as a soccer player, nagi’s goal was definitely the most difficult. for me kaisers bicycle kick is more difficult than his magnus just cuz yeah triceps shots are definitely difficult and definitely very difficult to get that much power on, but for one the ball was at a dead stop and two bicycle kick goals are the peak goal in all of soccer period.

Seeing Ubers at the very start of the chapter already made it a 8/10 for me. Sadly no snuffy tho 😞. Barou rooting for isagi, I loved that. Isagi and barou really are each other’s biggest glazers ngl 😂
About Kaiser’s Magnus shot, it was extremely impressive don’t get me wrong but the reason why I rate this goal more than his Ubers one is because of just how much narrative and emotional weight it carries.
Also about rin, I *still* think he’s going goalless this match. Remember he unlocked his full potential when he had disregarded everything that was tying him down during the u20 match. But he literally went back to obsessing over his brother, infact he actually doubled it down by adding isagi as well. We even see in this chapter just how much he is obsessed with isagi. But now he has seemingly started to enter flow after sinking into his obsession? Yea to me that seems like a red herring by the author.
Also a friend of mine in the discord stated how much the current rin parallels second selection bachira. She explained how Rin is afraid of losing isagi as a rival because isagi isn’t focusing solely on him like he thought he would be. What Rin truly wants is someone being his wall and always staying that way, he hates being alone. So he essentially wants sae and isagi to always stay as his rival (wall). So Its essentially Bachira expecting isagi would stay with him as a friend/buddy but yeah- replace “friend” with “forever rival”. Rin is desperate like bachira. He’s scared of losing his obsession for him bc isagi is evolving rapidly while he doesn’t. It’s exactly like how Bachira was afraid seeing rin and isagi evolve without him. Both rin and bachira’s thematic’s at their core is about loneliness. but the way it’s going to me it seems like unlike bachira, rin is gonna fail to realise this.
Soooo yeah until I see rin completely disregard everything just like bachira did I don’t see him scoring. (Even then bachira *did* fail to score after awakening so it’s possible that rin fails as well)
Side notes: 1) Loki gets the award for the worst couch of the century.
2) Zantetsu’s about to pop off let’s gooooo.

The “luck” aspect was Kiyora deciding to pass to him. He has no particular preference and said that both Kaiser & Isagi would have scored if they were given the ball.
And the backstory doesn’t change the fact that he’s worked to make that shot possible. His backstory was shown because of its relevancy.

Kaisers goal was absolutely spectacular, the skill, the shot power to do that, it would’ve definitely been goal of the series… But Nagis shot was so fake it was otherworldly😂 I’m surprised and upset that goal was actually too good. But Magnus goal is definitely Kaisers best goal of the series it’s literally a wth just happened type of a goal

Nagi's goal is easily best in the series, NOBODY is recreating that. Kaiser's goal this match was tough but not too rare, players irl have done that, rin has pulled of that type of shot a few times but it most likely wasnt as strong or fast as kaiser's. in my opinion "eat shit assholes" was a far more impressive goal.
Edit: if Kaiser gets a 180 Mil increase off of that one goal, EVEN IF he didnt miss, that would be nonsensical. but then again thats talking like this is real life, its not, its a manga so it could happen.

I've played and watched football for pretty much over half of my life, and yeah, there's no question, Kaiser's Ubers game is pretty much the only goal in the NEL that comes close to accomplishing the near impossibility of that absurd 5 shot revolver of Nagi's.
That being said, the sheer amount of spin Kaiser's Magnus seems to have from it is drawn and paneled is also quite out there, in the sense that for you to put that much spin in the ball, to the point where it seems like it is going waaaaay off the goal, and then It comes back in, isn't really possible without sacrificing a *huge* amount of power behind your shot.
Don't get me wrong, plenty of professional players, wether in set pieces, or in an individual play, do manage to shoot the ball with enough spin and power to accomplish something similar, but if you look at those kinds of goals, the ball does have considerable spin but it's never enough to comprise on a significant enough amount of power. The ball will look like it is going off target, but most of the time *only slightly* off target, not to the magnitude that the Magnus shot is portrayed in.
So yeah, while this Magnus shot is layered in the usual amount of Blue Lock exaggeration and most epic and badass framing possible, it is still one of the more reasonable kinds of goals we've seen in the series, in terms of suspension of disbelief at least.
I still love goals like Kaiser's Ubers goal and Nagi's Manshine Goal, but what those goals lack in terms of, I hate using this expression, but I guess, "realism", they compensate but being so absurdly fucking cool and amazing, especially with that paneling and framing, that you just don't care and can't help but be in sheer awe of what you just saw.
It's a different kind of appeal, but it still works in Blue Lock since the Manga has established itself as being way more "out there" than some other sports manga with what it is willing to allow its characters to accomplish within the sport, you already expect this kind of thing from Blue Lock to a certain extent, so you can't help but to fucking love it nonetheless

For Rins lack luster performance since his one chapter Charles their main midfielder has literally been trolling and only passing to shidou even while shidou is man marked. He literally gave up on a whole play causing a change of possession cause he was bored.
