Ya, I have. I love Sonic Heroes, Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic Generations, as well as the 3 original Sonic games, but none of them are as fun to me as this game. Plus, Shadow is my favorite character in the Sonic universe. I recognize that this game has a lot of faults, but so do a lot of Sonic games.
Then again, it wasn't the case for his classic counterpart; as one point he was going to be a cute little rabbit at one point during Sonic 1's development. His personality came about later to fit a more ~american~ environment... And it can't get more 'murican than Shadow the Hedgehog!
I'm not defending the game as a whole, overall it's bordering the line of bad and okay, but it did do SOME things right. More so than other Sonic games being released at the time or even afterwards.
Shadow had polished gameplay, but the story was complete garbage, the music was good and so were most of the levels, but those ark levels with Maria can burn in a fiery pit of doom.
I mean saying something is better than '06 barely even means jack shit, because if you think about it it's not actually that hard for a Sonic game to be better than '06. *_Glances at Sonic Boom Trilogy_* Never mind.
Because stiff movements means smooth movements right? Also you say the music was great. I bet you can not hum the tune of Glyphic Canyon, Circus Park, The Last Way, etc without having to look it up first. Shadow is a mess of a Sonic game.

i will never understand why Americans think "damn" and "hell" are swear words then again were i live there are ok words to say in public and even in some cases formal settings.
@シャドウ Not enough Christians exist in America, since I happen to be one, thank you very much. And we Christians use the word damn all the time, that's how we talk about people going to hell. If you think it's okay to be bigoted against the dominant religious group in one of the world's major superpowers, I wouldn't do business in my country were I you. We welcome everyone, but we do not put up with being walked on. Bigot. I have some videos you might want to watch, maybe you would actually learn something.
Cultural differences I guess. I mean it's weird for me when they freak out when PG or G rated content have words as damn or hell when say, those words are commonly used in Disney's spanish dubs
Sonic boom was developed for next gen in Cryengine. Halfway through development, Sega struck an exclusivity deal with Nintendo for the Wii U. CryEngine can't run on WiiU so they had to port it. So the point still stands. Sega have no idea what they're doing.
This game came out when I was 10 and going through a punk rocker phase. When I got my hands on this game I enjoyed it, and I still do. So what if edgy kids wanted to see Sonic with a gun? It's by no means the best game, but it's not terrible. I see it the same way with Twilight Princess & ppl criticizing it for "trying to be too dark." No matter what, this game will always be special to me :)
Twilight Princess gets way less criticism for that than shadow the hedgehog, mainly because TP was pretty much best or second best 3D zelda game whereas Shadow was a mediocre 3D sonic game.
People hate it mostly because of the mission structure, and the general design of the game. Shadow the Hedgehog was *extremely* dark for a Sonic game. It was a huge shift in the overall tone of the franchise, and it was just too big of a pill to swallow. Shadow didn't need to be given minor curse words, nor did he need to be given guns. Having to play Westopolis ten times just to get to the final story can be tedious, especially when you consider the Hero and Dark missions where you have to kill *everything* in the level, otherwise you're backtracking for at least two or three minutes. This "Kill everything in the level" setup, as well as the level design, is why The Doom and Lost Impact are easily the *worst* levels in the game. It's a complete maze, and you have to kill *everything* in the level if you're not going for the goal ring. And if you miss *one* enemy, you're backtracking for at least ten minutes just to find the one GUN soldier or Artificial Chaos that you might've missed. The plot was also...uh...let's say lacking. The majority of the game, apart from the intro cutscene and the last story, was not canon anyway. None of the ten endings were even remotely close to being canon. Not to mention that the game expects us to remember Professor Gerald as a great guy. No, I won't remember him as a great guy, I *played* Sonic Adventure 2. There's no way I'll forget how he programmed the Ark to ram into the planet to end all life as we know it cause Maria got shot. That also brings up the GUN commander. He *works* for GUN, how does he not know the politics behind the raid? How does he not know that Shadow was *not* responsible for Maria's death? The game just brings up more questions than answers. All of this is coming from someone who likes the game. Shadow the Hedgehog came out when I was right in its target demographic; a Shadow fanboy/fangirl that was also an edgy preteen. Shadow the Hedgehog wasn't a good game, but it also wasn't a *bad* game. Overall, I'd say it's mediocre at best. I used to defend the game tooth and nail, but now that I've gotten older, I can really see what people are talking about, and I completely agree with them. I still like it, but I'll no longer regard it as absolutely perfect. It's a very, very flawed game.
@@97dusk Nothing in Sonic Adventure 2 Shadow The Hedgehog Sonic 2006 and Sonic And The Black Knight is inappropriately dark for the core audience the Sonic series gears towards
***** If children are to blame merely for mailing letters, everybody should mail them asking them to make a good Sonic game. They made the choice, they are to blame.
If the game wasn't so glitchy I'd honestly like Shadow the Hedgehog a lot. I appreciate the story telling, the story paths one could take, and the fact that they at least tried a lot of new ideas. Unfortunately the quality of the game itself was really low and I think that affected people's opinions on everything else in the game.
The glitchy camera, I clipped through the world more than once. The early game is honestly really tight all things considered, by by the final level it is almost literally falling apart.
glitches or the camera never bothered me in this game what I hated was the fact that you had to beat it 10 times to get the real ending other than that most of my problems with it are very minor and I like it for what it is
