Appreciate the in-depth review. I just purchased the 3-15x version of this Arken (DNToptics). It’s a fantastic bit of kit, especially for the price….just can’t be beat IMO. Thanks for all your content. Subscribed.
It is 1st focal plane, you can switch it in the app, put a 3.6 inch circle out a 100 yards then check it put the cross hair on the top edge of the circle, than you should be on the bottom of the circle with the first mildot down, then zoom in and check that they still align up
I bought one of these two weeks back and I'm also left handed. After you get used to the button layout it's no problem at all. The only thing I added is a throw lever for the focus not that is's tight as it's not I just wanted something extra to get hole of. I'm still getting to grips with mine but so far it's brilliant. Thanks for the tip on the battery length I find my screw cap quite hard to replace so guess my battery is a long one so will look for some short ones.👍
Thankyou . The quality between the sightmark and the ZULUS is really different . Your right the buttons are in similar locations but the Sightmark is bulkier .
What’s the arken like compared to the pard because I have the pard 008s let and having problems with the mounting and finding it hard to set up the ballistic calculator and the zero is not really staying please help me
If you hunt while holding rifle with both hands. Is it difficult to press the range finder and use ballistic calculator? Seems like it would be nice to have a wired button closer to the hand stabilizing the gun while you aim?
@@FieldsportsScotland when looking through the scope at an animal, you would not want to make any movements. Reaching over to press the range finder a 2nd time for ballistic calculator just seems like a missed opportunity for a shot.
Its not quite like that there is no big movements needed. With these units I have shot well over a couple of hundred deer. Also foxes and rabbits have been taken too no issue about missing opportunities ities @ychongy
Would you recommend this over the ATN 4k or the sightmark wraith 4k? ALSO, how was the eye relief, is it enough to put on something like a 6.5 grendel? 🤔
@@FieldsportsScotland Excellent. I have been going back and forth between the wraith 4k max, the zulus, or the ATN. I do fear the battery life on this one but I guess you could always use an external IR and just use the scope on night mode.
@@FieldsportsScotland Do you think that it is worth the extra money to get the LRF and ballistics calculator? My primary range would be 20-200 yards daytime, deer some nighttime coyote and hogs still in that same range though.
Hello! In daytime mode, how do you know exactly where the distance meter measures? Is it possible to zero the rangefinder? Pard binoculars indicate the location of the measurement both in night and day mode and can be zeroing.
In day mode it comes up with a red small crosshair at the left hand side of the main reticle . You will have to zoom back to 5x or 6.5 x to see it . The rangefinder is not able to be zeroed but is very accurate
Yer I am . I can shoot ambidextrous but predominantly left eye left shoulder right hand bolt . I have competed in comps and done very well with it. It does make using some units difficult to work with but I always manage it.
amzn.to/3Q8tKuC this is the one I use you might need to get some additional torq heads but this is by far the simplest and best one I have used that doesn't break the bank
First half of the video I had an issue with the mic the final half I bought a new mic for its far clearer . The main thoughts etc is the last 20 mins of the video
Your very welcome I genuinely have no benefits for the review really enjoyed using the scope and enjoy testing new products probably gonna buy one after this myself when I can afford it just spent my savings going for a week in Tennessee
If you would, perhaps operate your Zulus using 9900mAh batteries and give us a report on battery life. Enjoyed and appreciate your through review of Arkens' newest addition to their line of quality scopes (of which I own five). I can't help but believe a "thermal" is on their drawing board.
Thankyou . I will source a couple of the more powerful batteries I am using 3400 mah ones just now and I get around 7 hours battery life if using on first IR setting which is plenty sufficient to 250yrds . Thermal I am told is already in production and on its way .
You own nothing if it needs a APP folks the app will always belong to the company and they can switch you off Any time they feel fit to do so which the way the world is going will be quite soon. At least you can use it without one but people must start to learn that you don't own ANYTHING that's connected to the system you can and will one day lose it at the push of a button
Hi There thank you for your comment. This products isn't controlled by the app, the app adds additional features that then can be sent to the storage of the unit and used on the unit, the app does not need to be connected the unit at all times, so the product is completely controlled and owned by you. Connecting the app to this product is only needed for transfer of data to upgrade firmware or ballistic tables at any point you can fully take the unit back to factory settings and start again and at no point t will this effect the functioning of the product. I in fact recommend factory resetting the product if you do come across any issues with it. Thankyou for commenting and keeping this vlog relevant regards David, FSS admin
You sound like my boss ! You know they can switch off you car too they can track you everywhere where you took pictures on holiday etc .this is the word we are living in it doesn’t matter if you like or not and in the future with more AI .the only thing you can do is adapt or living off grid completely 😊. I always take world how it comes if the tech can help me I use it. I wach tons of videos of this unit and never seen bad reviews this scope is able to help you in hunting sytuation from predator perspective this unit is comparable to gen 3 army night vision tube and muny pulsar thermal optic worth 4K if you happy to pay good luck .this guy com play about scope wich is far better than gen 2or 3 tubes . If you compare to thermal optic is that that thermal would be moch better for spotting but would never give you the details and precision at longer range even if you spend 4 grand .You can’t make everyone happy and never will. And easier explanation would be if you compare people to painkillers 💊 tablets it will work 9/10 but the always will be the one person that doesn’t work for him .if for someone this scope is too complicated get the basis one and try use at night and then good luck. One thing I learned is that people who complain about everything even sit down up front of a tv with a popcorn 🍿 still will complain about the popcorn.

A comprehensive review. Thanks.

The Sightmark Wraith has all functions on the top, so its easy to use with either hand.

The Arken Zulus is probably the easiest NV I have ever set up. The Pard has had its issues like most

@ychongy I never have an issue and I have not heard anyone having any issues

Which would you say has a better picture/view at higher magnification, the arken or pulsar c50?
The Arken hands down
I’m guessing you are left eye dominant then?

The display in Arken is twice smaller than in 008.
Not really sure your right about that. The quality of image in the Arken is far better than the Pard
