We begin this episode by taking a look at what materials you’ll need, including your vinyl cutter, heat press, and heat transfer vinyl. Next, we do a brief demo of how to import and set up your design using our SignMaster CUT+ARMS vinyl cutting software.
Then, we show you how to load your vinyl sheet into your cutter and go over the settings you’ll need for this project. After doing an area test, we'll show you the proper technique for cutting and weeding your design. We'll even teach you how to transfer all of your design elements onto a single sheet.
Once we have our design ready, you'll learn how to properly transfer a vinyl design onto a doormat using a Ricoma Auto Open Flat Heat Press. Finally, we’ll talk about the kind of profit you can make with a project like this, as well as why we were initially skeptical about using vinyl on a doormat.