Meh. I enjoyed the game for what it was. Never played it with _"it's a Sonic game"_ in mind, which seems to have been the right thing, seeing how developers themselves indeed wanted it to be something other than a Sonic game. Once you stop worrying about trying to get the "Sonic formula" in the game, it is pretty fun to play, actually, although I admit some of the bugs and overly long stages can get annoying at times. And Shadow's backstory is more interesting than Shadow himself as a character, which is something I have conflict with. Not a perfect game, but definitely not worth being thrown with the likes of Sonic '06, Secret Rings and Boom as it often is.
The problem with that idea is the game plays like it's a Sonic game. Most spin-off's are a different genre from the main game, or in Sonic Booms case, an entirely different style of platformer. Shadow however has everything that makes a Sonic game a Sonic game.
Yup, because there's definitely other platformers that have you collect rings while going fast. You were purposefully playing it trying to ignore the "it's a sonic game" thing. Also, this game is still trash as a standalone game, not just as a Sonic game.
Kingdom080500 Rings are just Sonic's take on the platformer trope of going around collecting things, like Mario's coins, Donkey Kong's bananas, etc. It having rings and going fast do not automatically make it a Sonic game. Otherwise, Sonic Riders would also be a classic "Sonic" game by definition, and it most certainly is not. If the developers made it with the intention of it being different, most people say it plays differently and it is even named differently, then guess what: *it is not a goddamn Sonic game*. What more proof would you need..? A goverment-signed law stating it is not a Sonic game..? Mario Party is not automatically a classic "Mario game" because it has "Mario" in the name and as a character, nor is Kingdom Hearts a "Final Fantasy" game because it has FF characters and is an RPG. Just like Shadow the Hedgehog, all of them were made to be their own, independent titles that happen to be related to preexisting ones, and nobody denies it for the 2 I mentioned, yet Shadow is somehow the exception because Sonic fans cannot spent even 2 minutes without being their stereotypical selves on the internet, and then they wonder why people give them shit.
Zegorykz All those spin-off's you mentioned are completely different genre's from the main series. Shadow is a Sonic game because it's a platformer that plays like a Sonic style platformer. It has Sonic style level geometry of slopes, curves, hills, and loops. It has all of the Sonic style gameplay such as spin dashing, homing attacking, rail grinding, and light speed dashing. Hell it's built using the Sonic Heroes game engine.
Yeah, the multiplayer was the best aspect of the game. Everything else though, I didn't like very much at all and stopped playing after a few levels. This is coming from someone who loved Sonic Heroes.
Ever since Sonic 06 it seems like Shadow is in less and less Sonic games and if he is in the game he is barely part of the story or even playable. He is one of my favorite characters. Its like they didn't know what to do with him after he was so awesome in Sonic Adventure 2's ending.
That's true for all the character though. People hated the friend after 06 so Sega put every side character besides Tails and Amy in storage. It took till Lost World for Knuckles to come back at all, and the games still advertise 'you only play as Sonic' as a feature.
Fucking hell, being a developer at Sonic Team must be the most soul crushing job in the world. An entire career making Sonic games... I'd just end it lmao
at the time it kind of was as Yuji Naka left because he was getting tired of the franchise. however the latest developers don't mind because now they have more freedom thanks to SEGA being more open to the community in general
From what i understand part of why Yugi Naka left was because he wasn't happy with his position. Naka is a programmer who loves making games, but his success with the Sonic games resulted in him being moved up to management, where he couldn't do programming.
I thought the same thing as the band Crush 40 who did a lot of the 3D games' rock-ish soundtrack. That is their legacy, no matter what they try to do after Sonic.
Mhm, Yuji Naka's claim to fame was programming the "3D" first person dungeons for the original Phantasy Star on Master System! He's a very talented programmer.
shadowspider9 well it's less about that and more about doing nothing but Sonic. Before the 2000s Sonic team was allowed to work on anything they wanted from NiGHTS to Burning Rangers. They were not restricted to one franchise unlike now. Though like I said the current developers don't mind
i find this game to be better than most sonic games. SA, SA2, heroes... all of those sucked. better than the classic sonic stages from generations too.
2:00 'morally ambiguous'. ladies and gentlemen, a testament to the many damages this game caused to shadow's character i don't understand where the people keep getting this and the 'hIs OwN rEasONs' schtick from shadow has never been 'morally ambiguous'. as soon as he overcame his programming in sa2, he saved the world from the space colony ark. he didn't do it for 'his own reasons', or 'because of maria', he told amy that he was keeping his promise to maria, *and* to her (basically humanity) too. he awakens in heroes and the *FIRST* thing he does is save rouge. without any qualms, he teams up with the both of them so they could help eachother find their answers; and doesn't think twice about helping out against metal overlord with the others. he *then* tries to destroy emerl, because he believed he was a threat to *humanity* but after removing that piece of his programming, literally befriends him, and has friendly competition with him. like, shadow's a hero. it's really not that complicated. i mean, none of us are really surprised, bc this isn't the first time they bastardised a character to fit a trope; knuckles became big, stupid and forgot about the master emerald. he was legit acquitted of being sonic's rival, and stopped being cool ever since forever -singlehandedly killed 80% of his own men due to negligence.- -tails needed to be the geek character, so they took away all his combat potential, all his character development, and all his maturity to pander to the stereotype -at least when amy was an annoying fangirl she didn't put people to sleep. what even is her personality anymore -idk how to feel about silver -and the others just have no personality sigh, tis the current state of sonic
