Very reminiscent of our abysmal leviathan and other kraken like creatures found in hollowfall. Maybe we’ll see some tortalian, with this new island that the goblins found calling to them across the water.
Sethrak would be a great start as a allied race, also the haranir as well. Arathi can be a human customization option for kul'tirans, humans, and blood elves.
Yes, please give us Nerubians already, not another dwarf with a different color, I want new distinguished races, more arms with nerubians, big and two headed ogres, nagas for the love of God been waiting for all of that ages ago
The Sethrak could probably share a good portion of their meshes with Ascended. The Arathi would be cool if they were for both factions to represent the Half Human Half High Elven nature of them. Playable races that would be cool even though not all of them are able to be Allied races since they'd need new meshes and skeletons and such: Grummles but that's kinda a meme, Jinyu, Hozin, Ethereals, Kobolds, Murlocs, Mogu, Tol'vir (this one would be hard I know), any other titan forged I'm not thinking of

Doubt since the kobolds have basically the same even less roll than Tuskarr in DF and they still didn't add Tuskarr tho ut was the perfect time and many people exoected it since they have been fan favorite since wotlk
I would like to see the Saberons as a playable race for the Horde, and that way we can have that old cat vs dog thing going with them and the Alliance's Worgen. But I would kill to have Ascended Nerubians as a playable race.
Haronier strike me more troll-like than Night elf... maybe that missing link between Troll and N-elf that's been hinted at before. That said, TWW makes a solid case for making Kobolds playable....
If the Kobolds texture fits say a gnomes frame then yea it might be playable. Haronier are more then likely going to be a canidate because they're pallet swapped trolls.
Been wanting Naga, Dryads, and Arakkoa forever, or somehow come up with lore for Nightfae to be playable lol. But realistically, Nerubians would be so much fun
After TREE identical dwarf races...like the last one, I think we don't need yet another short and kind moustache person like the Tuskar. I think it's time to balance this with a cool race again, something like the spider or snake people. I don't understand why they made yet ANOTHER dwarf race. It's the same dwarf, but with a different texture. Super LOW EFFORT imo. "New" race my azz. Make something new and UNIQUE, like the Vulpera. I know they're Goblins with different heads, but...please, something different.
Honestly, Mok'nathal would be amazing. Could just use the Kul'tiran skeletons and remove the gut for some orc ripped abs. I think there was a fan model with that concept somewhere on the forums at one point.
I really love the Haronir, even without doing a lot of their lore quests yet. Visually they feel very striking, kind of like the missing link between Nelves and Trolls. The bat flight form that we've already seen from one of the NPCs is awesome, and if we don't get playable Haronir I hope that at least becomes available for druids via a glyph.
I never played WoD but I would LOVE to play as an Arakkoa and Botani. I've also seen Jinyu being popular, which could easily fit a land/sea/sky expansion theming.
I am all for Ogres, and ascended Nerubians being playable, not so much for murlocs. It's ironic how people consider goblins and gnomes especially the mechanical ones (haven't forgotten the pandas) an absurd joke. Along with being the least popular playable races. Yet people want murlocs?
I don't mind more races, I want to see more classes or even just more classes opening to other races, like Paladin, Shaman, Druid. I know Druid would be alot of work with the new models they would need to make, but Paladin wouldn't be that big of a task imo
To me naga are way more likely than sethrak, it’s likely we’ll gather the scattered elves for midnight. And people seem to forget that the sethrak are slavers, like multiple quests are breaking people out of slave markets
Varonir: Most likely Nerubian ascended: Not likely Arathi: Just Kul'tiran/human customization options Ogres: Would be neat, but needs either a bit of work, or new rigs/models Half ogre: Same as Arathi but orc or have it be it's own thing like earthen and dark iron Snake People: YES!! But in reality they need a lot of work, plus armor pieces would been to be either removed like dracthyr or reworked to fit them Tuskarr: I can see it, but...idk I just don't think they'll be playable, if they wanted to make them before, it would have happened in dragonflight
I think it was confirmed by blizzard that we would not get ascended nerubians but I can't remember where that was. I would want Mogu however. As they are technically just the draenei skeleton and would just need a slight remodel to make them have customizations and allow standard armor.
