A little about me:

That mic/phone set up is cool. I use a blue yeti also connected to a new iPhone pro max. It’s def not as compact so for outdoors it would be more cumbersome and no app the controls are on the mic. If I didn’t already have the blue yeti I’d get this set up for sure.

I bought an MV88+ for iPhone 15 Here’s my issue. The vid on my camera facing me is lower frame rate and dark looking using motiv app. I upped it to full 4k 60 and I compared my standard vid camera app on my phone and on your motiv app. Unfortunately I can’t get it to look like my camera does on built in camera app. It’s almost like it’s being processed through the Shure motiv app and thus altering or reducing vid quality making it darker and less colorful. Is there a fix?
I assume the mic on the table is going to a mixer then amp.

What mic are you using before switching over to the Shure mic? The one before sounds a lot better and cleaner.
I agree, but the one before is a more expensive pro mic. This mic is just to upgrade the audio you get from your phone. Shure did a great job because the difference is crazy. Obviously, this isn’t Hollywood film sounding but it’s still a huge difference for people who shoot social media content from their phone.
Sean i just got this mic but wondering if I should have got the Audigo instead, but its complicated using third parties to get it to Japan, but Audigo almost sounds quite a bit better
Did you get the audiogo? I found the shure incredibly inconvenient to use. When recording audio tracks and voice memos I need to tap record, and to hear playback, I have to go back to the motive app, adjust playback for the mic, turn it back to normal, and go back to my voice memo app to record again. There is 0 playback comparability. If recording through the motive audio app, I can record, but can’t hear playback unless I finish recording, so there’s no way to go back on the track and re-record a section or even hear your recording without exporting the track

I was about to get this mic until I saw that it has a micro usb connector. Those are terrible. I'll hold off until there's a usbc option.

Record it with your phone. Then with the device. See how well it works. This video was a complete waist of time