This is totally unrelated, but oh my god, Shadow's pose at 3:51 ??? That is a Rouge pose. I've never seen Shadow sit like that. (But him hanging out with Rouge enough that they start mirroring each other's body language would be a sweet headcanon)
So you enjoy playing Westopolis 10 times, have no meaning to your chosen path, disjointed story, an almost useless homing attack and melee attack, having characters of one alignment chew you for attack enemies of the same alignment when it's a time where you literally have no choice on the matter, 30 minute long ark missions, out of wack level design, badly implemented vehicles with no real incentive to use them outside manditory segments, needing to go through the same path area 2 for 5 routes just to even get to the final story, and lets not forget how slippery shadow can get. If you can manage to sit through all of that. More power to you.
Damn Sonic fans had to ruin EVERYTHING for the Phantasy Star fans, didn't they?.... along with the countless numbers of fans of other great games Sega use to make before they started acting like Sonic was the only property that they have.
Sloppy controls, shitty cast, nonsensical and irrelevant plot for the most part and Shadow the Hedgehog being portrayed as a completely bland and uncharismatic protagonist.
Guillem Moreno Charismatic? I don't think Shadow's suppose to be charismatic, he's suppose to be pissed off and confused. Also the story was damn (swear word!) interesting.
Two player was fun. Speaking of which, if a second player picks up a controller while another character like Sonic is in the level, they could play as sonic and interact with the environment (without guns, of course). I learned that on my own when I was 4 and I was unbelievably happy about it.
Actually the gameplay was pretty good, a bit slippery but the gun play was a nice touch. A sequel would be great, make Shadow a gun agent who uses firearms and rides a bike just like in the comics
See, even though this game was trying to be a bit edgy I still liked it and maybe a sequel wouldn't be that bad, there are so many possibilities. Shadow The Hedgehog 2: Agent at G.U.N.
I agree but aslong as the story is actually done right this time,oh and as for the "edgy" joke...well it lost it's humour plus I don't see how Shadow is the most "Edgiest" character ever when there are other characters out there
Honestly, I didn't find shadow to be that bad of a game when you ignore it's sonic characters. Same goes with Sonic Unleashed, just pretend you're playing god of war at night ;P
I liked Sonic Unleashed. I never did %100 the game though, I just beat it all the way to the end. Unlike Shadow the Hedgehog, you didn't have to get anything crazy like beating a whole bunch of endings to get the true end.
Nathan Hernandez Sonic game I had the hardest time beating to the "true ending" was probably... Sonic Heroes. Chaotix missions took too long; and the bonus stage copied from Sonic 2 was broken (as in it was buggy; making it VERY difficult to get the chaos emeralds)
Gotta agree %100 on Sonic Heroes, I though getting the Chaos Emeralds was so much more annoying to do alongside playing all of the teams made it less worth my time than Shadow the Hedgehog.
It's kind of like "hell" in the US. We have a lot of heavily religious groups in the country who will protest at the drop of a hat, so it's not actually as offensive to the vast majority as Hollywood and everybody thinks it is.
this is probably in my top 5 favorite sonic games so far (i'm currently on a quest to play every sonic game and just finished shadow earlier this week and i thought it was awesome)
3:20 Well, they did change stuff to make the game less mature but that scene right there... Childhood ruined forever (Unless you like Shadow more, it's a good thing showing what Shadow is, I guess?)
Truthfully speaking, if they pushed through with the Shadow as a franchise thing, I feel like it could've made for a genuinely intriguing, darker side-series for the Sonic franchise. I think the concept they attempted had some genuine potential in being a flexible story and allowing everyone to get their own unique interpretation of Shadow as a character. It's just that the execution is shit - unnecessary "Last Story" segment or some of the writing is downright awful. I really wish they followed up with a second game or something to iron out the kinks of the first. I'm one of the rare few that enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog as a game. However - I wouldn't do repeat visits of the game (as in - 10 endings + Final Story) because of the way the game is structured but I found myself having a degree of fun with it. This game is the definition of a "missed opportunity". But seeing as something like Sonic Mania happened, I genuinely hope they revisit this concept in a future game. Flesh out what worked in Shadow while attempt to mitigate or remove what didn't.
@@andrehernandez9857 I mean, in several old FPS games you never reload, and Half-Life is known for having all their real-life weapons do things that they never do in real life.
One thing I've always questioned is why Shadow even needs to use guns. Unlike other characters, he has a vast array of chaos powers that would've been much more interesting to see than generic firearms. Chaos Spear pretty much eliminates the need for any guns since it's Shadow's signature attack and projectile, and he still has other abilities like Chaos Blast, Chaos Control, and short ranged teleportation as seen in the game's opening movie, so why not just make the game revolve around chaos abilities with a chaos meter that needs to be refilled with either kills or rings?
You know what Shadow the Hedgehog did better than SA2 or Heroes?
Rail switching.
I'd say it did rail grinding the best out of the whole series so far, even Unleashed. To be fair, most kids are stupid.
I was only 9 years when the game came out. I am sorry for this mess every 9 year old in 2005 made
Ur faith is misplaced that's why. U use Jesus Christ as a swear word and put your faith in humanity. It should be in Jesus Christ Himself. He rose from the grave on your behalf and came to bring life and to bring it abundantly

