William "Wild Bill" Guarnere lost his brother Henry Guarnere (at Monte Casino). He survived the war after his crazy actions at the Buldge and passed away in 2014 at a ripe old age of 90!
@@StuGLyfeand they had many surviving members of the platoon as advisors to the actors, who would remove themselves from the scene when the actual soldier said they weren’t there
@@WWXspartan058 Yes, also their crimes like looting and harrasing citizens where real. Not only the Axis did that. Actually, most country's getting freed disliked the Americans and preffered the British.

I’m literally just just got done watching a video of yours of you playing power, and now you’re playing a game that I religiously play all the time! Love it and I know you have a good taste 😂
@@Proxygamedev012 Yeah. Just really crappy UI design, either should of had T+ or nothing at all but just flashing up a timer for 16 minutes was a weird choice as if it helped establish the setting better.
Interesting dick winters made an appearance , he and easy company left from upottery airfield for France . Approx 1300 men left from there in 80 skytrains bound for Normandy . I live just down the road from it , hallowed ground . I drive my Willys Jeep along the runway in the summer , quiet now , one can only imagine what it was like that night as they embarked those aircraft bound for war .
Dick lived in around hershey I grew up in Frederick MD only 45 min to an 1hr away from hershey and 30 mins from Gettysburg and 20 ish min to antietam and 5 from monocacy battlefield spent lots of time on those fields and lots of relics
Yes play more CTA, some quick tips though. If you hold shift with your medic you can queue revive orders. Also quick key to go prone is left alt. Good for when the enemy is right in your face.
So they're portraying Easy company from time to time huh? Boy have they expectations to meet then. By the way I think you can take maschineguns from vehicles too
Playing as the Americans plus smaller skirmishes has me a little more interested in trying this game out. Somewhat unrelated question for you Wolfpack345. Do you ever play tabletop historical/wargames, or are you strictly a video game guy?
Just me being picky, but 5:06 that field watch on the right of the picture has a seconds hand that does one tick per second which is typical of battery-powered quartz watches. However, quartz watches wasn't popularized until late 1960s and early 1970s (the "Quartz Crisis" that killed off many historic watch brands), and during WW II wrist watches were most definitely automatic movements whose seconds hand should have a smoother "sweeping" movement
The blood scene was probably the result of a love triangle between the cow on the field, a bull she was interested in, and a rival, resulting in a grueling fight where the rival was eaten after being dispatched.
The gameplay looks great, but I am really uncomfortable with the way they are name-dropping actual soldiers, especially the ones made famous by Band of Brothers. The 101st pathfinder commander doesn't get a name (IRL: Capt. Frank L. Lillyman) but we get Winters and Guarnere and others? That feels exploitative, like 'memberberries, not respectful or interested in historical accuracy.

"FLASH"
"AAAAAAAAAHHH, Saviour of the universe!"
"dammit Jeff you know thats not the correct response."
I thought the same thing.
These short cutscenes remind me of the old school CoD and company of heroes.
the aircraft flying 10m above the search lights & moving like it's Minecraft.
I agree and i really miss the first call of duty.
“Haven’t had a moment to catch our breath” he said sitting on a chair by a table 😂
Also… Dick Winters!! And Will Bill! Fantastic 😁
17:30 There's one unwritten rule in Gates of Hell. Medic is always killed (or concussed) first in the group.
"If you came here for good gameplay..." Dude, this is how I play games as well. This is good gameplay!

"We're not lost Private, we're in Normandy"
I dunno how clocks work in France in 1944 but that’s pretty damn dark for 4 o’clock in the afternoon in June…
Do you mean the timer that says 16 minutes I mean let's be honest that is pretty dark for the French to be 4 pm I guess the French are just weird idk😂

@Cipher160 indeed I do agree with that
Also, they only had mechanical watches at the time, so the seconds wouldn't "tick" like with battery-powered watches.
Far be it from me to malign our fine troops, but these guys do seem short a few brain cells 😆
10:31 Fun fact: That's the voice of HOI IV UA-camr, Bokoen1, as this Mark Thompson guy.
No way bokoen1 did some of the lines 10:30
I had to do a double take when I heard that.

wtf how did I miss this game?!?!?!?! Gates of Hell, ok, heading to Steam... Thanks!
They’re having a sals right now for the DLCs, they’re not all that expensive and add a lot of content to the game.
Mr. Cow😂, I think it's Mrs. Cow
Thanks for the great episode of what I hope is a long series. Love the scavenging part!
More Gates of Hell please! Thank you for all your videos!
It was fun watching the game play. Yes, do more we are curious to see where it's going. You can't stop now.
Need to keep the medic alive.. *medic is hit by an armored car*
Oooops

Love Gates of hell....you should definitely do more
5:45 "Remember the code words" *Cling*
Yep I'm fucked
Detective Wolfpack showed up at 9:10 very briefly
You should make this a series.
Really engaging entertainment... A bit stressful --- suspenseful, but still entertaining.
The briefings remind me of COH
grenading the collaborator completes secret mission.
Yes more!!!!!
"Cause of death: Hit by car with no driver"
you could have used the panzerfaust the german troops left to disable the flak guns safely
the cutsences reminds me of good ol CoH1

Great Work.
OG Medal of honor cutscenes
More videos please
If you want to see good game play this ain't the place! CLASSIC!!😂😅
Few familiar YT voices, would have been amazing if the actors from BoB could have done voice overs as well.
More pls
It might have been a little easier if you took the motorcycle with the machinegun.
U can take the MG but not the majority of the vehicles on this campaign.
@@OneofInfinity.I was wondering if that was a glitch or not. Thank you for confirming I wasn’t crazy.
You didn't lose seven men, every time someone goes down and you have to revive them with a medic it counts them as a loss.
"Alarm! Green Beret was detected"
Medic hit by a car and,…then a cow
"A few hours later..."
Lol, where's Cheeta when you need him.
Sounds like Mike Rowe from Deadliest Catch
Sounded more like James Woods to me… 🤔
This game looks nice!
More!
16:05 Does the game actually use Medal of Honor music?
Easy company?! Let's gooo!
'Band of Brothers' + 'CloseCombat' = .......?
Only UA-cam channel I’ve bothered watching in the last month😂
Is it me or is that James Woods narrating the opening? 🤔
Flash - thunder. Did the germans the same kind of code?

Good L Shaped ambush.
Oh look Wolf plays a ground war sim for once. You should ask JW maybe he will invite you for one of his reenactments.
Isnt this just like Men of War?
it uses the same engine but with higher quality textures and more realistic gameplay, than men of war 1 or 2
💯👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🐺🙂