Chris Metzan already said in an interview that he LOVED the idea of allied races when he came back on board with Blizzard and wants to do more. He compared it to DnD which he was stoked about so yes we can see a lot more. Think even at blizzcon they said we might get 1-2 MAJOR races but more allied ones over the course of the Saga. Sadly they have to make sense lorewise. I'd love to be an Ethereal and IF we have to deal with the void come midnight, who else to ask for help then the people who got wiped out by it? So that could be a thing :) Time and patience will just tell
What is it about allied races are people not getting? Unless it's a race that has the same frame as one of the already available races they're not going to be made into a allied race.
@@Dragonking1984 Except that’s not exactly true. Zandalari troll males use an NPC model from Throne of Thunder, Kul’tiran had new models (and as you saw in the video the males match Rexxar’s skeleton, another NPC), Dracthyr and Pandaren were new skeletons. We have examples for both reused skeletons and new ones. The assets exist already for the NPC races people are asking for.
@@Miller1107 Fair point but it's also a matter of character animations as well as the armor & weapons fitting without problems. The skeleton issue is just the first & most basic hurdle. NPC's & playable character are two different situations. They can't just pluck NPC's out & plop them in as playable characters. Maybe this is why in more recent expansions & patches they've put more work into NPC's? putting more work in the details & animations making more unique models with different armors, outfits, weapons & accessories. Also got to remember a lot of the models are still from the older content. Some are even as old as 20 years old & haven't been updated.
agreed the vulpera should have been alliance instead of mecha gnomes and sethrek for the horde it would keep the war aspect between the vulpera and sethrek alive ane both hord and alliance would get cool new unique allied races
Naga is one race that can happen in Midnight with the elves uniting under one banner. Azshara will also return and she hasn’t been on the void side since end of BfA
While it would be cool the issue is almost all elves view Azshara as the devil. Edit: I did actually think of a way. If Sargeas comes back with Illidan in the last Titan and we actually become buddy buddy with him then feasibly he could could be like "Azshara is cool" which would could justify them as a race especially since if we need the pillars of creation ever again the tide stone of golganneth is with Azshara
One race I really would want to see become playable (But know we'll likely never get) is the naga. Ever since WC3 I've really been interested in their lore/aesthetic. I even saw this idea by someone of them having a scaly Highborne form that they could morph into like the Worgen or Dracthyr.
ive always wanted to see playable hozen. imagine a hozen tank but the shield is held by its tail an blocking animation is that it drops low to the ground covering its head with both arms but its tail arcs forward an blocks the attack.
I know it's a stretch lore wise. But something like dreadknights as a class or an allied race would be so cool. Blizzard gave us a bunch of mini Illidans with Legion. Let me be a mini Mal'Ganis plz 😅
I still want to play an old-style, WarCraft2 Ogre-Magi. I really feel that, at this point, every playable faction race from War2, and even War3, should be playable by now. I finally gave blizz a "close enough" on the high-elves with the Blood elf and Void elf customization options, but I still find it ridiculous how much push back Blizz gave us over such an obvious race choice. You give us Real Ogres and High elves, and that completes the War2 faction races. For War3, You would also need to give us Mountain Giants, Fawn, and Nerubians, (...and Naga, Half Ogres, and Pitlords if you include the mercenary hero races). And those would be a lot tougher to do, but it would still be nice to play them. But for my crazy wishlist, I'd like to see a third faction of Old God worshipers. Maybe start off with Nerubians, Mantid, Sha, Naga, and Corrupted Humans, and go from there. Also, Jinyu need to join Alliance. And Taunka are already part of the Horde, just forgotten.
Gnoll is definitely on top of the list, but I also wouldn't mind seeing Mantid, Wolvar, Furbolg, Saberon, Drogbar, Kobold, Sethrakk, Tortollan, or Arakoa, especially if they're cross-factional. And I know we just got Dracthyr, but some of the other dragonkin would be neat too, especially the big guys and gals like (poor, late) Sendrax
Am still waiting for satyrs, i mean imagine a fire druid satyrs or a quest line with the elves attempting and succeeding to convince satyrs to join back or satyrs or one of their tribes realizing that there is no point in serving a fractured Burning Legion.