I love this game so much. It's literally one of my favorite Sonic games ever and Shadow is so awesome.
You haven't played a Sonic game have you

So edgy kids led to an edgy game. How fitting.
I always was suspicious as to why many sonic fans are to quickly dismiss it as a terrible sonic game, but now I know why! Cause and effect, kiddies!
You say that as though Sonic hasn't always been edgy. Are you new to this franchise?
To be fair, that's pretty much been Sonic in a nut shell. Its why he's a spiky mammal, runs fast, and eats chili dogs.
Then again, it wasn't the case for his classic counterpart; as one point he was going to be a cute little rabbit at one point during Sonic 1's development. His personality came about later to fit a more ~american~ environment... And it can't get more 'murican than Shadow the Hedgehog!
Meh, in the 90s being "totally radical" was cool for kids, jump 10 years later and dark, brooding anti-heroes became the bees knees
this game was so underrated I love this game so much
Say what you will about Shadow The Hedgehog, the game had really solid platforming, much more so than Sonic 06.
Seriously! I mean how can you hate on a game that's had a TON more polished than Sonic 06?
I'm not defending the game as a whole, overall it's bordering the line of bad and okay, but it did do SOME things right. More so than other Sonic games being released at the time or even afterwards.
Shadow had polished gameplay, but the story was complete garbage, the music was good and so were most of the levels, but those ark levels with Maria can burn in a fiery pit of doom.
I mean saying something is better than '06 barely even means jack shit, because if you think about it it's not actually that hard for a Sonic game to be better than '06. *_Glances at Sonic Boom Trilogy_* Never mind.
Shadow The Hegehog and Sonic 06 are actually decent games

