Hi John! Thanks and that's great! My son still has his and it's running great. Make sure to use sta bil fuel treatment. I always treat my fuel to prevent carb issues.
Appreciate this video on torque spec, manual didn't have one. Our manual states 0.6 L and 5hr maintenance schedule so will be interesting to see what my daughter's takes EDIT (took closer to 0.8L). Will be changing her's for the first time this weekend and taking her to Tall Pines NY for some easy beginner riding. Side note: The factory exhaust heat shield is insufficient and sticks out too far. If you hug the bike with your legs like you should high chance of getting burns she already got stung once. Grabbed a Design Engineering heat pipe shield and will install that before we head out. Should fix the problem but we'll see. 🤞 After seeing that 5hr oil change maintenance schedule the first thing I thought was "if she sticks with this, I'm sooo getting a yammy or honda for her next bike."
Hi Christopher, I am glad I included that for you. My son is still enjoying his pit bike. He hasn't gotten a burn thankfully but it can happen. Great you identified that for your daughter! Make sure to double check all the bolts on the suspension and engine cradle. My son's did back out after some time and I caught it early enough. Honda does make some great bikes!
Hi Joel! You got it! I need to do the chain adjustment with my son soon which will make another great maintenance video. He loves this pit bike and the 110 is a good size to grow into. Do you own a pit bike as well?
We have not had any issues with the clutch yet. There is an internal spring on a lever that has come out twice and I had to take the cover off and put everything back into place. I stretched out the spring a bit and it helped.
I disagree. The second oil change should be done early to remove any metal contamination. There is always some in there. My sons bike is running great still. More is better.
Thank you i change it with my son also!
That's great!
Loved the video, used it for me and the boy...He has the same bike, just about to do our first oil change. Thanks.

Good job dad
Omg in working on my nephews bike. I didn't know it had break in oil in it. Shoot I'm def going to change it for him.
Keeping up on those oil changes are super important for longevity. Sons bike still going strong.
Think might need Jason-ma spec oil. Are these wet clutches?? Not sure

That oil doesn’t have “JASO MA”
Would it damage the clutch?
It has not on our bike.
How much oil did you guys end up using
The bike takes about 1 liter
Omg I had my 110ssr dx for 4 years and haven't changed the oil 😅
Yipe! Hopefully, it will get one soon!
@@AskTheCarExperts did you today
@@AskTheCarExperts another question could you tell me the size and how many teeth are on the front and rear sprocket
It doesnt use a oil filter
@bigmiketruckingandqauding No not on this pit bike
You don’t have to change the oil after two hours that’s stupid

he's right its typical on any new engine to change oil almost right away to get rid of metal from fresh engine seating
