Just sick and tire of people hating on cars that they don't experienced at least a ride on it. everybody has his own preferences, people should at least respect the work others putting in this cars to achieve any goal they want to, takes a lot of work and money to make things like this, to me is impressive to have a V6 3.8L engine go that fast and for that I salute.
Everybody isn't getting that the GTR accomplished that speed in 1 mile. That is the whole point of this. The GTR has more than enough power to surpass that speed but its how quick it gets there in only 1 mile. The Buggati had a never ending amount of track to achieve its top final number. Very impressive accomplishment for the v6 GTR
doomie61 that's obvious that's with all cars not just Nissan Gtrs so your point is what let's be honest all engines no matter what makes all need servicing even the most expensive super and hyper cars
Koenigsegg has v 3 gemera hybrid that can go 250 mph so small v blocks can go toe to toe with bugatti v 16 engines... or v 8 turbo ultimate aero cars also
Nissan gtr 2000 bhp can do zero to 60 in 1.9 s and top speed beyound 250 mph that is amazing it can go like a f 1 in a track and beat a bugatti in a 1 mile road...
Every1's a critic! give the guy credit he wanted his toy to be FAST so he made it fast .. WELL done mate dont let the haters hate on you .! KEEP up the good work.
veyron fan boys be saying veyron does 267 yes but a gtr with a 3.8l v6 can do 250mph in 1 mile so if it had 5 miles like the veyron did it would piss on a veyron
+jake lambert This car starting bouncing on 6th gear, clearly redlined hard. A bugatti on 6th gear is smooth as fuck and could probably go a little faster with more track.
Can't help not to notice that it didn't have any engine or breakdown problems after this mile run like 70% of Lambo's do when they're tuned like this ... also, can't wait to see AMS Alpha's response to this :D
I am a 39 year old kid that has been working for over 25 years and finally got to grab an R35 GTR. As an "average joe" on a budget I can show you what a stock Geeter does on civilian roads. (don't tell my momma) See my video a day in the life of the GTR on my channel.
Probably a stupid question but should it count if the GT-R is souped up? Bugatti and Koenigsegg are both factory cars while the GT-R is completely after market
if you already know that you are going to ask stupid question, then why would you even ask it? And yea that is stupid question and i don't even understand what is point of it, you didn't answer to anyone(?), and even tittle says top speed world record FOR NISSAN GT-R!! That obviously means that it is fastest nissan GT-R not any other car and also looks like on standing mile, but maybe it already hit limiter... I know that there is Ford GT with top speed of 455 km/h
Jared Moore i wonder how far they could go if they would tune a bugatti? 2.5k hp? :D. that would be insane. but who knows maybe that engine is pushed to the max so ther is no much room to go.
Tadaaahhhh not even close to max push... bugatti themselves tested the engine FOUR DAYS on an engine dyno with unlimited fuel. this test had hours of max speed, multiple launch controls, race track simulation etc. and the engine lasted very well still. the turbos size of the veyron is just about the same as the golf vii R (well fits as well, the golf vii r has a 2.0L 4 cylinder with 300hp while the veyron has 4x cylinder, turbo and hp numbers :D ) you could just put bigger turbos in the veyron and go for 2000+hp^^
I think its on auto. It depends really whether he's preprogrammed the shift points (if its possible) to shift at the best rpm for the individual gears. Since its a dual clutch, manual shift and auto shift happens at the same time but for manual paddle shifting, you have to take into account the drivers reaction time and not just the gear shift time unlike in automatic mode.
What really bothers me is that these aren't true top speed tests, these are just mile drags. If you really want to test a car's top speed, give it 10 or more miles of straight road.
Those who compare GTR to bugatti don't know what they are talking about. Bugatti is NOT a race car. It just happens to be very good at it. The whole point of bugatti is all-around excellence, which includes speed, refinement, interior quality, etc. Thats why it costs so much. It has a high top speed and the way it gets there is like nothing else. You can drive it around city and due to its looks and prestige you will be a rock star, in comfort. On the GTR, the guy is snapping his neck with each gearshift. The car is very unstable. And, has a bunch of tape everywhere. It has only one purpose, while bugatti has many. So don't be silly and don't compare them.