actually loved shadow the hedgehog, music was great, controls were smooth and gameplay was just fun.
i always thought it would get a sequel :( till i learned of its infamy
"controls were smooth"...
Because stiff movements means smooth movements right? Also you say the music was great. I bet you can not hum the tune of Glyphic Canyon, Circus Park, The Last Way, etc without having to look it up first. Shadow is a mess of a Sonic game.

Sonic boom was developed for next gen in Cryengine. Halfway through development, Sega struck an exclusivity deal with Nintendo for the Wii U. CryEngine can't run on WiiU so they had to port it.

I enjoyed it. Yes, not the best, but a very unique game being set in the Sonic Universe
better then 06 and boom
you're not alone. this was one of my favorites as a kid
10 year old punk rocker, gtfo of here
Wtf? There's nothing edgy about TP.
Kingdom080500 The darker appearance and plot than the average Zelda game caused people to say that.
skinsman82000 I know right!? XD I listened to all types of bands from the 80s and a lot of pop punk too. I was a strange child.
I don't care what people says...
I LOVE THIS GAME. Duno why people hate it...
@@97dusk
Nothing in Sonic Adventure 2 Shadow The Hedgehog Sonic 2006 and Sonic And The Black Knight is inappropriately dark for the core audience the Sonic series gears towards
I hate it because of the mission structure and confusing/stressfull levels, messy desing and other things that are from gameplay

So Sega USA is the one to blame? No wonder Shadow has guns in his game! 'MURICA!
'Murica: It doesn't have a gun? Give it a gun.
Actually more like children are to blame. That explains so much.
***** If children are to blame merely for mailing letters, everybody should mail them asking them to make a good Sonic game.
They made the choice, they are to blame.
Children logic to make games better :
Does the protagonist have a gun?
No : give him guns.
Yes : give him bigger guns.
Just like Rob Liefeld.
Nintendo would never give Mario a gun because kids sent letters.
shadow... it's been a long time since you were playable
What glitches? Only bug/glitch i know of is the infinate chaos control, which i can't do on my ps2
The glitchy camera, I clipped through the world more than once. The early game is honestly really tight all things considered, by by the final level it is almost literally falling apart.
glitches or the camera never bothered me in this game what I hated was the fact that you had to beat it 10 times to get the real ending other than that most of my problems with it are very minor and I like it for what it is
I didn't have a problem.
It's not as glitchy as Sonic 06 though
always had problems with the camera since sonic went 3d, I'm not even sure that can be considered a glithc