That people will actually buy/play? Half-Elves are the super obvious choice. They should also add the Mok'nathal for the weird Ogre loving people. WoW is just Blizzard's take on D&D and Mok'Nathal mirror the Goliath race, i.e. Grog from Critical Role. In think they should add height/muscle sliders and better face options for all of the races in general too.
Tuskarr by a large mile then Jinyu. Then Tortollen but given how 'dad' was on that horse walking at the slowest pace ever and freaking out maybe they're not ready for action adventure yet
the snake and spider people I would love to see become recruitable edit: plus the fish people from Pandaria, i almost forgot about em but i think they would be a really good alliance addition (just my thoughts)
I want Taunka and Kaluak to be playable. Ogres maybe. An more modifications for existing races. Forsakens with beards. Forsaken could technically be also Undead elves, or dwarves, not just humans. More mods for humans and Kul Tirans, body shapes. So many options...
Murlock for sure, ethereal would be cool, and naga would be amazing. Of coarse it also be amazing if the started adding unlockable cosmetics for all races. Like different hair styles, body types, etc.
New races will be cool but there is lots of people waiting for some new classes like Thinker for gnomes, goblins and dwarfs for horde maybe undeads or litte foxes too. Or some new talent trees for some classes like Shaman tank. Better visuals for druid forms like in Diablo to see some effeckts and feel like a reak bear or cat
High Elves? There's a lot of them in Dornogal, have more reason to be playable than most of the races you've mentioned here, and a good match for the Amani Trolls
i've been wanting to play the Haranir since I saw the clip of them in the trailer for the expansion. They were datamined being able to wear similar armor and I'm all for it, and I hope they can be druids too.. bat porcupine people assemble! Also, Haranir are more closely related to Trolls, tusks give it away, but they might be the missing link between Trolls and Night elves
After watching I would like to see a new neutral/azeroth faction added with the introduction of the Haronier, then maybe next expansion the ethereal can be added too, or other races that are somewhat neutral.
murlocs, the snake things in that zone with the vulperas, kobolds, nerubian. its a pitty blizz didnt think of the allied races to be a barber look instead. "cough" earthen, dark iron dwarf, mecha gnome, highmountain, zand trolls etc

Sethrak would be a great start as a allied race, also the haranir as well. Arathi can be a human customization option for kul'tirans, humans, and blood elves.
Look, I just want my playable Naga. Literally the main race I've always wanted to play as since WC3.
Big bulky Forest Amani trolls thats what we need
They have to sound cuban, too.
Playable races that would be cool even though not all of them are able to be Allied races since they'd need new meshes and skeletons and such: Grummles but that's kinda a meme, Jinyu, Hozin, Ethereals, Kobolds, Murlocs, Mogu, Tol'vir (this one would be hard I know), any other titan forged I'm not thinking of
Murlock as a playable race
The only race I want to be playable at this point is Saberon, I need my tiger warrior.
finally someone else. was wondering if anyone was gonna mention them. at least i have the toy that transforms me into one.
Something that looks good in armor...austhetics plays a major reason to choose my race and then racials.
I think this is a lot of the reason no one plays Mecha gnome. They look simply abhorrent in gear.
@@alyssumn3884 yeah ..plus 1 here
@@dimchriste36 they have great new hair and such for gnomes (love the rockabilly hair styles for their females) but sadly that's not nearly enough for anyone to really want to roll them.
I'm personally praying for kobolds. They put way too much effort into their models (the amount of customization), they can wear pretty much every piece of armor, and they've fleshed out their civilization and customs more. However WoW doesn't have a good track record with giving us unique and fun allied races as opposed to just reskins of previous ones.
@@trudicringevt agreed, im very tired ot seeing yet another of the dozens of elf races making it to the list of playables...hell, Dracthyr visage is only locked to fuckin' blood elf model.
@@killerofmen Exactly I'm so tired of elves man. Literally no one asked for Earthen and idk I haven't seen too much hype over harronir but I'm not rlly active on social medias. People have pleaded for races like Sethrak and Ogres for years but what can you do. I can just keep hoping for kobolds even though there's a small chance of it happening.
big time agree kobolds and fun and super different from anything else we have.
@@funkyguy9713 yeah and it's not like they couldn't make it make sense for them to become allied. They're already allies lol. They also seem to be playing an important role considering their ties to the void since vanilla. It'd be weird for them to have all this effort put into them and for them to be so prevalent just for them to be npcs but y'know, Blizz is Blizz.