It snaps your neck -Because it's fast .. Of course you can't compare the incentive to buy either car, of course Bugatti has a different brand and the Veblen factor to consider, but I do think you can compare the cars engineering wise. The engineers from Bugatti claimed at the unveiling that they had to use the W16 with quad turbo and 10 radiators to achieve stable 1001 HP and even claimed they pushed this displacement to the maximum potential, but I personally call that the biggest load of bull; they are just trying to justify all the ridiculously pumped numbers that are supposed to sell this car to ignorant oil sheiks and rappers. I mean the Zenvo ST1 pumps 1100 HP on a V8 twin charged (this is not a street ricer mind you) and I could name many more that makes around the same output with way less displacement than the Veyron, less turbos and less radiators that run stable and durable (Koenigsegg, Ultimate Aero, just to mention the factory ones), seems the Bugatti engineers have some trouble with consistency there.. People are just arguing that this is stupid engineering, and I happen to agree. Also with the fact that pumping around 1700HP on a 3,8L V6 really puts the powerplant in the Veyron to shame (I mean, imagine what the Veyron could achieve without that big heavy lump of stupid).. I talked to mr. Nakayama, lead engineer of Mine's in Japan, and they haven't even changed the gaskets in their demo R35 making about a 1000HP running many dyno runs and street pulls etc; So don't even pull the durability card. (By the way, they still run the same internals on their record holding R34 "Ultimate Straight Six" as they have been doing many years, I believe it made around 900 HP) If you think I'm being dishonest here, I'll send you a couple of pictures of me and mr. Nakayama grinning in front of a lot of Skylines.
Very valid points. Personally I don't find the Veyron beautiful at all, of course this is a taste question that can not be argued upon with facts, but this definately has me biased against it on other fronts as well; should I look inward. "Also, there is no doubt that if you induce a crazy high psi, like they do for tuner GTR, bugatti would put record numbers." -exactly my point, and this is why it made me twitch, when I heard the Bugatti engineers claimed they had maximized the potential of their engine. -of course very high boost/tuning would sacrifice comfort and definately gas mileage to a ridiculous level that would contradict the purpose/usability of the car. My point was simply that many smaller displacement cars are in fact able to challenge the Veyron in performance, when exclusiveness and exoticness is taken out of the equation.
Yes, I would definitely agree with that! Although, it has been a while since they claimed they maximized the potential. I'm not sure, but I think Bugatti is like 10 years old now, so maybe if the new one comes out they will improve. But yeah, I agree overall.
Motec says ))) But we don't know was it calibrated properly or was that speed on one mile mark or after. Anyway, Lamborghini is fastest car at the moment, waiting for 2014
sammythesnake1986 We actually did that once and the driver was quite pissed when I had not only went past the finish line but also made a full round of the track so I ended up behind him and waved to him in his back mirror. And all that before he even had released the clutch.
And this is why I consider the GT-R the best car in the world. Decently affordable, out handles just about everything, incredibly tunable, and it looks awesome.
With the Syvecs EMS, we have dialed in auto-shift at a pre-determined RPM. It may seem silly that you could miss a shift on a paddle-shifted DCT, but the truth is the tachometer accelerates so quickly that there can be up to a 3000rpm delay between the display and the engine, and if you hit the rev limiter the run is botched. Syvecs and auto-shifting allows us to see just how quick it can be without chance for driver error.
A dual-clutch transmission, is a type of semi-automatic or automated manual automotive transmission. It uses two separate clutches for odd and even gear sets. It can fundamentally be described as two separate manual transmissions contained within one housing, and working as one unit. Cited from GOOGLE. Ergo Automanual.
Well yeah, but that car also costs over $2.5 million. Comparing the Bugatti's W16 8.0L with 4 turbochargers versus the GTR's 3.8L V6 Twin-Turbo, this GTR is far impressive in what it's putting out versus a Bugatti SS.
That's another example of a car I would think is more practical. But the most practical car I can think of for around the same price, a little more is the new Audi RS7 (105,000). It is a monster of performance for a four door, (0-60 in a tested 3.5 seconds, 553 hp, 512 lb-ft or torque, and the top limiter set at 190) and has all year capabilities due to the Quattro AWD system and huge cargo space. The RS7 I think is what should be recognized as the everyday supercar if you look at those aspects.
The older vq35's, which the vr38dett is based off of, can make upwards of 2000hp, 2500hp is achievable with the right fuel. The main issue with those power levels is putting it down. Nissan v6's have always been very potent engines when built. Don't ever let the number of cylinders/displacement trick you into thinking an engine can't make power! There are 2 liter 4cylinders that make over 1400hp.
Every engine blows at high HP, no matter what fans think, it's just a matter of time when pushing them like this. The Alpha 12+ has blown twice, AMS has cracked blocks, Switzer cars have blown up, and all at much less than 2000hp.
Yeah I know! That's why I said that. I said I don't know why people are crazy about interior space aspects and odd things. It's not about getting groceries, but enjoying that it is an incredibly fast cheaper supercar.
Everything from the custom cams to the exhaust tip and everything in-between (turbos, manifolds, downpipes, etc) affects the sound on this beast. It's a much different animal.
Well from ever since I know that the Nissan gtr was the world greatest super car it never have a limit its just keep on going on going an never seems 2 stop at all wish to own one some day to come
wow, great for a GTR, 250 is some milestone! pretty amazing how the Supra guys were aiming for 250 with their cars turned down to 1300whp years ago and got pretty damn close! multiple 240+ passes taking the top spots 3 years in a row turned down! 247.7 being Tommy's best pass running 1300-1350whp. too bad no one from the Supra camp is competitive anymore to utilize the latest turbos, EMS's and modern trends to liven up the mile scene in TX again
Eddie, its even higher:-) 455 km/h !, set last year by Performance Power Racing’s Ford GT’s and officially recognized by Guinness World Records, this means it is the average of driving 1 mile in both directions within short time.