I hate to say this, but I think Loonatics Unleashed isn't that half bad.
This game was fun, but sadly, this game had lots of plotholes that made absolutely no sense.
Zegorykz
All those spin-off's you mentioned are completely different genre's from the main series.
***** Man, even with these binoculars on, I still can't find anything relevant about your comment.
Oh god I remember this game. Multiplayer was actually pretty fun with a friend, to be fair.
Yeah the multiplayer in this game was unexpectedly fun for such a shitty game.
As long as you didn't play as robot shadow with infinite ammo
Yeah, the multiplayer was the best aspect of the game. Everything else though, I didn't like very much at all and stopped playing after a few levels. This is coming from someone who loved Sonic Heroes.
so your telling me not holding a giant minigun is op?
Ever since Sonic 06 it seems like Shadow is in less and less Sonic games and if he is in the game he is barely part of the story or even playable. He is one of my favorite characters. Its like they didn't know what to do with him after he was so awesome in Sonic Adventure 2's ending.
aside from Sonic Generations we haven't seen the character in 10 years.
Wasn't he in Secret Rings and the PSP Sonic Rivals games?
Shadow Ninja Secret Rings was a party game if we're talking about Shadow properly showing up. Sonic Rivals came out in 2006 by the way
That's true for all the character though. People hated the friend after 06 so Sega put every side character besides Tails and Amy in storage. It took till Lost World for Knuckles to come back at all, and the games still advertise 'you only play as Sonic' as a feature.
shadowspider9 considering that the tagline for Sonic 17 has join the resistance I'm expecting playable characters again like Shadow and Blaze
At 0:36, you could hear brutalmoose call eggman: "Dr. Eggman." Although he probably messed up.
I enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog. It was the first game I played that had different storylines depending on player choice.

i find this game to be better than most sonic games. SA, SA2, heroes... all of those sucked. better than the classic sonic stages from generations too.
2:00 'morally ambiguous'. ladies and gentlemen, a testament to the many damages this game caused to shadow's character
i don't understand where the people keep getting this and the 'hIs OwN rEasONs' schtick from
shadow has never been 'morally ambiguous'. as soon as he overcame his programming in sa2, he saved the world from the space colony ark. he didn't do it for 'his own reasons', or 'because of maria', he told amy that he was keeping his promise to maria, *and* to her (basically humanity) too. he awakens in heroes and the *FIRST* thing he does is save rouge. without any qualms, he teams up with the both of them so they could help eachother find their answers; and doesn't think twice about helping out against metal overlord with the others. he *then* tries to destroy emerl, because he believed he was a threat to *humanity* but after removing that piece of his programming, literally befriends him, and has friendly competition with him. like, shadow's a hero. it's really not that complicated.
i mean, none of us are really surprised, bc this isn't the first time they bastardised a character to fit a trope;
knuckles became big, stupid and forgot about the master emerald. he was legit acquitted of being sonic's rival, and stopped being cool ever since forever -singlehandedly killed 80% of his own men due to negligence.-
-tails needed to be the geek character, so they took away all his combat potential, all his character development, and all his maturity to pander to the stereotype
-at least when amy was an annoying fangirl she didn't put people to sleep. what even is her personality anymore
-idk how to feel about silver
-and the others just have no personality
sigh, tis the current state of sonic
This is totally unrelated, but oh my god, Shadow's pose at 3:51 ??? That is a Rouge pose. I've never seen Shadow sit like that. (But him hanging out with Rouge enough that they start mirroring each other's body language would be a sweet headcanon)

5:25 Shadow the hedgehog do not steal
What do people have against this game?! It's not THAT much of a tonal shift, and it's a lot of fun to play!
Too many plot point issues as well as replayability being incredibly poor.
+NamekuBushi Don't forget the "trying too hard to be edgy and mature, but actually becoming more childish because of it" aspect of the game's story
"Not that much of a tonal shift"

