This song makes me want to dance all day long 💃🏾 it's just so freeing and I love Soul Train so much, I wish I was born at that time to be able to have been apart of it 🥺❤
Amazingly, Ross received no Grammy nomination for this song or the album it came from - vocally its among her best work.. The Grammy Award has always been fickle towards Ross.
In 1980, the year for which this song may have been eligible, Dionne Warwick won the Grammy for "Deja Vu":en.wikipedia.org/wiki/22nd_Annual_Grammy_Awards#R.26B In 1979, Donna Summer won for "Last Dance":en.wikipedia.org/wiki/21st_Annual_Grammy_Awards We'd have preferred that Miss Ross won, of course, but, the ladies who did win are also great legends.:)
SweptAway 529,,, Diana Ross is the most underrated Artis of all time ,over 18#1's recordings in The USA not to mention her Worldwide chart top recordings since the Supremes till today, The music industry has barely recognized her work, with over 12 nominations (Endless love, upside down, and countless Supreme hits) she has been denied the winner, its her peers in the industry who never honored Ms, Ross with that prestigious Grammy ..although in 2014 the industry finally gave her a Grammy Achievement award, that was never televised during the show, what a let down. But Diana always says she doesn't focus on the negative, she has her Family and the FANS,,,,
+TheReturnofStephan1 l love Diana Ross, but she pissed off a lot of people in the industry. And when it came to voting, they left her out purposely. My opinion. Just like the Oscars and Lady Sings The Blues, she was already known as a diva and l think that cost her the Academy Award. They kinda thought she was too big for her britches, so to speak, and brought her down a peg for not giving her a Grammy or Oscar. Just look at the speech Gene Hackman made in 1973 before calling the winner for Best Actress. l think that speech was meant for her and then they called Liza Minelli's name.
Everyone looks gorgeous! I looked like that too back in the best of days …..love the 70’s and 80’s .
Her vocals are right on point

Music was so soulful bck then!
Exactly people don't dance anymore because there's nothing to dance to!
There must have been a very stringent physical criterion for these soul-train dancers. These young people looked amazing! Everyone! PWG

MEMORIES so glad i was to dance off this song when it was first released
Bons tempos 16-06-1961
No nací en esa época, pero me encanta ese género, siento la música disco en las venas.
Ci divertivamo in modo meraviglioso...eravamo ubriachi senza saperlo.
Was she nominated for a Grammy for this? She deserved to win a Grammy.
