From what I've gathered when you hear clapping applause when a news article emerges it's good and a legal sinking, it gives you more points. If it's bad you hear lots of people murmuring to each other ominously. Oh also ships that carry precios metal, usually that means gold or artifacts, can be sold for quite the profit back at base.
@@silverseth7yes you can. If the wrecks are in reachable depths to can. It has happened to me that I have found a sunk ship full of gold. I carried as much as I could and made tons of money
The only times I sunk a ship full of gold were in my previous campaign during the beta. Didn't happen to me anymore but I'm in 1943 so I unlocked the mission to go loot one in the Mediterranean. Although I already got a million marks.
Sinks 8 ship with 5 torpedo. Doesn't use a torpedo for the main objective. Does it on the surface while under fire of a warship. Engage said warship with a 20mm AA gun. Engage 3 ship at the same time. You know, that skipper that questionned your decision in previous episode might had a foresight gift.
A Uboat pulls in to port, there's a huge scorch mark across the mast and on closer inspection the shrapnel from an exploded HE shell is found lodged in pretty much every surface. "Bad mission Kapitan?" "What? No. We sank tons of ships, probably our best journey so far including the time we sank an Aircraft Carrier."
If you rewatch at 48:26 you'll see that the ship in question awarded 1000 Points, 5 times the normal amount. That was a prize ship because of the cargo it had specifically. No bad sinkings here
I think Wolfpack should unequivocally back these devs. I've followed subsim for over a decade, we've seen the hate this game got "sims in a uboat". Wolfpack is the most prominent content maker I think in the more "hardcore side" of subsims. This game is amazing, these devs are amazing. They built an incredible platform and made it super accessible to mod. They know modding is key, as it's a niche title. These devs did an incredible job.
Yeah I don't understand people shitting on this game because they play only SH3 GWX. Like come on, SH3 vanilla ain't that good compared to this game vanilla. Apples to apples, this game has a great future and potential ahead with mods. People are so obsessed to show off publicly how they play the "really hardcore GWX" like oldfags. Hahaha, that last engagement, two ships watch you use a 20mm AA gun instead of torpedoes to attack the objective ship and they don't get the hint that maybe you're out of fish and instead decide to both surrender their ships without resistance. One guy on deck with a rifle could have sent you packing but they handed you two laden ships for free instead 😂
@@БабайАлибабаев Haha, true, but a rifleman could hide on any one of the decks and shoot from the relatively stable ship while the machine gunner would first have to notice he was being shot at (probably not obvious when you're standing next to an angry AA gun) locate the shooter, and then get rounds on target all while swaying back and forth, being sprayed by seawater from the open deck of the tiny U-boat. Even if it took the freighter's crewman a few shots to land a hit, it's unlikely that he'd get spotted and taken out before wounding the machine gunner. Heck, Wolfpack was having some difficulty even hitting the ship at all. Standing out on the ship's deck likely wouldn't have been fun, but your chances of actually catching a 20mm round from him would probably have been pretty low even if he had been trying to aim at a particular spot 😂
@@resurgam_b7 then the submarine can decide to increase the distance to be out of rifle range. Moreover, the sub does not need to take out the freighter's defenders, it needs to punch enough holes in hull/start enough fires by hitting a large freighter, not a small human. How do you set up the torpedo data, without doing the stuff like angle and speed etc? you dont even look through the scope, just use the computer enter the data and bam most of them are hits. I use the map and calculate the angle and distance and still have a lot of miss torpedos. :(
He engages ships from a close distance. TDC inaccuracies are less of a problem if you are 1km away than 5km or even 8km from the target ship. It comes from experience too. You need a well trained eye for AoB. Speed is not really a problem since generally 7-8 knots is the norm for a convoy or lone ship. Distance needs to be updated just before the shot especially for FAT and LUT torpedos and set accurately. Train with the basic three UI inputs (speed, AoB and distance), shoot, watch the torpedo's cam to see what went wrong, rinse and repeat. You can make a save specifically for that approaching a convoy and just keep practicing until you get it and then switch to the TDC directly.
I love this series and all the old war stuff! I see your new series and it looks impressive but I would rather see WW2 or older sims. Anyways, we'll see WW3 stuff IRL if God tarries much longer. Lol. Maranatha!

Wolf man, you should play Iron Wolf VR with a couple friends, its a very fun VR submarine game made by a single dev. If you need friends that have VR headsets to play it with I can join lol
What is the significance of rigging the lights in blue or red?
What realism setting is this? How can you be on the surface near those ships and not get detected?
Lol.