Shadow the hedgehog, SEGA' s own oc to their own game. That is dedication.
So Shadow was literally made because kids wanted Sonic to have a gun.
Yeah that seems right.
And thus, Sega never listened to their fanbase again, causing them to create an experiment gone wrong.
+bumbruh Looks like they took that statement way too far. * looks towards 06 and Boom

and that's what happens when you take kid's advices for a game
Damn Sonic fans had to ruin EVERYTHING for the Phantasy Star fans, didn't they?.... along with the countless numbers of fans of other great games Sega use to make before they started acting like Sonic was the only property that they have.
I played the fuck out of this game as a kid, but I know why people don't like it

Two player was fun. Speaking of which, if a second player picks up a controller while another character like Sonic is in the level, they could play as sonic and interact with the environment (without guns, of course). I learned that on my own when I was 4 and I was unbelievably happy about it.
One of my favorite Sonic games.
I'd love to see a sequel.
What a great idea! (sarcasm)
Actually the gameplay was pretty good, a bit slippery but the gun play was a nice touch.
A sequel would be great, make Shadow a gun agent who uses firearms and rides a bike just like in the comics
+OwTheEdge™ (チャック) Well that actually doesn't sound like a bad idea
See, even though this game was trying to be a bit edgy I still liked it and maybe a sequel wouldn't be that bad, there are so many possibilities.
Shadow The Hedgehog 2:
Agent at G.U.N.
I know, forget what it's called just try it!
The only thing i disliked about Unleashed was that you had to collect those coins before progressing
I liked Sonic Unleashed. I never did %100 the game though, I just beat it all the way to the end. Unlike Shadow the Hedgehog, you didn't have to get anything crazy like beating a whole bunch of endings to get the true end.
Nathan Hernandez
Sonic game I had the hardest time beating to the "true ending" was probably...
I feel like having a sonic game having branching path/story would be fitting for a Silver game, since hes affiliated with time travel
Those 14 year olds reeeaaally like their Shadow.
And is damn really considered a swear in the US?
Meh, kind of. Enough to ward off an E rating, but it's not like people will freak out over it.
Huh....ok. It's just that, as far as I know, it's sorta normal in the UK. Like saying poo or bugger.
For the record, it was censored in Smash despite that game having a E+10 rating. So I guess it became T rating material nowadays.
It's kind of like "hell" in the US. We have a lot of heavily religious groups in the country who will protest at the drop of a hat, so it's not actually as offensive to the vast majority as Hollywood and everybody thinks it is.
It depends on how it's used.

Let's not forget what every reviewer does: Expert mode and the A ranks actually matter and do something unlike most sonic games.
"we recieved letters from *KIDS* for sonic to have a gun"
many say guns ruin the game... kids ruined this too...
Only if your a long time Sonic fan.
I want shadow the hedgehog 2
*Are you sure about that*
+bumbruh ...If he wasn't he wouldn't have said it.
Yes, after all this time they can very easily fix it's problems.
IKR they fuck up sonic countless time but dont stop making games for him, shadow should get a redo and a sequel
This game is proof that giving people what they ask for (in this case a sonic game with guns) isn't as easy a solution as we might think it is.
2:53 DID HE JUST PUMP A SUBMACHINE GUN AAAAHHHAHAHA
Just Another FurrFag Yes.
Just Another FurrFag Why put in guns when they know nothing about them.
@@andrehernandez9857 I mean, in several old FPS games you never reload, and Half-Life is known for having all their real-life weapons do things that they never do in real life.
'damn' is considered a curse word in America? lol
Considered a mild curse here, but yeah.
Only slightly worse then Hell, which is barely a curse here
Just barely.
You know, this game gets a lot of flak and has alot of flaws, but truth be told I kinda enjoyed this game.
me too

i loved id i think it is the fastes sonic game, no stupid aim look or happy carackters who only do good thinks.
you're not alone there bud
One thing I've always questioned is why Shadow even needs to use guns. Unlike other characters, he has a vast array of chaos powers that would've been much more interesting to see than generic firearms. Chaos Spear pretty much eliminates the need for any guns since it's Shadow's signature attack and projectile, and he still has other abilities like Chaos Blast, Chaos Control, and short ranged teleportation as seen in the game's opening movie, so why not just make the game revolve around chaos abilities with a chaos meter that needs to be refilled with either kills or rings?
