Handling stat tanked by this role can be rendered almost non-effective by slotting handling mods in armors. There's currently no mod that slots in armors and directly improves weapon stability( point.3 proves that this GOD role has no downside in terms of stability ). Also, you can not slot stability mod in Hawkmoon.
For M&K, I believe this GOD role holds the least amount of weaknesses among all possible GOD roles...........IMO.

Also cammy fun play with hawkmoon is truthteller with auto loading disruptions break proximity grenades and since hawkmoon perk only cancels on final round you can swap and clean up with hawkmoon super easy and then use the sniper final round to destroy
So will farming Hawkmoon Harbinger mission become easier this next season with the upgraded power? I don't go for pinnacle/have terrible rng so I was not able to get to it this season.