Well, if we ever go back to alternate, draenor we could possibly get them As a playable race
Ogres plz. Not weird half breeds. They deserve to be their own race.
Agreed
Blizzard doesn't want to make female ones.
trouble is they would not fit inside many small race buildings without their heads clipping into the ceiling
Taurens and other races like male Draenei already do that so what's the hold up?@@Sleepy.Time.
@@eternallegacy89 depending on the Orge some are twice the height of a Tauren, ones in Blades Edge Mountains from TBC are likely even taller than that
9:13-9:17
Cho'gall: Excuse you?
Haronier strike me more troll-like than Night elf... maybe that missing link between Troll and N-elf that's been hinted at before. That said, TWW makes a solid case for making Kobolds playable....
If the Kobolds texture fits say a gnomes frame then yea it might be playable. Haronier are more then likely going to be a canidate because they're pallet swapped trolls.
let be honest, everyone love kobold but who would play them ? lol, even gnoll would be more played
@@PrimarchRoboleonFrenchyman I main a Goblin. I'd play a Kobold. I like the shorter races.
Im waiting for sethrak ... its a slim hope but... its still there...
Sethrak for Horde. Arrakoa for Alliance. Mok'Nathal for Horde. Tuskgarr for both.
Been wanting Naga, Dryads, and Arakkoa forever, or somehow come up with lore for Nightfae to be playable lol. But realistically, Nerubians would be so much fun
Something that would not be another bipedal race is what iam hoping for for years!
We need murlocs that makes the murloc sound everytime it casts a spell or activates an ability
Not happening. See my other replies for the reason why.
@@Dragonking1984 Someone didn't listen to the very end. Dude said go all out. He wants to hear the crazy ones.
Ah yes. "Kultiran" Nightelves. What everyone ever wanted.
We need Ogres. Void expansion would be great for Ogres.
Horde just wants Ogres more than ANYTHING.
Arrakoa, too... I'd roll an Arrakoa priest and shaman in a flash.
Ogres! Ogres! Ogres!
I never played WoD but I would LOVE to play as an Arakkoa and Botani. I've also seen Jinyu being popular, which could easily fit a land/sea/sky expansion theming.
Skinny Kil Tirans and bulky forest trolls would be cool
I alwasy wanted bulky trolls
Skinny kul Tirana would be what… re gulag humans ?
@stek557 there are npcs that are skinny kul tirans, they use the undead player skeleton and are super lanky, much different from regular humans
I am all for Ogres, and ascended Nerubians being playable, not so much for murlocs. It's ironic how people consider goblins and gnomes especially the mechanical ones (haven't forgotten the pandas) an absurd joke. Along with being the least popular playable races. Yet people want murlocs?
The fact that you did not mention Vrykul is a crime! The norse inspired race would be a perfect fit for the Horde.
If we got gnoll i would reroll asap.
Varonir: Most likely
Nerubian ascended: Not likely
Arathi: Just Kul'tiran/human customization options
Ogres: Would be neat, but needs either a bit of work, or new rigs/models
Half ogre: Same as Arathi but orc or have it be it's own thing like earthen and dark iron
Snake People: YES!! But in reality they need a lot of work, plus armor pieces would been to be either removed like dracthyr or reworked to fit them
Tuskarr: I can see it, but...idk I just don't think they'll be playable, if they wanted to make them before, it would have happened in dragonflight
I want this ally race Nerubians because of a trinket i have been using. This race looks so cool. I want this race.
My personal favorite choice for an Allied would be the Mogu, specifically for the Horde.
Tuskarr & Ogres
Yes! And mok'nathal would be also cool
The only thing out of this entire list that I see as a genuine possibility is the ascended spiders.
I remember when all expect to get sethraks... and we still dont get them so...
I never understood the sentiment of the alliance getting sethrak when the Horde has more reason to have them.
agreed the vulpera should have been alliance instead of mecha gnomes and sethrek for the horde it would keep the war aspect between the vulpera and sethrek alive ane both hord and alliance would get cool new unique allied races
One you missed that is foreshadowed to be a future allied race in the Draenei red skin quest is the Krokul.