Rumor is AMS Performance will upgrade the Alpha 12 to the Alpha 16+ package for next year event. Also Switzer Goliath wasn't run to the full boost potential due to slipping clutch so the beasts got more speed in it as well. Totally insane speeds, stay safe.
Hey Dawg, I heard you liked automatic transmission so we put an automatic transmission on your automatic transmission, so you can not shift while you don't have to shift.
thats what makes it the best sports car. you get unreal performance and you still can fit small children and some groceries. so when people say the gtr is a grocery getter, it makes them look bad because a grocery getter just smoked their asses
Please don't compare the veyron SS with the GTR. The reason behind so much excitement and love for the GTR is it's price tag. It costs a fraction of the SS and with a few modifications can easily match up to the SS. I'm pretty sure that with all the modifications done to the GTR in this video it'll still cost less than half of the SS. That's the beauty of it.
the record was set by the lamborghini superleggra 405 KPH (251mph) and 402 KPH IS 249 mph that's why they didn't show the mph or KPH but the lamborghini one did.
Nissan GTR black edition twin turbo v6=525 hp. Mustang Gt v8=420 hp GTR black edition = $100,000+ Mustang Gt=$35,000 you can add A LOT of power with $65,000, you could argue that the mustang has much more bang for the buck because with 65,000 into that mustang you could have completely race tuned Eibach suspension, tremek or getrag transmission, two supercharges, nitrous, forged rods, pistons and crank. A race cam. Nitromethane conversion. Major computer tuning, 4 performance wheels and slicks,
402 KPH for V6 Twin-turbo that car is a BEAST!!
Who say thst the engine is V6?
what?

each gear that changes on this beast gt-r sounds like a tank gun going of listen for the gears changing.pure beast
Well yeah, but that car also costs over $2.5 million. Comparing the Bugatti's W16 8.0L with 4 turbochargers versus the GTR's 3.8L V6 Twin-Turbo, this GTR is far impressive in what it's putting out versus a Bugatti SS.
+Luis Pablo If you change the transmission settings on that GTR, you might be able to hit 300+ MPH. So yeah, Japan should keep making cars.
It's an amazing achievement for the underdog.... it's creeping up on the hyper cars... that cost 20 times more than it does.
The Veyron Super Sport did go 430 KM/H, but at a length of 2 miles and was maxed out. The Venom GT was close to 430 KM/H, but wasn't maxed out.
That car is amazing. Have to respect a beast like that.
The rest are sports cars, while GTR is a science project. The legend lives on...

Nissan GT-R Mk.1 Switzer Goliath [1700 HP] 1 MILE-22.602 sec -402 km/h
huge balls! no roll cage? imagine hitting the wall at 400kmh and doing 100 flips
Well from ever since I know that the Nissan gtr was the world greatest super car it never have a limit its just keep on going on going an never seems 2 stop at all wish to own one some day to come
Nissan GTR still my very best favorite, dream car ever, like no other, former knight rider fan, Cars;-)
Agreed, I'm a huge Lambo fan, but facts are facts :P
wow, great for a GTR, 250 is some milestone!
pretty amazing how the Supra guys were aiming for 250 with their cars turned down to 1300whp years ago and got pretty damn close! multiple 240+ passes taking the top spots 3 years in a row turned down! 247.7 being Tommy's best pass running 1300-1350whp. too bad no one from the Supra camp is competitive anymore to utilize the latest turbos, EMS's and modern trends to liven up the mile scene in TX again
I think everyone knows that AMS will respond. I can't wait!!!
Totally insane speeds, stay safe.
oooooooooo 250 yeeeessssssss been waiting
Hey Dawg, I heard you liked automatic transmission so we put an automatic transmission on your automatic transmission, so you can not shift while you don't have to shift.
На трек пришла осень )
Autumn has come to this track )
thats what makes it the best sports car. you get unreal performance and you still can fit small children and some groceries. so when people say the gtr is a grocery getter, it makes them look bad because a grocery getter just smoked their asses
@DoomDriver, the speedometer only shows a limit of 325 KM/H, that's why 402 KM/H didn't appear.
That thing is a BEAST!
the record was set by the lamborghini superleggra 405 KPH (251mph) and 402 KPH IS 249 mph that's why they didn't show the mph or KPH but the lamborghini one did.
Why hasn't this been made into a movie yet! come on
Nissan GTR black edition twin turbo v6=525 hp. Major computer tuning, 4 performance wheels and slicks,
I love GTR ❤
Great thing is that the interior(maybe almost) and exterior is close to the original shape.
