There is a long way for us to go before viewer sensitivity is a thing in Indian Cinema... Not just our industry...everywhere.
Everything is repeating and they show like women can't do anything without the hero help, by that I don't mean make the women a 'powerful' character who can karate chop everyone with one punch, but make them realistic, like they have some common sense and stuff, and not some 'I think he loves me and I love him since he is forcing me to go out with him', we need common sense man. Anyways we are getting some good telugu movies nowadays and I like this movie where the villain was not killed or punched to death by hero and it was veery realistic of the situation, it felt so good to watch that movie, the villain was also not agonizing the hero by kidnapping the female lead(which is a typical thing the movies show) . Thank you Jammy ❤️
I was rolling when Shakti took metaphor seriously and literally played football 😂😂😂
Pogaru song reminded me of another hit telugu song 'choopultho' from movie 'IDIOT' of Ravi Teja that glorifies harassment, bullying and stalking of women.. !!!!!.. Its too creepy and shocking.... !!!
What's weird is that generally these are the antics of a villain in movies but when hero does it, its seen as funny, cute or romantic ... !!!!
One can name many old songs for this case but showing same now is worse and proving the same point ...
There's a dialogue in pogaru, hero States that he is some old school kind of lover,he can only express his love through cutting his vein and wants to write love letters with his blood
My mind was like: wtf is going in here?
Seems so illogical
There is an 80s kannada film where hero writes a love letter with his blood. I guess that's the reference there 😂😂 anyway why'd anybody even want to watch Pogaru for, I've no clue.
I don't know and I will never understand how someone can find that to be romantic......I personally find it traumatizing and toxic
@@boredflaneur even tamil and telugu movies have those scenes, but these days the hero's in our big budget films do different shit like harrassing rather than writing blood love letters
Eww 😝🤤
All these scenes served as Kabir Singh's inspirations. 🤣🤣🤣
@YASH SINGH Is the Vijay Deverakonda version worse than Kabir Singh?
@@route1854 it's the exact same... Scene to scene copy has been done
@@ipsitapriyadarshini255 Damn really? Because so many people criticize Kabir Singh more than Arjun Reddy so I thought their was something different about Vijay's version than Shahid's, or maybe it's just some personal bias 🤷♂️
@YASH SINGH already seen, perfect way to make a modern day devdas
@@route1854 cause the Bollywood version became more popular and hence received more criticism... And obviously it's a remake so....
When Shakti screamed football 🤣🤣🤣.. I almost died laughing. 🤣🤣
I’m a kannada girl… I wouldn’t ever watch pogaru… couldn’t even watch that song… the song itself is soo frustrating that I didn’t even give a second thought about watching that movie… and also, I agree with your point that Dhruva Sarja should’ve not made such a movie… but I also think that women in the industry must also stop agreeing for such repressive roles… the movie was not appreciated among kannada people… none of my friends or relatives watched it even when it was telecasted on tv.
0:31 that was my literal reaction, thinking papa sahi kehte hn yr unke time ki movie ki baat hi alag hh.Thankyou bhaiya😂 for bringing this video ❤️
Me too and I'm wearing glasses as well
As a Kannadiga, I hate Dhruva Sarja's movie choices. He has a vibe of a very talented guy, but MAN are his movies cringy.
But for sure u wud agree that addhuri and bahaddur were much much better than this .. though I haven't seen this at all
@@strongrealcritic1461 ya, for sure
his acting is like a 5 year old kid. no emotion range at all.. just showing a agitated look on face for every emotion.
@@sowmyas9118 yeah... What to do... They don't have time to go to acting school...
News: that "Football!" scene made Messi and Ronaldo retire.