Been waiting for Vrykul for years. Really thought it was happening after Legion
One race I really would want to see become playable (But know we'll likely never get) is the naga. Ever since WC3 I've really been interested in their lore/aesthetic. I even saw this idea by someone of them having a scaly Highborne form that they could morph into like the Worgen or Dracthyr.
Where nagas?
Gnolls please mongral horde
gnolls interact more with the alliance than the horde
ive always wanted to see playable hozen. imagine a hozen tank but the shield is held by its tail an blocking animation is that it drops low to the ground covering its head with both arms but its tail arcs forward an blocks the attack.
I know it's a stretch lore wise. But something like dreadknights as a class or an allied race would be so cool. Blizzard gave us a bunch of mini Illidans with Legion. Let me be a mini Mal'Ganis plz 😅
I want a new Worgen race with tails and useful racials. Or add tail options and better racials to existing Worgen.
id like a night elf variant of the worgen since the worgen originated with the night elves
Although I don't think we'll be getting ascended Nerubians, that would be SO cool and actually make sense
I’d like to make an undead version of the other races….for example an undead blood elf….
If were going to Midnight, I think Forest Trolls might become an allied race. And the Last Titan might give us Vrykul, maybe even Tuskarr, or Taunka.
Still wait for Sethraks!!!
Ogre class !!!! For the Horde !!!
Still waiting for drakkari and Amani troll (Big boyz)
Naga, Saberon, and the Botani are all at the top of my list.
Idk anything about WoW lore, but, I would like a spider race. Like Arachne sort of thing. Something more monstery I think would be fun
Tuskarr by a large mile then Jinyu. Then Tortollen but given how 'dad' was on that horse walking at the slowest pace ever and freaking out maybe they're not ready for action adventure yet
the snake and spider people I would love to see become recruitable
edit: plus the fish people from Pandaria, i almost forgot about em but i think they would be a really good alliance addition (just my thoughts)
I want Taunka and Kaluak to be playable. Ogres maybe. An more modifications for existing races. Forsakens with beards. Forsaken could technically be also Undead elves, or dwarves, not just humans. More mods for humans and Kul Tirans, body shapes. So many options...
Taunkas have the meshes to wear armor, you can see that in WoW Model Viewer for example. I don't know about Yaungols.
Knowing blizzard, they would probably just announce the hallowfall arathi as the new allied race just so they don't need to design any new rigs
Murloc
High Elves? There's a lot of them in Dornogal, have more reason to be playable than most of the races you've mentioned here, and a good match for the Amani Trolls
I wanted the Hyena people from that one DragonFlight dungeon, they seemed like they would be a fun race
Would Ogres event work? Most of the door to buildings wouldnt fit them. I want the new Kobolds though as a new allied race
I want mechagnome druid forms turning into robots :D
i've been wanting to play the Haranir since I saw the clip of them in the trailer for the expansion. They were datamined being able to wear similar armor and I'm all for it, and I hope they can be druids too.. bat porcupine people assemble! Also, Haranir are more closely related to Trolls, tusks give it away, but they might be the missing link between Trolls and Night elves
Vrykul, Ethereals, Hananir, Arrakoa (would be cool) ... and Vrykul. I need to get my little Horde hands on one of these races.
I think that naga should also be a valid acquisition. because they really have connections with old gods. Legion
Forest Trolls (bulky model) since they are already on the Horde, Ogres, Mok'nathal, Etherals, Arrakoa, Botani, Broken, etc...
After watching I would like to see a new neutral/azeroth faction added with the introduction of the Haronier, then maybe next expansion the ethereal can be added too, or other races that are somewhat neutral.
I think each allied race should also bring a new class. Like the Dracthyr brought the Evoker class.
murlocs, the snake things in that zone with the vulperas, kobolds, nerubian.
its a pitty blizz didnt think of the allied races to be a barber look instead. "cough" earthen, dark iron dwarf, mecha gnome, highmountain, zand trolls etc
I would bet that the rootlands are gonna be the new zone for 11.1 or 11.2 and then we'll get Haranir as an allied race, and that'll probably be all we get for the rest of the expac
Honestly I would like to see Murlocs as either, Nerubians and Erradar as Horde and Dread Lords either Horde or as either.
Half orc half draenei would be cool As a neutral race, I know they showed up in the draenei heritage armor beta quest
