Hey great video, just a heads up, instead of using a razor knife to start removing the trim, I used a small lever action suction cup and attached it to top part of the trim.
Thanks for the information, it enabled me to extract a nickel from the DVD player. I'll be 68 Saturday, and you can never have enough information. I didn't even bother to look at Alldata.
I have a 2008 Chevy Tahoe LT with the same radio as in this video. I bought an OEM GM Navi/XM touch screen radio to swap with. Can you point me to the correct adapter harness? New radio is a GM 15882766 DW468100-5173 Denso 12v Have you done a video showing how to do this?
Hi I have a 2011 GMC Sierra 2500 with the standard am fm cd radio. I would like to upgrade to the factory am fm cd nav radio. Will the wiring plug in to the upgrade radio? If not where can I get an adapter Thanks
Hi, I just watched your video. I upgraded the factory radio with the GM Navigation screen radio/DVD/XM head unit. I am trying to figure out how to get the camera to show on the radio screen when in reverse. I have scoured UA-cam and Google to find the wires to tap into to make this happen. Do you know which wires and where the wires are so that I can make this happen. My Tahoe is a 2012 with the factory backup camera in the rear view mirror. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.
You did not show us how to by-pass the steering wheel controls or how to retain them. Not necessary for a removal video however, if your removing it, why not show the other half. Otherwise, nice one.
Thank you for the help. But that music in the background is very distracting, it doesn't let me see that good. 😆
I have a 2012 GMC Yukon that I am installing a double din and removing stock stereo. Where do you connect steering control wires?
is that the onstar box behind everything?
Thank you brother just what I needed it!!!
Thanks for the video. Had to put my cruise control back in.

Do you know if you can swap the analog controls/knobs for the digital version
My radio is just like that one. I have an 09 silverado. If it's been out for a couple of days and then I put it back in, will it be locked?
Mine won’t play dvds or cds but pulls disk in and ejects fine. Any ideas? Thanks!!
Did you ever figure out the prob? Mine is doing the same.

NOTE: 2007 Silverado Classic owners need to fall back on the instructions for the 2006 Silverado.
Do I have to have an aftermarket microphone with the Radio Pro 5 radio replacement interface?
